RE: iPhone seven rumors

2015-12-07 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Rob from the Today in iOS Podcast made a few good points in his latest episode
where he of course talked about this. Firstly, he mentioned that this rumour
has not surfaced for the first time, I think it did also come up 2 years ago.
Secondly, he mentioned that that the iPod Touch is almost 1 mm thinner than the
6S or 6S Plus and it still has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Well, I have said before and will say again that I think it is a stupid idea
to trade off one millimeter of thickness for the headphone jack. I do not want
an adapter. I do not want to pay for it, nor do I want to lose it, which is
almost inevitable. And then I would have to buy another one. I'm sure it won't
be a two dollar item. And there's just no reason for it. 1 mm? Come on. If it
were for some seriously good reason, OK. But 1 mm? This is just crazy.

RE: iPhone seven rumors

2015-12-07 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Alan,

Everybody has their preference, I'll take the wired Apple Earpods any day over
a Bluetooth headset or earpiece. I do use Bluetooth for certain situations, but
for every-day and all-day use I can't stand the lag of Bluetooth headsets. Yes,
I know you mentioned before yours doesn't lag, but they all do and whether it
bothers the user I think is in the way you use your phone.

I think too that with Bluetooth ear peaces and head sets, most people won't
want to be hampered by a cord. I know I certainly don't.

2015-12-07 Thread Jonathan Mosen
Hi Sieghard. But do you want to have to carry separate headphones for your
iDevices, and standard headphones for everything else. The 3.5 jack is a
functional, universal standard. All the other non-Appple devices you use are
not about to adopt the Lightning port. It's going to cause disastrous
fragmentation.

RE: In Sonos, the Trueplay settings button seems to be inaccessible

2015-12-07 Thread Jim Ruby
Yes voiceover interfears with how true play works. Wish they could enable it
though and one could use a headphone with it. Did not get to try that before
they disabled it when voiceover was running.

That is correct, I have been beta testing for Sonos for some years now and
TruePlay is not currently supported when Voiceover is running.

Hi,
I can confirm your experience. From what I'm told this is normal behavior for
now.
I've been told that they haven't figured how to get it to work properly without
VoiceOver interfering with it. So the app detects when VoiceOver is running and
the button for it is hidden.
If this isn't fully accurate or if there's been an update I'm sure others who
know more than do I will chime in and elaborate. I hope this helps.

Hello folks,
As you probably know, at least you who have Sonos, they recently introduced a
feature they call ”True play” which apparently is some kind of compensation for
the room in which your Sonos player is. This feature has a setting where you
set the Trueplay thingy up, only this feature isn’t accessible. I can not see
the button for it at all. It’s supposed to be under the room setting and EQ but
it isn’t accessible. This is on the iPhone in the Sonos app.
Could anyone confirm this or tell if there’s a workaround of some sort?

RE: iPhone seven rumors

2015-12-07 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
I am not familiar enough with the issues around hearing impairments and why
having a 3.5mm headphone jack is important although I am sure that if Jonathan
says it is then there are very good reasons.

Strictly from a headphone availability perspective one thing is almost certain
and that is that we'll see a ton of lightning cable headsets in a very short
time if Apple really goes ahead with this. The accessory market for Apple
products is just too big for all the major players not to jump onto this
bandwagon.

Sent from my iPhone hello, as you all may know you might have heard of some
rumors claiming that the next iPhone will not have a headphone jack. So,
this might not be a good thing for Apple to do this. But, reports are also
saying that they might use the lightning connector that you use to charge
the iPhone to use it as a headphone jack. But, that means that in order for
somebody's headphones to fit into that Jack, they will need to support a
lightning connector for the headphones. I don't know what the companies will
think about this change if it happens. Remember, if this rumor is true,
please email Apple and tell them not to do this. Also, people might think
that if there wasn't a headphone jack, we might still be able to use
Bluetooth. But, this might not be what somebody else lights. Having a
headphone jack is better. What will also happen to any Bluetooth speakers
that people own? These speakers might have a headphone jack connected to
them and might require that you plug it into the headphone jack in order to
use. I hope that Apple does not make this move because it might not do any
good for them. The iPhone sales might go down. We would not want that to
happen just because Apple made this change. Please remember, the iPhone 7 is
still in the making and these are just rumors. As long as we tell Apple what
we want, who knows, they might listen to us. But, we can't just keep quiet.
We need to try.

