Would it be possible to reupload that podcast.

For some reason send space says that the file is no longer available.

Crazy!

Family sharing and Itunes gift card question, please help.

2016-04-21 Thread Mária Orovčíková

Hello list,
I am family sharing organizer and I have family sharing setup with two
people - so there are three of us - two people and myself.
I know how family sharing works when I have set it up with my credit
card, but how does it work in case the family sharing members get Itunes
gift card. Can they make purchases using Itunes gift card and not money
from my credit card without leaving family sharing group? If one of the
family sharing members redeems Itunes giftcard and the other one would
make purchases, will the payment go from their Itunes gift card or from
my credit card?

How do you check how much money you have left on Itunes gift card?
I hope my questions make sense.
Thank you very much for your help in advance.
Have a nice day.
With kind regards
Maria

Since you don’t have any home help, using a barcode scanner app sounds a

Re: Family sharing and Itunes gift card question, please help.

2016-04-21 Thread Chris Chaffin
If one of your family members gets an iTunes gift card and adds the credit to
their device, then all future purchases they make will automatically be
deducted from that iTunes gift card until it is all used up.
No other family member will be able to use the credit from the iTunes gift card
except for the person the gift card belongs too.

Hope this helps,

Chris

talking about recording, I just recently got into that myself. Just wanted

Re: Can totally blind person stream on YouTube?

2016-04-21 Thread Kathy Brandt
Hi Shane

I am talking about doing live audio and video streaming, like you do on
periscope or meerkat. There used to be an archiving service for these
platforms, which is going down. I know I can watch videos, and upload to
YouTube on my iPhone. I wanted to be able to record live, without the time
limitations that you have for typical iPhone uploads. That is where having the
verified channel comes in, which I have. Thanks; hope this clarifies.

Problem hearing VIO when using Square Reader

2016-04-21 Thread Danny Leung
Hi all,

Have anyone successfully using Square reader with a BT headset?

I was not able to hear VIO with my Plantronics Voyager Edge with iPhone 6S when
plugged in the Square reader. My phone is running the latest IOs.

I am not sure how to resolve the problem since no sound came out to my Edge.
Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks!

Blessing,
Danny

RE: Problem hearing VIO when using Square Reader

2016-04-21 Thread Karl Smith
This has been a continuing problem. For whatever reason when you plug something
in the headphone jack of the iPhone it takes the wired and blue tooth audio
away. I got a new blue tooth Square reader which takes the chip cards but
haven't had a chance to see if it will allow me to use VO as I usually don't
actually get to see the credit card. Do you use a Braille display? I found that
a blue tooth connected Braille display continues to work even though voice is
off.

Re: nearest station type app?

2016-04-21 Thread 'RobH.' via VIPhone
UK train times does most or all of that, though don't use it often enough to
remember it all. I set stations of interest remotely,
so it can be done with postcodes. It gives times, status and platform where
possible.
It didn't cost a lot, so worth a try, to me it is worth it despite maybe not
doing some of the things you said. I've not tried to
do some of the things you said! Wish the bus times app worked the same,
Travel-Line GB and Bus checker just aren't the same as the
now obsolete Bus Times we used to have.

Subject: Problem hearing VIO when using Square Reader

Thanks!

Blessing,
Danny

What about asking Siri for a listing of train stations and then getting the
directions. Also you might ask her how far away they are from you. I know that
sometimes she gives that information. Good luck to you, and I hope you find

2016-04-21 Thread 'RobH.' via VIPhone
A long shot, but would do what you just said. I didn't know it was needed that
way round, though can see the point,... Now.

If you have map coordinates, or just uK complete postcode, I still have a page
I wrote years ago, for distence and direction
calculations, and it holds,... only the first part of the postcode now I think
of it, so can cover quite large areas, if in
Scotland for example.

http://hoh.me.uk/geo

sample follows:-

>From WV11, to WV12:
>From - lat:52.62, Long:-2.07; To - Lat:52.61, Long:-2.04.
___
PAGE HEADLINE: Distance and Bearing:
1.44 Miles
2.31 Kilometers
1.25 Nautical Miles
Bearings: 118 degrees Great-Circle bearing, and 118 degrees Rhumb-Line bearing.
Reciprocal of Great-Circle bearing is 298 degrees.

end of Sample.

