RE: Single ear headset suggestion

2013-01-14 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Kim,

But the nice thing with the Apple earpods or the original Apple headset for
that matter is that you can easily use it just in one ear. Just use the
right side which has the controls and let the left side hang around the back
of your neck.

I guess you could spend the $35 and buy an extra pair and simply cut off the
side that doesn't have the remote. That would be a lot cheaper than any
bluetooth earpiece and you wouldn't have to worry about charging it or
experiencing that tiny delay you always get with even the best bluetooth
headsets and which is annoying if you are trying to type something.

If you don't already own the new earpods because you bought an iPhone 5 I
would recommend you buy those and cut off the one side on your old headset
and that way you have the better quality one for stereo/both ears if you
want that.

Regards,
Sieghard

Set the Roder two containers. This will take you from the left-hand side to
the right-hand side and back. Down swipe to the right-hand side, upswept to the
left-hand side. Sometimes it will take more than one swipe up or down, but
you'll get there.

Thanks, this is very valuable. Here in South Africa we don't
have the luxury to be able to take an item and test it
first. We have to purchase and then it is just to bad. I now
tend to go for the Jambox also because it has some built-in

Hello I was trying to decide the same thing.
I first got the Bose sound link and tried it for a day or
two.
Yes it had nice bass.
But the mids and highs didn't seem pleasing to me.
So I took it back and picked up the big jam box.
And I love it.
It has good sound all around and it can get quite loud with
good osund
threw out.
You can also use the big jam box as a speaker phone when you
get I call
if you are using your I Phone for music or streaming audio.
Also the big jam box batter runs for about 12 up to 15
houts.
If you can go to a store like Best Buy or a store like that
and check
out the both of them and see which one you may like.
But my vote is for the big jam box.

Siri 6.2 bugs

2013-01-14 Thread sensex
I used Siri to play music with my IOS 6.1 For example I would say - Play Music
Rolling in the Deep by Adele. And Siri would immediately start playing it.
Yesterday I upgraded to 6.2 and now when I give the same command, Siri asks me
- Which app would you like to use Music or Tune in radio or or Talking Tom or
etc etc it gives a long list of my apps but fails to play the music I asked
for!
Are there new commands in 6.2 or is it a bug? I am really disheartened as this
Music play feature was very useful. Why are we going backwards with each
update? As it is with 6.x I can no longer change labels. . . .

Re: Single ear headset suggestion

2013-01-14 Thread Cheryl Homiak
I thought about doing this before I bought my Motorola hx550 bluetooth headset.
I have two iPhones and I thought about taking two sets of earpods and wearing
the one with the controls of each set in an ear. That would have worked fine
and I might yet do it for some situations. But what I like about my one-ear
bletooth headset is that I can wear it on or in my ear and if i position it
right, it is much more comfortable for me than the earpods and I can hear my
surroundings better. I typed with it in church the other day and didn't notice
an annoying delay though I'm sure there must have been a slight one. However,
since the a2dp only works with the first paired phone, I'm investing in a
second one for times when I do need to hear more than just phone calls for both
phones. But even with just one bluetooth headset, I like the way I can choose
the phone to call with and the phone to answer and can even set it to tell it
verbally to answer or ignore. It works with siri though it's either a little
buggy or doesn't work quite all the way; I haven't taken time to try to
research using it with siri better yet. It isn't much more expensive than
earpods; ones that ship with prime fromAmazon ar $45 and some cents; I saw some
there for $29.98 but was a little leery of the low price. You can wear the
headset on your ear with a hook, in your ear with a hook, or in your ear with
gels. I debated between this and the Bluent Q2 but thought the battery life
would be better with the Motorola ones. I know there are quite a few headsets
out there and some of them are much more expensive than the one iI got so maybe
they are better but I'm happy with this.

Seven LIttle Words Driving Me Crazy: Help, Please!