Thank you.

I'm not so happy with Docs. I got pretty tired of, when I press delete while
using a bluetooth keyboard, it always saying "selection deleted" and not what
actually was deleted. Forthermore, the selection control should be easier to
get to, as going all that way to do spell checking is tedious and totally
unnecessary.

RE: Apple Music is coming to Sonos on December 15

Subject: Apple Music is coming to Sonos on December 15

Hi Sonos fans,

Thought I post the below article from 9to5Mac.com about the soon forthcoming
addition of Apple Music to the already incredibly comprehensive list of
supported music services on Sonos:

http://9to5mac.com/2015/11/30/apple-music-sonos

Article text:

Apple Music streaming is coming to Sonos speakers on December 15th

Zac Hall - 6 days ago

Sonos users rejoice: Apple Music support now has a date, December 15th. Sonos
support for Apple Music fulfills a promise made by Apple in June to bring the
subscription service to the connected speakers by the end of the year. Opening
the Apple Music catalog for subscribers and free trial members brings a massive
collection of content to Sonos speakers.

If you’re looking to jump into the Sonos ecosystem, 9to5Toys recently
highlighted an excellent Play:1 Starter Set deal for $349, which includes two
Sonos Play:1 units (reg. $199 each). Sonos also offers a medium-packaged Play:3
($299) and a larger, all-new Play:5 ($499, previewed here).

The Sonos speakers already supported a huge library of streaming music services
including Beats Music and Spotify as well as DRM-free local music on iPhones
and Macs, but Apple Music has been unsupported. Trying to stream or playback a
song from the subscription music service serves up a DRM error message,
requiring line-in connections to work which eliminates wireless and multi-room
playback. Starting with a public beta in a couple weeks, Sonos users will be
able to stream anything from the Apple Music collection to single or multiple
connected speakers simultaneously.

Sonos support is also notable because it brings Apple Music closer to feature
parity with Beats Music, which it is based on and replaces. Apple already
delivered on its promise to bring Apple Music to Android, albeit in beta, as a
fall release.

Both moves show Apple is dedicated to bringing Apple Music to as many users as
possible, although it has no plans to support Windows Phone like Beats Music
did (for market-share reasons). Apple Music is also available on the fourth-gen
Apple TV with Siri support in the works on the new set-top box and subscribers
can download tracks locally to Apple Watch for wireless playback without
iPhones.

Sonos recently released Trueplay, a feature for fine-tuning Sonos wireless
speakers for their surroundings to offer the best sound for the room. Trueplay
works with both PLAY:5 speakers as well as all PLAY:1 and PLAY:3 speakers.

Sonos customers interested in trying Apple Music on December 15th ahead of its
general launch in 2016 can sign up here to participate. The release is timely
as Beats Music shuts down today. Because Sonos provides a Controller app to
manage streaming media sources from the cloud to its sources, the update will
not require an iOS update like 9.2 as it will work through the Sonos app and
not Apple’s Music app.

Well, I really do like James. I think he is the best male voice by far. And
also still really like Kendra. I am so sorry to see those voices going away.
But it is such a personal decision about which voices you like. So many like
Sharon. And I find her entirely too seductive. I think that was a word someone

Attaching pictures to an email in iOS 9.1

2015-12-07 Thread Wayne Merritt
Greetings. I need to send an email and attach two pictures to it. I
have written the text of the message on my Bluetooth keyboard, but
couldn't find a way to attach the file/pictures to the message. I have
saved the message in my drafts. I would like to put both pictures in
the same message rather than sending separate messages. How would I do
this?

