It's been a while since I've done this, but I think a three finger swipe 
right (or maybe left) until you get to the last page, will let you sign 
in. It's been discussed on list a bit, so if I'm wrong, you can check 
the archives.

dropbox problem

I upgraded to the latest version of the dropbox app on my iphone 5s running 
ios7.04.  When I start the program I get a screen that says welcome swipe to 
learn more about dropbox.   Also, on a separate line, it says have an account? 
sign in.  At the bottom of the screen it says page 1 of 4.  
Problem is there seems to be no place to click to start the signin process, and 
the swipe to learn more doesn't seem to do anything either.  
Anyone having success with this app?  What am I missing?

Re: other apps beside dropbox out there

Both of these apps are free. I find them useful for different situations.

I use Ubuntu One the most. I mostly use Ubuntu as my OS on my PC, and 
with Ubuntu One, I have my home directory stored in Ubuntu One. Whenever 
I add or change a file in my home directory, it gets synced to Ubuntu 
One. Using Ubuntu One, I can basically have the same home directory on 
all of my systems running Ubuntu. I can also have these files synced to 
my systems running Windows, and I can access these files from my iPhone. 
If I need to look up something that I know I have stored in a file on my 
home directory on my PC at home then I can get to it from my iPhone 
using the Ubuntu One files app. You will need to download something to 
your PC, whether you're running Windows or Ubuntu. Note that you don't 
need to use Ubuntu. You can still take advantage of Ubuntu One just 
running Windows, installing the Ubuntu One application for Windows and 
the Ubuntu One Files app on your iPhone, similar to DropBox.


I don't install anything on my PC to use Google Drive. there may be an 
application you can install for Windows, but if there is, I haven't 
installed it. I use Google Drive to access those files I upload to and 
create or share in Google Docs with other people. The editor Note 
Master, can read and edit documents located in Google Drive.


I use DropBox mostly to take advantage of those apps which have built in 
DropBox support. Note Master supports DropBox, as well as Google Drive. 
Other editors also have built in DropBox support.

Yes, both games require headphones. They both rely on direction, especiZ ear 
monsters, which places sounds at dierent angles. Most audio games do 
require headphones. I think there's only one I play, Zany Touch, which is sort 
of like BopIt, that doesn't require headphones.

self-promotion that I had to unfollow. I did have an issue with an update, but 
I deleted the app and went back to a previous version and it has been fine

I'm afraid I can't offer you any direct help, but I can tell you that
the developer of Elements, Second Gear, has at least temporarily
withdrawn the app from the U.S. App Store because of serious bugs.  I
was told this in an email from Second Gear a couple of weeks ago.

Is there a chance you need to switch the app to full screen? You can do 
this via a special button usually located at the very bottom of the screen.

Re: Seeing Eye GPS Issue

I can definitely confirm the issue of wrong side of the street for 
destinations. NO other GPS app that I have has this problem. 
I use Seeing Eye GPS to plan the route but always use BlindSquare to locate the 
destination because of this problem. 
I agree that it's frustrating at best.

Dropbox is tampering with your folder structure on the Mac when a folder is 
shared with you. The Mac will ask for your Mac password to verify that you 
accept this activity. If your Mac was initially set up with no password, just 
press Enter. Otherwise enter the password and it will proceed to accept the 
folder.

Were you playing music or an audio book in the background? I noticed the other 
night when I was walking home from the pool that ‘the Seeing Eye app did not 
announce upcoming intersections while I was playing Audible. I started my route 
at the pool to go back to my house (about 2.5 Km/1.5 miles) and since it was 
9:30 at night and I live in a small town where I usually don’t encounter any 
people on this particular walk and not even a lot of cars, I put my iPhone into 
my jacket’s chest pocket after I started the route and after I then started my 
audio book playing.

 

The Seeing Eye app would tell my my turns, but not announce upcoming 
intersections. At first I didn’t even really notice, but then when I did I 
paused my book to check this and here it was telling me my intersections again. 
This is on an iPhone 5S.

I have been using this app on my iPhone and Touch for a couple of years. I just 
tried it on my iPad Mini, and it is behaving very strangely.