2013-01-14 Thread Christine Grassman
Weeks ago, I made peace with this app's semi-accessibility, because I am so
addicted to it. However, since last night it is driving me nuts.
Each time I attempt to purchase one of the fifty-puzzle packs, since I have
completed Sunrise and one that I purchased previously (with no problem), it
offers me a game I have already played. I cannot seem to order new puzzles, and
I cannot figure out how to stop the app from offering games I have already
played; I am not double-tapping on any of the numbered puzzles.
As an aside, has anyone figured out if there is a way, without entering the
game, to remember if you have played one already? I go in order, but sometimes
mess up. Thanks.

Re: Siri 6.2 bugs

2013-01-14 Thread Cheryl Homiak
Have you tried experimenting with some different wordings for your command?
Have you tried telling siri in your command what app you would like used? Also,
have you considered that some people might like to have choices as to what apps
they are going to open music with instead of a default being assumed? Maybe
this will turn out to be a bug of some kind, but it always amazes me how people
immediately label anything they don't like as a "bug". I think it would be
interesting to have a discussion on this list about what actually is the
definition of a bug because the term, at least it seems to me, gets used very
quickly and very loosely.

I assume people are talking about 6.0.2, which was just released for the
iPhone 5 and other newer devices. Therefore, if you have an iPhone 4S,
you'll still see 6.0.1 as the latest firmware.

As for the first part of your question; I don't use Siri with the screen

I'm encountering a bug (I presume) where Siri locks up when I give a simple
"Call so & so" command. It just sits there clicking away and if I deploy
the "Listen" button, the recognition alarm sounds immediately followed by
the listening mode. When this happens, I have to dismiss Siri and start
over. It sure worked nicely in 6.0; but since 6.0.1 it's been a bit
cantankerous.

Sure, you can use siri from a locked screen. You hold down your home button and
ask siri your question. When the response is finished and you press home, you
are in the place where you can slide or double tap to unlock the screen. I'm
assuming this is what was meant.

SPAM email, hacked email accounts and password safety

2013-01-14 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi List,

I have seen this before, it is clearly SPAM and since Anna is a legitimate
list member it probably means somebody hacked her account. This is why I am
also forwarding this message to Raul directly in case he didn't have time
yet to read it. Hopefully he has a way to contact Anna or maybe she will
read this post. She needs to change her password immediately and I would
probably hazard a guess and say her password was probably a fairly simple
word. I can only stress again how important it is for people who use a word
even if it is 8 or 10 characters long and contains maybe a number or 2 to
change it to a random password with upper case and lower case letters,
numbers and symbols. Not all websites allow symbols, but if they do use
them. Here is a good article about password strength and it contains a
method I have been using for some time. The article gets a bit technical at
times, but I encourage everybody to read it anyhow:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Password_strength#Creating_and_handling_passwor
ds

In section 5.2 a method called "mnemonic passwords" is described like this:

Password policies sometimes suggest memory techniques to assist remembering
passwords:

mnemonic passwords: Some users develop mnemonic phrases and use them to
generate high-entropy (more or less random) passwords which are nevertheless
relatively easy for the user to remember. For instance, the first letter of
each word in a memorable phrase. Silly ones are possibly more memorable.

I suggest not to use a well-known quote like "To be or not to be, that is
the question". Use something out of your life that makes sense to you. For
example:

I really like Clive Cussler books, for those who aren't familiar with them
the 2 main characters are Dirk Pitt and Al Giordino, one of my favourite
books of his is called "Inca Gold", it was first published in 1994.