Thanks,

I don't like her, either. Lol. She's too deep of a voice for my taste. This
deep female voice thing seems to be kind of common.

Hi,
I can confirm your experience.

Oh, God. You're right about voices being subjected. I can't stand Sally. She's
got the same inflection for every sentence l; and that inflection is so flat.
As for Julie, I like the way she reads, but her actual voice quality is too
breathy/high-pitched for my liking. She sounds sort of seductive to me, and I
don't like that. I'll check to see if you can still buy her.

Hi,

Thought I post a link to this article for those who use and like Songza. I
pasted the article’s text below followed by the link:

Google to shut down Songza on Jan. 31, migrate listeners to Google Play Music

By Roger Fingas

Wednesday, December 02, 2015, 02:19 pm PT (05:19 pm ET)

Google will officially shut off Songza at the end of January, leaving a
two-month window for listeners of the streaming service to migrate to Google
Play Music, according to an announcement.

The move is possible because Play Music has been upgraded with Songza's core
features, VentureBeat reported on Wednesday. Contextual playlists were added in
October last year, and free ad-based radio became an option in the U.S. this
past June. With the radio option available in Canada as of today, Songza's
former American and Canadian markets are now covered.

Accounts ported to Play Music should automatically carry over all playlists,
upvoted songs, and stations, the latter including recents and favorites. All
listeners are being notified of the changeover, but will have to opt in to a
Play Music account.

Songza's four co-founders will remain with Google, where they will help
integrate the music streamer's features to all 60 markets Play Music currently
operates in.

Google took over Songza in July 2014. At the time it promised that "no
immediate changes" were planned beyond improving the service.

Competition in the music streaming industry has greatly intensified during
2015. Tidal launched in April, followed by Apple Music in June. Last month,
Pandora acquired Rdio for $75 million.

See if it is listing the tracks alphabetically. If so, you will need to go into

Hi all,
on our iPad when playing albums using the music app to play music stored on the
Mac albums do not play in the order of the tracks.
I wondered if shuffle may be turned on. We have tried to tap the shuffle button
but this makes no difference . We used to be able to select the first album
track and the rest would follow. anybody got any ideas?
Thanks for any help as this is really annoying.

Re: Is there a way to add whole albums to a playlist?

2015-12-07 Thread Wayne Merritt
On the iPhone in Apple Music, once you have searched for an artist and
are looking at the list of albums, you can also do a flick up/down to
More, double tap, then swipe right until VO says, "Add to Playlist."
You can then double tap on the playlist you want and the entire album
will be added. This also works for adding single tracks. I've done
this a lot when adding things to my playlists and it is super
easy--perhaps too easy! You can also add the item(s) to your library
using the More item in the actions rodar. However, I discovered over
the weekend that if you do this, and then go and look in your library
at the recently added screen, it lists only the songs added and not
the albums.

You should be able to choose from the music browser an album you wish to
add to a list. Once you have selected it and stop interacting with the
music browser and move to the right to the table of songs and interact,
you can highlight all of the songs in the table with command+a. Check
the selection with command vo+f6 to make sure you have selected what you
want. Then call up contextual menu with vo+shift+m, and arrow down to
"add to playlist' item. You can expand this dialogue with right arrow
and arrow down to the name of your playlist. Press either vo+spacebar
on it or enter and the songs will be added to your playlist. If you
haven't created your playlist yet, after you select all your songs in
the table of songs, you can create "new playlist from selection" by
pressing command+shift+n, or else choosing this option from the
contextual menu. You will be presented with a dialog window where you
 can name your playlist.

2015-12-07 Thread Robin Frost
thank you for beta testing. We appreciate the advancements made therein due
to your work on the behalf of all of us (smile).
Here's hoping one day TruePlay will be accessible too. If there's a way to
make it so I've no doubt they will.

That is correct, I have been beta testing for Sonos for some years now and
TruePlay is not currently supported when Voiceover is running.

