Re: [VFB] whiting co-op swaps
Byard used to meister them and do the plucking repackaging. If someone had the time and inclination, and was a long-standing member of the VFB in good standing and accessible by other VFB-ers, I could get them set up with Dr. Tom to get wholesale pricing on 'co-op' saddles. This time he will send the re-packaging bags and header cards, so there's no problem with his re-packaging rules. RE: [VFB] whiting co-op swaps
I think that it would have to be someone who is resident in the USA that meisters the swap or there could be customs or tax problems. Generally I don't have to pay when bringing across the border for personal use, but large quantities may be a different matter. Re: [VFB] whiting co-op swaps
Actually, Byard provided the bags and card stock along with shipping them out. We plucked and sorted them, sent them back and he sent the results out to the rest of the participants. Sitting at the kitchen table plucking and sorting two saddles into 12 piles each is not something you easily forget. Re: [VFB] whiting co-op swaps
I don't know what Dr. Tom would charge. I'd get my Pro-Staff discount on top of the wholesale price, but I'd have to know what saddles were ordered and how many for a multi-saddle discount. First thing we'd need is a qualified meister. If the meister didn't want to pluck for the skins ansd sof hackles, then we'd need pluckers. Then a two-week campaign of VFB sign-ups to know how many saddles and of which kind. Then I could get a price with the multi-discount applied. Byard printed his own header cards, and Tom said that was agin' the rules. So how many VFBers want to saddle up again with the vo-op, and who wants to meister, and who wants to pluck for skins?