Using this information I make up the following sentence:

Inca Gold is my favorite Cussler book; Pitt and Giordino are awesome! 1994

Note I used upper case for the first leeters of the book title"Inca Gold"
and capitalized the first letters of all the names. I used a semicolon in
the middle of the sentence an exclamation mark at the end and I stick the
year when the book was published at the end. This sentence contains 12
words, 2 symbols and 4 numbers. If I use the first letter of each word, the
2 symbols and numbers it gives me an 18-character password. I know this may
be too long for many and it's sort of a pain to enter it especially on a
virtual keyboard, but this is just an example although you should use at
least 12 characters to have a really secure password. If I were to use this,
the resulting password would be this:

IGimfCb;PaGaa!1994

I do actually use 14 to 18-character passwords for iTunes and other sites
where my credit card is stored, entering them becomes pretty easy after you
do it a few times and on the PC I use Roboform to fill them for me. Anyhow,
I think my point is clear, a sentence like this is easier to remember than a
12-character password generated by a random password generator, but it's
just as random to anybody else or to a password cracking program. OK, enough
said, keep save online and for those who have kids, teach them not to use
their best friends name or birth date as a password, if you use this method
coming up with good passwords becomes a habit like brushing your teeth.

Regards,

Sieghard

RE: Siri 6.0.2 bugs

2013-01-14 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Bill,

As Cheryl pointed out, SIRI works fine with the screen locked. I use it all
the time when my iPhone is tucked away under my coat and I have my headset
on. I press and hold the middle button of the headset remote until I hear
the triple tone indicating SIRI is listening. I then say what I want, maybe
tell it to text somebody and I always speak my message immediately. It then
repeats it and if it sounds good I press and hold the middle button again
and tell it to "Send" or maybe if it's a reminder to "Confirm".

Sieghard

RE: SPAM email, hacked email accounts and password safety

2013-01-14 Thread Exracer
Though this info is useful you have forgotten about the simple malware that
may or may not be on her computer. It also can cause mass Email messages to
be sent out if the address of the group is in her address book. All it takes
is a simple bit of malware to do what you have seen here. It doesn't have to
be as complicated as a hacked account for this to happen. It should be noted
that this probably came from a PC Email address book hack and not from an
iPhone hack as I have never heard of anything like that happening from such
a device. Thank you Apple for your built in security!

Sure, you can use siri from a locked screen. You hold down your home button
and ask siri your question. When the response is finished and you press
home, you are in the place where you can slide or double tap to unlock the
screen. I'm assuming this is what was meant.

I'm encountering a bug (I presume) where Siri locks up when I give a
simple

"Call so & so" command. It just sits there clicking away and if I deploy
the "Listen" button, the recognition alarm sounds immediately followed by
the listening mode. When this happens, I have to dismiss Siri and start
over. It sure worked nicely in 6.0; but since 6.0.1 it's been a bit
cantankerous.

Re: iPad mini

2013-01-14 Thread Rick Alfaro
The split screens being referred to are called containers and settings
definitely isn't the only app that uses them. Downcast for example uses
containers and one can move to different containers by setting your
rotor to containers so flicking down and up will move you among
containers. There are definitely other apps designed to work on iPads
that use containers as well but don't have a list right now that I can
recall to give you. Containers can be very handy and efficient when
used properly in an application.

Re: Big Jambox or Bose Sound Link

Yes, it is not as accessible as it should be. However, the Bose upgrade was
even worse. I had to use Jaws Convenient OCR to install the upgrade on the
Bose. I haven't had an update for the Bigger Jambox, but I did install

Fanus,

I did a comprehensive review since I have both of them a month or two ago
on

this list, so maybe you could look in the archives.

The bottom result is both have similar sound, although the Bose might be a
bit more bassy; however, you can get a similar result by adjusting the
phone
equalizer. From a user friendliness standpoint, there's no comparison.
The
Jambox controls talk, you can know your battery level and blue-tooth
pairing

is a breeze, whereas the Bose sometimes can be a bit finicky. The pairing
issue might not matter if you only use one device with the speaker, but we
use the Jambox 95% of the time now because of its friendly features.

Greetings to the list.

I am looking for a GPS app that announces turn-by-turn instructions
along a user-entered route. It should also announce street names and,
preferably, be helpful for auto driving. I know of Navigon, but are
there other products I should be looking at?

Thank you for all help.

It is not a quality you find discussed in reviews and I don't feel like

The apple keyboard for ex I consider quiet. THe thinkgeek case with keyboard
is not. IT makes clicking noises even if you try to write slower.