Hi,
I can confirm your experience. From what I'm told this is normal behavior
for now.
I've been told that they haven't figured how to get it to work properly
without VoiceOver interfering with it. So the app detects when VoiceOver is
running and the button for it is hidden.
If this isn't fully accurate or if there's been an update I'm sure others
who know more than do I will chime in and elaborate. I hope this helps.

Subject: In Sonos, the Trueplay settings button seems to be inaccessible

Hello folks,
As you probably know, at least you who have Sonos, they recently introduced
a feature they call ”True play” which apparently is some kind of
compensation for the room in which your Sonos player is. This feature has a
setting where you set the Trueplay thingy up, only this feature isn’t
accessible. I can not see the button for it at all. It’s supposed to be
under the room setting and EQ but it isn’t accessible. This is on the iPhone
in the Sonos app.

Could anyone confirm this or tell if there’s a workaround of some sort?

Re: Is there a way to add whole albums to a playlist?

2015-12-07 Thread Andrew Lamanche
You should be able to choose from the music browser an album you wish to add to
a list. Once you have selected it and stop interacting with the music browser
and move to the right to the table of songs and interact, you can highlight all
of the songs in the table with command+a. Check the selection with command
vo+f6 to make sure you have selected what you want. Then call up contextual
menu with vo+shift+m, and arrow down to "add to playlist' item. You can expand
this dialogue with right arrow and arrow down to the name of your playlist.
Press either vo+spacebar on it or enter and the songs will be added to your
playlist. If you haven't created your playlist yet, after you select all your
songs in the table of songs, you can create "new playlist from selection" by
pressing command+shift+n, or else choosing this option from the contextual
menu. You will be presented with a dialog window where you can name your
playlist.

Hope this helps

Re: Is there a way to add whole albums to a playlist?

2015-12-07 Thread Andrew Lamanche
Hi Gianni,

Yes, you can browse your music by various categories depending on your choice.
Once you choose to show your music with command+1 and check the box for "my
music" selection, go to view menu in the menu bar and arrow down it until you
hear "column browser submenu". Expand this with right arrow and you should see
first item here, "show column browser". This should result with a new table
called "music browser" appearing right to the left of the music table (if you
have your music appearing in a table rather than grid). You can then go back
to the view menu item, down to column browser submenu and after expanding it,
you will see various categories which you can include in the music browser.
You need to press enter on each one separately. You can have artists, albums,
genres, composers etc displayed in your music browser. This helps me find what
I'm looking for more quickly as i have thousands of songs. Music browser
requires some getting used to and I still sometimes get lost in it but it does
help a lot. Once in music browser, and if you choose albums to appear there,
in the albums column you can start typing the name of the albums to move more
quickly to them. For instance, I have quite a few albums of Chopin's music so
once in the music browser I focus on the album name column, I start typing
Chopin and the focus will move quickly to the albums beginning with ch.

Hope this helps

When you have named your playlist and double tap on the add songs button,
when you get to an album title you want to add, simply flick up with one

Double tap and that entire album is now added to the playlist.

Another very strange thing with my 6s running 9.1. When I was reading
an email from someone here and voice-over said thank you reading the
email, siri said "don't mention it." I have seen this happen before
but just thought to bring up. Short of turning off "hey Siri" is there
a way to stop Siri from answering voice over or something like a video

Re: In Sonos, the Trueplay settings button seems to be inaccessible

2015-12-07 Thread Robin Frost

Hi,
I can confirm your experience.

/Krister

RE: Apple Music is coming to Sonos on December 15

2015-12-07 Thread Merv Keck
Hi,

I can’t understand why Apple is going to Sonos and Android before introducing
their own service to Apple TV Third Generation. Not all of us are going to go
out and buy the fourth gen right away. In fact some of us are not planning to
buy it period as long as accessibility issues continue to exist. And there has
not been an update to the Third Generation Apple TV in a very long time.