Ariadne and even the normal iPhone compass can give degree directions. Rhumb
line bearings are as shown on flat charts, Great
Circle is how ships and planes travel around the globe. I had to understand
this before grasping why a plane to the uS flew over
the scottish borders first.

Hth, BobH.

Ps: these pages are code minimised to use on iPhone while out and about
without burning off too much cell data.

if you want the closest one to you, then it is fine, but it is just about
useless if you are trying to do what I am, which is to try to find how far
away places are from there nearest stations before actually going there and
being on location, as it were.

Invisible Puzzle - anyone having trouble getting it to work?

2016-04-21 Thread Kramlinger, Keith G., M.D.
Hi,

I installed Invisible Puzzle to my iPhone 6 running iOS 9.3.1.

I can't get the thing to work with voice over on. The explore colomn says to
lift finger and explore. When I do that, I get the repeat announcement. If I
turn off voice over, the explore column works fine.

I get it to work fine on my daughter's iPhone 5 being used as an iPod.

I've cleared my app switcher, done a hard reset, uninstalled and reinstalled
the app and always get the same thing.

The company has been making efforts to understand this, but haven't been able
to reproduce thie behavior.

It's like the app won't recognize VO actions in the explore column, but VO does
announce on the left side of the screen where the instructions are.

Anybody have any ideas on what may be happening? The company is wondering if I
have an interfering app or setting, but as far as I can figure out, I don't. VO
and the phone work well in every other respect.

I did turn off the Ad blocker Purify, but that didn't do anything.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts,

Keith

Re: Sharing links on twitter via Safari extension

2016-04-21 Thread Christina C.
Yes, that makes sense. That is how I expected it to work but the links were nto
in my twitter posts, just the title showed up in my timeline. The weird thing
is that it’s working now. I wonder if Twitter and it’s URL handler or whatever
it’s called was down for a little bit or something. All I know is that it’s
working now just fine. :)

Re: Pairing Plantronics edge with watch

OK, so I figured out how to pair my phone with my Plantronics ads. I also
figured out how to pair my watch with my Plantronics at. However, when one gets
paired the other one gets turned off. Is there a way to have both of them
tiered at the same time? That is what I've been trying to do. Thanks in advance
for any help.

Question on data usage.

2016-04-21 Thread Pinky
I am getting a new 6splus and was going to get my service from Consumer
Cellular and was going to get 1.5 GB of data. I was wondering if you stream
a radio station how much data does that use roughly or would that use up the
1.5 GB of data real fast? Any idea's on this would be appreciated.

Just let everyone know I am getting 250 of talk time, unlimited text, and
1.5 GB of data for around 33 bucks without tax with a AARP discount. If you
have not checked out Consumer Cellular they have really cheap rates and you
can choose how much Talk time, text and data you want. You can either call
them on their 800 number or go to their web site which is
ConsumerCellular.com.

According to what I've read, if it is a high quality stream, you might use 1 GB
in 8 hours. The only way to know for sure, is to reset your count, stream
something for an hour. Turn it off and wait a while, then check the data usage
in the iPhone settings.

Hi Ricard,

Well at that rate it would eat up a lot of data. I was thinking of using my
iPhone to listen to a Christian radio station when I walk with my guide. So at
that rate of usage That would only allow me to use it for 12 hours a month. So
can you give me more info an where I go to keep track of the usage?

Pair Braille Sense U2 with iPhone

2016-04-21 Thread Abdullah Ibrahim Olivares
Hello,

Someone asked me to check into this. He is having trouble pairing his Braille
Sense U2 with his iPhone 5S. When he tries to pair it, nothing happens. He
tries to use the Braille Sense, but nothing happens on the phone.

Does anyone have an idea of what might need to be done to fix this? Is there a
particular setting to change, or something else to try?

Thanks,
Abdullah

Go to settings, cellular, and look for the heading called, Cellular Data Usage.

RE: Pair Braille Sense U2 with iPhone

2016-04-21 Thread Tracy Smith
Hello Abdullah

Your friend needs to go into Settings, Accessibility, VoiceOver, and go to
Braille devices. I can't remember the exact route, as I don't have an iPhone
anymore, but it should be right. Then from there you can search for and pair
with the display, and it will work just fine.

Re: Question on data usage.

2016-04-21 Thread Kathy Brandt
You will eat up more data if you haven't changed the default LTE setting so
that it just gets 4g. You go in settings, cellular, and then believe it or not,
in roaming, where you turn LTE off.