Re: Single ear headset suggestion

2013-01-14 Thread Casey

Hi how do you lie this single ear headset.
I have the plantronics voyager legend and I like it alot.
but how does this Motorola compare to that headset?
How well do you sound to the other person tha you are speaking to on the
phone and how well do you hear them using this headset?
Also can you use sirs with this headset and how long does the battery
last with this headset?
Also what all if anything will give you verbal feed back like batter
status and things like that.

I know when I use my plantronics when I turn it on.
It will tell me how much talk time is left and what the battery life is.
So any and all information tha you can pas along on your headset would
be treate.

than earpods; ones that ship with prime fromAmazon ar $45 and some cents; I saw
some there for $29.98 but was a little leery of the low price. You can wear the
headset on your ear with a hook, in your ear with a hook, or in your ear with

I agree. Containers are found in tons off apps on the iPad. Messages, mail,
youtube, twitter just too name a few. I love the concept. Once yu understand
how it works, it cuts down on navigation. And if your using a BT keyboard,
with quick nav on, pressing control left/right arrow navigates by container.

Bose Sound Dock 10

2013-01-14 Thread Alan Paganelli
I use the Bose sound dock 10 with the Bluetooth adapter so my iPhone stays
in my pocket. The sound is simply amazing when you consider these are 128
kbps mp3 files It's Bose's top of the line unit for iPhones. It isn't
cheap at around 7 hundred dollars but it sure is worth it. Their add says
it might be the only stereo you need. I don't know if I'd quite go that
far, however I'm also pretty sure that finding people who would agree with
that statement wouldn't be hard to find either. The sound dock 10 is not
something you would want to carry around. It weighs around 25 to 30 pounds
and is strictly not battery powered. It does also have a 3.5 Mm jack in
back for other smart phones and mp3 players and the BT adapter is another
hundred bucks but I like having my phone in my hand. It also has a video
pass so if your watching a movie on your iPhone you can pass it to your TV
and keep the audio through the sound dock 10 You can't see the sound dock
10 at Target etc. It's only sold online or in a Bose store. Still, you
really have to hear it to believe the sound it produces..

Hi Everyone,

Maybe I'm dreaming, and hoping for too much, but getting through email on my
iPhone 4s is a struggle! Mainly because after I finish with one message,
delete it, and prepare to go onto the next, I'm at the end of the message

Is there an easier way to quickly read through a bunch of mail?

If anyone can offer help or suggestions, they would be happily and

Re: SPAM email, hacked email accounts and password safety

2013-01-14 Thread Alan Paganelli
Um, any password can be hacked. No matter how careful you are and all that,
given enough time, password can be hacked. I had a password of 14 spaces with
both upper and lower case letters etc as you described and changed it every
other month and yet I still got hacked. They aren't using trial and error any
more. The providers are doing all they can to protect users but it still
happens and even to the best of us.

Subject: SPAM email, hacked email accounts and password safety

  Hi List,

I have seen this before, it is clearly SPAM and since Anna is a legitimate
list member it probably means somebody hacked her account. This is why I am
also forwarding this message to Raul directly in case he didn't have time yet
to read it. Hopefully he has a way to contact Anna or maybe she will read this
post. She needs to change her password immediately and I would probably hazard
a guess and say her password was probably a fairly simple word. I can only
stress again how important it is for people who use a word even if it is 8 or
10 characters long and contains maybe a number or 2 to change it to a random
password with upper case and lower case letters, numbers and symbols. Not all
websites allow symbols, but if they do use them. Here is a good article about
password strength and it contains a method I have been using for some time. The
article gets a bit technical at times, but I encourage everybody to read it
anyhow:

  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Password_strength#Creating_and_handling_passwords

In section 5.2 a method called "mnemonic passwords" is described like this:

Password policies sometimes suggest memory techniques to assist remembering
passwords:

mnemonic passwords: Some users develop mnemonic phrases and use them to
generate high-entropy (more or less random) passwords which are nevertheless
relatively easy for the user to remember. For instance, the first letter of
each word in a memorable phrase. Silly ones are possibly more memorable.