I use Apple Music for hours a day on my PC and iPhone. Mostly my iPhone when I
walk five or six miles a day because it just does not drain the battery. And it
really does have a fantastic selection of music. However, I would still love to
see it show up on my Third Gen Apple TV.

Spell checking list messages [was "Re: Greyhound Bus App?"]

2015-12-07 Thread Christopher Chaltain
My approach is a bit different. If I have trouble reading a message
because it wasn't spell checked or written well then I just hit the
delete key and move on. I have plenty of messages to read. I can't
control whether someone spell checks their messages or not, but I can
control whether I spend time trying to understand it or not. If people
want to reach the widest audience then they'll spell check and proof
read their messages. If they don't then they're running the risk of
having people move on without reading their messages.

There are some who want to help others and point out that they make a
better impression if they spell check and proof read their messages
first. I doubt this is true in your case since you think it's
ridiculous. I've reached out to help some people myself, but I don't do
it on a public list. I'd suggest taking this coaching off line.

Finally, I'd never say anyone's post to a list is ridiculous. People
don't need to hear that from me.

Re: iPhone seven rumors

2015-12-07 Thread PHILLIP TRACY
Unfortunately, many will not care about needing the adapter and the extra cost
and all that. They'll just chalk it up to advancing technology, and for those
who feel that way, great! However, there are plenty of reasons to keep the
standard jack as is, go back and read Jonathan's blog entry posted a week or so
ago. For those who are hearing impaired on top of needing voiceover there are
real concerns here. Just take this thread back roughly a week or so and you'll
see exactly why.

Re: How to Insert a "Pause" or "Wait" Key on Your iPhone using VoiceOver

2015-12-07 Thread Richard Turner
Chip,
The short answer is by double tapping on the hide button.
When you have the keypad up in the phone app, and have "ialed a number, in the
lower right, there is a hide button to hide the keypad.
Once it is hidden, you will find options like mute, speaker, add call, etc.
If you have set up a number for getting into autamated systems, you will find
the dial x number in the lower left area.
I hope that helps,
Richard

Well, since Apple is supposedly so concerned about accessibility, I do hope
they take the needs of the hearing-impaired into account here. This lightning

Gianni,

Sorry for the mistake: to ascertain which items are highlighted, you press the
combination keys: vo+f6. I was rushing to respond to your message and got it
wrong.

Glad you are having some luck with this.

 Hi Gianni,

Yes, you can browse your music by various categories depending on your
choice. Once you choose to show your music with command+1 and check the
box for "my music" selection, go to view menu in the menu bar and arrow
down it until you hear "column browser submenu". Expand this with right
arrow and you should see first item here, "show column browser". This
should result with a new table called "music browser" appearing right to
the left of the music table (if you have your music appearing in a table
rather than grid). You can then go back to the view menu item, down to
column browser submenu and after expanding it, you will see various
categories which you can include in the music browser. You need to press
enter on each one separately. You can have artists, albums, genres,
composers etc displayed in your music browser. This helps me find what
I'm looking for more quickly as i have thousands of songs. Music browser
requires some getting used to and I still sometimes get lost in it but it
does help a lot. Once in music browser, and if you choose albums to
appear there, in the albums column you can start typing the name of the
albums to move more quickly to them. For instance, I have quite a few
albums of Chopin's music so once in the music browser I focus on the album
name column, I start typing Chopin and the focus will move quickly to the
 albums beginning with ch.

 Hope this helps

Hey Mary,

I hear your concerns, but we will not know what Apple has up it’s sleeve until
it is out. Apple has maybe thought of this and has figured out a solution. I
sure hope so, and I would hate to see people left out. We will just have to
wait and see what comes out. Heres to hoping.

How to Insert a "Pause" or "Wait" Key on Your iPhone using VoiceOver

When editing a phone number in contacts or when adding a new phone number, if
you want to set it up to dial an automated phone system you can enter pauses or
a wait command that will wait until you need to dial the next set of numbers.

1, enter the primary phone number.