I tried looking in the App Store to see if they had a version for the iPad, but 
could not find one. Does anyone use this app and know why it would not work 
properly on the iPad? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

access my atbat and mlb accounts with only one subscription last year on both 
my phone and my computer, however I think what might be more important is to 
give the number for subscription information since I expect a number of 
individuals may have questions related to this whole area of information. the

Hello, Lori.

I think you'll be glad you did not give up on Dropbox.  It is one of
the most helpful apps on my iPhone.  For the most part, it is quite
VoiceOver-compatible, and the uses for it are many.  I use the Windows
interface as wel, and although some of its more sophisticated
operations can be tricky, transferring files to and from Dropbox is
quite manageable.

I can only answer as to what happened last season. At this point we do not 
exactly know what is going to happen in the upcoming season. Yes, last season 
if you bought at bat on your iDivice. You could connect that purchase to your 
game day audio on the MLB.com site. So yes, what I did last season was stop my 
subscribtion to mlb gameday audio & connected the accounts together which you 
would do in settings on the AtBat app. Hope that this answers your questions.

You can do this with iTunes for books not purchased in the iBooks store. Go to 
the books radio button in iTunes from your device in the sources list. check 
your sync settings. You should then be able to go to books in your iTunes 
library, then the books list on your device to verify that it has synced.

If it's from the iBook store, it's a more straightforward process. Books should 
sync between devices if purchased from the store.

Were you playing music or an audio book in the background? I noticed the other 
night when I was walking home from the pool that ‘the Seeing Eye app did not 
announce upcoming intersections while I was playing Audible. I started my route 
at the pool to go back to my house (about 2.5 Km/1.5 miles) and since it was 
9:30 at night and I live in a small town where I usually don’t encounter any 
people on this particular walk and not even a lot of cars, I put my iPhone into 
my jacket’s chest pocket after I started the route and after I then started my 
audio book playing.

 

The Seeing Eye app would tell my my turns, but not announce upcoming 
intersections. At first I didn’t even really notice, but then when I did I 
paused my book to check this and here it was telling me my intersections again. 
This is on an iPhone 5S.

When I installed the new SiriusXm app, I couldn't get it to work until I 
read their license agreement and hit the Agree button.  It will take a few 
minutes to download content assuming you have put in a valid username and 
password.

Quite easy if you search the list archives.  I've sent instructions about using 
SiriusXm on the iPhone a few times on the list, but don't have time right now 
to unearch what I sent.

 

In a nutshell:  the five buttons on the bottom can be labeled with the labeling 
utility in IOS 5 and above.  The left is categories, Channels, Favorites, 
On-Demand, Download, and if you flick to the next page with a three finger 
swipe left, you will see a sixth button on the right which is the Settings area 
for the SXM app.

 

If you select the channels button, put your rotor on Headings.  You can then 
navigate the different categories in that way (pop, rock, rap, country, 
christian, talk, sports, play-by-play, etc.)  Within each category you can 
flick right to go through the channels.  It doesn't show channel numbers, but 
it will show the last song that so you can tell what you want.  

 

Also, if you are listening to a channel, you can hit the More Actions button 
and open up MySxm which allows you to customize each channel.  You can then 
either listen to the live (broadcast) channel or choose MySxm.  Example: on the 
Sixties channel, you can customize the three sliders that vary your music: 
variety-to-more-popular; Rock-to-Motown; and slower-faster-tempo.

The channel numbers aren't indicated on the app.

The easiest way to navigate is to go to either the category button (lower 
left), or the channels button which is the next one to the right.  Know that 
certain channels are in certain categories: Pop which contains channels 2-17 
plus a couple internet-only chanels like Neil Diamond; rock, which starts at 
channel 19 with Elvis Radio and has Little Steven's Undergroound Garage 
Springsteen Jimmmy Buffet and goes through the metal channels (then, it has 
some internet-only channels like Theme-Time Radio, Tom Petty, Hall of Fame 
channel, etc.)  Same thing for a lot of the other categories such as the 
Country category starting with Willy's Roadhouse on channel 56 and also 
including Folk Village, Red White and Booze, etc.