I suggest not to use a well-known quote like "To be or not to be, that is the
question". Use something out of your life that makes sense to you. For example:

I really like Clive Cussler books, for those who aren't familiar with them
the 2 main characters are Dirk Pitt and Al Giordino, one of my favourite books
of his is called "Inca Gold", it was first published in 1994.

Using this information I make up the following sentence:

Inca Gold is my favorite Cussler book; Pitt and Giordino are awesome! 1994

Note I used upper case for the first leeters of the book title"Inca Gold" and
capitalized the first letters of all the names. I used a semicolon in the
middle of the sentence an exclamation mark at the end and I stick the year when
the book was published at the end. This sentence contains 12 words, 2 symbols
and 4 numbers. If I use the first letter of each word, the 2 symbols and
numbers it gives me an 18-character password. I know this may be too long for
many and it's sort of a pain to enter it especially on a virtual keyboard, but
this is just an example although you should use at least 12 characters to have
a really secure password. If I were to use this, the resulting password would
be this:

  IGimfCb;PaGaa!1994

I do actually use 14 to 18-character passwords for iTunes and other sites
where my credit card is stored, entering them becomes pretty easy after you do
it a few times and on the PC I use Roboform to fill them for me. Anyhow, I
think my point is clear, a sentence like this is easier to remember than a
12-character password generated by a random password generator, but it's just
as random to anybody else or to a password cracking program. OK, enough said,
keep save online and for those who have kids, teach them not to use their best
friends name or birth date as a password, if you use this method coming up with
good passwords becomes a habit like brushing your teeth.

  Regards,

  Sieghard

Re: any more voices for the i phone?

2013-01-14 Thread Alan Paganelli
In Settings, general, accessibility,voice-over, language rotor, are all the
voices the iPhone has. There are 3 English voices. US English, British
English, and Australian English. You can select any or all of these voices
to be added to the rotor. You can also select other languages such as
Spanish Mexican etc. Then when you want to change voices just make the
twisting motion with your thumb and index finger such as you might when
turning a volume control up or down. Note: you must repeat the gesture to
move from item to item. In the rotor note 2, not the language rotor are
other items you can add or remove from the regular rotor such as things like
characters, words, text fields and more.

Hi Rebecca,

Apple has apparently not considered additional voices important at this
point and since Apple controls these things rather strictly, it is of
course

not possible to install additional voices in any other way.

It would be best if you wrote to ap...@accessibility.com and asked them
that

you would consider an additional voice a useful feature or at least they
should make the voices for the various countries they have availableto be
set as default without requiring one to change one's region to that
voice's
country. In addition it would be nice if they allowed for the download of
at
least 2 HQ voices. I did request the latter from them, but of course if
more

people do they may actually do something about it down the road.

Sieghard

Re: taking a picture with the camera

2013-01-14 Thread RobH!
The 1cam app is good for this as most of it is automatic, though remember,
it starts taking pictures as soon as it opens and stops as soon as it's
closed using the Home button. But for sure you do get plenty of pictures,
so one of them should be the right one.
But using the ordinary apps, I hold the phone in such a way and be sure I
have one finger on the take picture button, double tapping shakes the camera
and ruins any picture you take. So I have a finger on the take picture
button to start with and when ready, gently touch with a thumb and it does
it. The camera/phone has to be very still for pictures to be any good.

It is nice that all of you like the game. It is called BuzzMem without any

If you have any suggestions how to improve the voice over support please

As a gift here are three download codes for the game. First come, first
serve.

BuzzMem Download Codes:
E7XWW3KF44KK

The Game Center button is only enabled if you have a Game Center account.
You can set it up in the Game Center app to compare scores with your
friends.
The FaceBook and Twitter button are totally optional and you have full
control about what you will post. There is no automatic posting.