2, you will find a shift key in the lower left corner of the keypad. Pressing
this will change the phone number layout to the following four lines:

Line 1: 1, 2, 3

Line 2: comma, 5, Semicolon

Line 3, Star, 8, Pound

Line 4, Shift, Plus, Delete

The comma will insert a pause.

the Semicolon will cause the dialer to wait until you issue a command.

If you know the series of numbers you will have to enter but aren't sure of the
wait time, use the Semicolon followed by the next series of numbers you know
you have to enter.

Say you want to call your bank and you have to enter a 10 digit account number
followed by the pound sign after an unknown length of time.

When you enter the number for that contact, enter something like:

Main number, semicolon, account number, Pound

To do this you would enter the main number, hit the shift key, then the
semicolon, then your account number, then hit the shift key again, and select
the pound symbol.

When you then have it dial that number, when the bank system starts talking,
you will have to hide the keyboard.

then, in the lower left corner of the iPhone screen you will find a button that
says "dial X pound, (where x is the numbers you entered after the semicolon of
course,) so you double tap that when it is ready to take the next set of
numbers.

This is probably better done with a braille display since you have to be able
to hear both the automated system and your iPhone, but it is doable.

HTH,

Richard

Using the Braille keyboard on the phone

2015-12-07 Thread 'Carol Pearson' via VIPhone
Hi all,
Can anyone, please, remind me how to produce a carriage return when using the
"apple Braille keyboard! In addition, is there a way to persuade the keyboard
you really would like to ensure your fingers are correctly placed before
starting? I find that message to place fingers on the screen to be somewhat
random ... and not to offer me the option when I'm particularly tired and can't
get my fingers to work correctly.

By the way, I do use mBraille, as you will no doubt realise from my signature
but sometimes, when writing a short message or a tweet, I prefer to stay in the
app in which ""I'm already working.

Thanks, as always, for any help on this!

Subject: iPhone seven rumors

Sent from my iPhone hello, as you all may know you might have heard of some
rumors claiming that the next iPhone will not have a headphone jack. So, this
might not be a good thing for Apple to do this. But, reports are also saying
that they might use the lightning connector that you use to charge the iPhone
to use it as a headphone jack. But, that means that in order for somebody's
headphones to fit into that Jack, they will need to support a lightning
connector for the headphones. I don't know what the companies will think about
this change if it happens. Remember, if this rumor is true, please email Apple
and tell them not to do this. Also, people might think that if there wasn't a
headphone jack, we might still be able to use Bluetooth. But, this might not be
what somebody else lights. Having a headphone jack is better. What will also
happen to any Bluetooth speakers that people own? These speakers might have a
headphone jack connected to them and might require that you plug it into the
headphone jack in order to use. I hope that Apple does not make this move
because it might not do any good for them. The iPhone sales might go down. We
would not want that to happen just because Apple made this change. Please
remember, the iPhone 7 is still in the making and these are just rumors. As
long as we tell Apple what we want, who knows, they might listen to us. But, we
can't just keep quiet. We need to try.

Thank you.

Google to shut down Songza on Jan. 31, migrate listeners to Google Play Music
By Roger Fingas
Wednesday, December 02, 2015, 02:19 pm PT (05:19 pm ET)

Google will officially shut off Songza at the
end of January, leaving a two-month window for
listeners of the streaming service to migrate
to Google Play Music, according to an announcement.
The move is possible because Play Music has
been upgraded with Songza's core features,
VentureBeat reported on Wednesday. Contextual
playlists were added in October last year, and
free ad-based radio became an option in the
U.S. this past June. With the radio option
available in Canada as of today, Songza's
former American and Canadian markets are now covered.
Accounts ported to Play Music should
automatically carry over all playlists, upvoted
songs, and stations, the latter including
recents and favorites. All listeners are being
notified of the changeover, but will have to opt in to a Play Music account.
Songza's four co-founders will remain with
Google, where they will help integrate the
music streamer's features to all 60 markets Play Music currently operates in.
Google took over Songza in July 2014. At the
time it promised that "no immediate changes"
were planned beyond improving the service.
Competition in the music streaming industry has
greatly intensified during 2015. Tidal launched
in April, followed by Apple Music in June. Last
month, Pandora acquired Rdio for $75 million.