If you go into the channels button, you can flick up and down with your 
rotor on headings to move from category to category.  Then, flick right 
within the category to see each channel.  It will show what is currently 
playing on that channel at the time you opened it or last refreshed.


If you go to the Sports area, there are headings for NBA, MLB, NHL and NFL. 
If you flick right through the particular category, you will see the 
different broadcasts labeled.  If a channel does not have a label on it with 
a score, it means there currently is no broadcast on that channel.  The 
channels are generally listed alphabetically, so if you want to hear the 
Chicago Blackhawks vs. the New York Rangers on February 27, the first 
listing will be the Chicago broadcast and the second one as you flick right 
would be the New York Rangers.

I'm still trying to figure this out myself, as I don't find a specific 
channel listing. I know that Sports Zone is Channel 92 and that 6, 7, and 8 
are 60s, 70s and 80s, but that's as far as it goes for me. I'd appreciate 
knowing more about this as well. I think that once you are tuned in, you can 
press the action button to get more info about the channel, and it often 
lists the channel number.

No. I believe he has purchased a book from another source and wants to open it 
and iBooks. This is what I believe you must do. Once you have the book you can 
open it and what ever app you want to. I believe that iBooks is a choice. If

Thanks for your help as well. I do know how to get to my dropbox folder on 
my desktop. It's just the rest I needed help with. Chris has given me some 
good instructionson how to use dropbox so I'm going to give it a try yet 
again. I'm not going to give up on this, I will eventually learn how to use 
dropbox. Like I told Chris, I've never used dropbox before until now. Take

Greetings. How would I import or open an Epub book in iBooks? I am

Regarding these play pause functions on headsets, I just got an email 
reviewing the new Jawbone ERA Slim. It claims to not only have 
play/pause but has prev/next as well. At least that is what the reviewer 
claimed in his write up. Just an FYI for anyone seeking those functions 
in a mono BT headset.

For what it's worth, I solved the issue. I reset the network settings
with no change. We finally called techn support for the Internet
service and solved the connection issue by turning Wifi off and then
on again. Then when I put in the password, everything worked perfectly
as before.

Hi.  To play udio Run you also need to use headphones and have voice-over off.  
You listen for the traffic and environmental sounds to completely go silent and 
the runner’s heart beat to be the only thing you hear.  Then you tap the 
screen. He either jumps to another roof top or falls off.

Were you playing music or an audio book in the background? I noticed the
other night when I was walking home from the pool that 'the Seeing Eye app
did not announce upcoming intersections while I was playing Audible. I
started my route at the pool to go back to my house (about 2.5 Km/1.5 miles)
and since it was 9:30 at night and I live in a small town where I usually
don't encounter any people on this particular walk and not even a lot of
cars, I put my iPhone into my jacket's chest pocket after I started the
route and after I then started my audio book playing.

 

The Seeing Eye app would tell my my turns, but not announce upcoming
intersections. At first I didn't even really notice, but then when I did I
paused my book to check this and here it was telling me my intersections
again. This is on an iPhone 5S.

Yesterday I was using Seeing Eye GPS and it would not announce approaching
intersections. i have it set to always announce intersections, but it was
not doing it. it announced POIs just fine, but not intersections. Has anyone
else had this issue?

Hi,
with Ear Monsers, you just touch on the screen where you hear the monster pop 
out.  For example, if you hear the monster on your right, touch the right side 
of the screen.  You have to have vo turned off, fyi.  And, of course, use head 
phones.
I haven't tried audio run yet.

Hello, Lori and Chris.

Chris gives very good advice.  Lori, you might be able to bypass the
sys tray actions by looking for Dropbox right on your desktop.  When I
installed Droppbox, it created a desktop icon.  If you Press
"Windows-D" to get to the desktop and then press the letter "D"
successively, you may indeed get to a Dropbox selection.  Jut press
, and you're in your root Dropbox folder.

How do you access the SiriusXM app? When I launch the app it asks for a user
name and password. If I put one in I get no user found. There is no other
buttons I can locate. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