Right now the version 1.1 is in review. It will bring German localization.
I will try to support more languages in the future. But it is hard to find
someone to make a good translation for the Voice Over part.

Dear Listers,

Someone on the list has helpfully suggested that if I'd like to have
Samantha as my default voice instead of Daniel, I could do so by changing my
regional settings to the USA.

I've tried to accomplish this but I'm not quite sure how to do this. Could
someone please give me step by step instructions? I feel such a fool. I've
changed my region to USA but Daniel is still my default voice. How do I
switch to Samantha? In the language rotor I can choose English and it is a
female voice but it does not sound like Samantha used to sound. It's rather
strident unless she has changed her personality. How do people download
Samantha if they do at all?

I look forward to any suggestions.

Thanks in advance

RE: Choosing Samantha as default voice

2013-01-14 Thread Dani L Pagador
Hi, Andrew.
It didn't seem to matter what region I had selected; I changed to Australia,
and still had Samantha as my default voice. I got a wee bit of a hint when I
listened to the podcast on the rotor options for IOS6.
Under the VoiceOver, find the Language roter. Go through the list and
double-tap to select the languages you want to use (I've selected U.S.
English, Australian English, and Irish English.) These have now been added
to the rotor settings.
When you cycle through the rotor now, you should have Samantha/U.S. English
as one of your choices. I'm not sure what she used to sound like, but that's
why I have more than one kind of English option selected; it gives me the

Subject: Choosing Samantha as default voice

Andrew

As the subject line says the latest release of Pages fixes the accessibility
issues that were prevalent in other builds. The unlabeled buttons are now
labeled and the rename feature for documents are now there.

Re: Bluetooth headset in church or no-interruptions environment?

2013-01-14 Thread Alan Paganelli
You've got the wrong end of it here. When you flip the privacy switch on the
side of your iPhone, it kills all sound going to the main speaker but not to
the Bluetooth ear peace. If your Bluetooth ear peace is fully charged, they
usually last up to a week on stand by and offer up to 8 hours of continuous
talk time so you have nothing to worry about.

I'm the president of our home owner's association here and we don't permit cell
phone use unless you are using an ear peace and then you must leave the meeting
board room.

I've just gotten so use to wearing my Bluetooth ear peace that I don't even
notice any more. I like using it because it keeps my hands free when using my
dog guide or cane. Note: any incoming call you get just goes to the ear
peace. They have a volume control on them so you can set it to what ever
comfort level you want but if your expecting them to be like ear phones for
listening to music, it's not going to happen. Using a Bluetooth ear peace is
like holding a phone to your ear. It has a built-in microphone to pick up your
voice and the ear part to hear your caller.

Some other apps work better if you use a Bluetooth ear peace such as Dragon
dictate. Many games as well will switch the audio to a connected Bluetooth ear
peace.

They come in all price ranges from about 10 dollars up to several hundred
dollars. The better the ear peace, in general, the better they are at blocking
out noise caused from wind blowing into the microphone when walking outdoors on
a windy day.

  Hi all.

I am using a motorola hx550 headset (one ear). I really like it. However, in
church and other really public situations where interruptions wouldn't be
appropriate, I am still using my iPhone earpods. i would like to go completely
bluetooth but I am wondering about the following:

  (1) Is it likely that the bluetooth might go down in the middle of something
so that I would suddenly find my iPhone talking for everybody to hear?
  (2) If the bluetooth headset is hanging on my ear instead of being in my ear
(I have choices with this headset), is it likely that people sitting near me
would hear it and be distracted.

I would be in airplane mode with bluetooth on and would have notifications in
locked screen turned off plus the mute button would be engaged. But I would be
taking notes and using my bluetooth headset to hear what I am writing.

Fanus,

I did a comprehensive review since I have both of them a month or two ago on
this list, so maybe you could look in the archives.