Re: iPhone seven rumors

2015-12-07 Thread Mary Otten
Well, I have said before and will say again that I think it is a stupid idea
to trade off one millimeter of thickness for the headphone jack. I do not want
an adapter. I do not want to pay for it, nor do I want to lose it, which is
almost inevitable. And then I would have to buy another one. I'm sure it won't
be a two dollar item. And there's just no reason for it. 1 mm? Come on. If it
were for some seriously good reason, OK. But 1 mm? This is just crazy.

My eBook, "Apple TV 4th Generation with VoiceOver", is now available

2015-12-07 Thread Jonathan Mosen
Hi everyone, some list members have been asking about this one, and I'm pleased
to say that my latest eBook, "Apple TV 4th Generation with VoiceOVer", is here.
It's a comprehensive look at how to make the most of Apple's latest
entertainment power house.
There are two options for purchasing it. You can buy the book as a one-off, or
you can subscribe to free updates until December 2016, so you don't have to
repeatedly buy new editions. I've adopted this model for this particular book
as I anticipate significant software changes to Apple TV over the coming year.

Got my iPhone 5S

2015-12-07 Thread Portia Scott
Hello there all,

I got my iPhone 5S last Saturday. For those who are looking to get a new
iPhone, but can't afford the newest iPhones, Amazon has refurbished 5S's for
somewhat decent prices. I got mine for $314. But if you don't mind used, it is
even cheaper. The cool thing was, it came to me, already updated to IOS 9.0.2.
All I had to do was update to iOS 9 .1 on it. Dictation and Siri works
awesomely on it as well, just so you all know. And I have not seen any lag as
of yet. So far, I have only installed the Facebook app, and I plan to install
things like mango languages and other things that I use. So far, it works
awesome. Yes, I know it's older, but I am grateful, and I know it should last
me a good while. And I thought dictation would screw up this message like nuts,
but it didn't. In fact, I think the mistakes in the message when I dictate are
just me not enunciating my words properly. But I am slowly getting better at
that, even though I had a speech problem when I was younger. Who knew that
enunciating your words could make such a difference in your messages when you
dictate. LOL. It's funny how I found this out, but my friend Angela from Canada
told me that you have to enunciate your words and speak slower when you dictate
things using Siri. And dictation in general. I'm glad she told me this, as boy…
Was I horrible at enunciating my words. And I would have all my messages a
mess. Thanks to her. LOL. So I thought I would pass this tip along, for those
who are having trouble dictating with the newest iOS version and Siri. I know I
have seen a lot of questions about this, so thought this would be helpful.

The warrantee on Amazon for the iPhone 5S wasn't the greatest, it was rated to
stars out of five I believe. Or was it 3.5? I may have forgotten, but still.
That is not a very good rating. So I figured why bother, when the phones are
only about $300? It's just pointless. I try to look at things that are rated
higher than 3.5 stars if I can help it. Anyways, I know this is a long message
so I will end this for now. But I just wanted to let everyone know my
experiences so far with this phone. As I haven't had one of these before. I
have only owned an iPhone three GS, an iPhone 4S, and an iPhone 6 Plus.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the evening, and their week. God bless all.

Portia.

Re: iPhone seven rumors

2015-12-07 Thread Monica Jones
I don't like the idea; it's just another piece to keep up with. It's very
simple to keep the jack instead of this craziness. Believe me, I'm letting
Apple Know what I think of the idea.

I suspect this is going to happen, and I really don't see any problem with
buying an adapter for existing headphones to use to plug into the lightning
port.

Subject: iPhone seven rumors

Sent from my iPhone hello, as you all may know you might have heard of some
rumors claiming that the next iPhone will not have a headphone jack. So,
this might not be a good thing for Apple to do this.

Thank you.