The bottom result is both have similar sound, although the Bose might be a
bit more bassy; however, you can get a similar result by adjusting the phone
equalizer. From a user friendliness standpoint, there's no comparison. The
Jambox controls talk, you can know your battery level and blue-tooth pairing
is a breeze, whereas the Bose sometimes can be a bit finicky. The pairing
issue might not matter if you only use one device with the speaker, but we
use the Jambox 95% of the time now because of its friendly features.

Re: Locking screen without picking up IPodTouch

2013-01-14 Thread RobH!
Some of the bt keyboards include the sleep button, I've shut down a device
with those. But that is a larger keyboard, not a dinky one like you might
use with an iPod. Touching all the things on screen don't make a lot of
difference so long as you don't double tap them, or split tap them I
suppose if 2 fingers get involved. In truth, it's the first time I've heard
this as being an issue. In the absence of a keyboard, you will have to pick
it up at some point.

Hi all,

Is there a way of turning off the IPodTouch 5th gen without having to pickup
the device? As is whenever I try picking it up to pres
the physical sleep button on top I end up pressing all the buttons on the
home screen. There are many, many very experienced Apple
product users here, so I was just hoping I could tap into the accumulated
knowledge on this list. I know I can place the sleeping
iPod down and tap the home key to turn it on, so I'm hoping there is an
equally quick way of locking the screen. Thanks.

Re: iPad mini

2013-01-14 Thread RobH!
Yes, iPads are like that as they have so much more of it to work with. I
find landscape and both thumbs is a workable option.
Mail for example, slide left thumb down the side for one of the accounts,
tap with other thumb, slide down with left thumb for message's titles, tap
with other thung to open, touch with right thumb in the head of the message
body and so on, resume sliding down left thumb to check out more, and so on;
use one to feel around and the other to tap for split taps; works quite
well.
Bak button is always, nearly always top-left you can go straight to with
left thumb, tap with other.
The keyboard is split in the middle when typing, so all is in reach for the
thumbs. I never thought I'd adopt this method.

Subject: SPAM email, hacked email accounts and password safety

Hi List,

I have seen this before, it is clearly SPAM and since Anna is a legitimate
list member it probably means somebody hacked her account. This is why I am
also forwarding this message to Raul directly in case he didn't have time
yet to read it.

Regards,

Sieghard

RE: Repost question about quiet keyboard

2013-01-14 Thread Joe
I have the ZAGGfolio keyboard case. I'm about to publish a review of it on
my blog tomorrow. I don't know if it would qualify as small since the
keyboard is meant to be used with the case, though you can pull the case out
and use it by itself, and it is very quiet the way you're looking for. Crap,
you know, I'm typing this message and neglected to add that it's meant for
an iPad. LOL I mean, you can use the Bluetooth keyboard for either an iPad
or another iDevice, but it's very much an iPad keyboard case.--Joe

Small is good. I have small hands.

Thanks for the info. I am waiting to see about the braille touch app
because, if it works, it would be perfect for just jotting down notes
quietly.

Best and still open for suggestions with quietness in mind.

Take care,

Hello. I know about several of them actually. They are all a
bit different, so you will want to read their descriptions to see
which one you want.

Here are some of the apps I've used.
1. White Noise
2. Sleep Machine (I don't think this one is accessible any more)
3. Astral Dreams
4. Pzizz Sleep
5. Pzizz Energizer
All of the apps I mentioned, except for Astral Dreams, have a

Re: Deleting e-mail messages without opening them

2013-01-14 Thread Christopher Chaltain
Yes, if you're running IOS 6 then you can move through the in box (note
that if you pause a bit, you'll even hear the first bit of the message)
and then you can do a flick down to toggle between delete or default
(which will open the message. Double tap when you hear delete, and it's
gone.

But that is opening the message and what I'm really asking is can you delete
a message without opening it at all?

Sharing Videos

2013-01-14 Thread Ezzie

Hello list,

Is it at all possible to share videos from the Youtube app to
Facebook, Twitter, etc? The closest I could get was clicking the
"suggest" button and nothing seemed to happen.

Thank you,

If it's not working for you, turn the rotor to actions and then it will work.
