RE: Apple airpods pro

2020-11-14 Thread Simon A Fogarty
If you open the charging box when you go to pair them,
Under Bluetooth you will get a message pop up,
Saying something like press the button and hold it to connect,
This is a little finger tip sized button on the back of the charging box / case,
Hold this button until you get the message on screen to say the pods are
paired.

As for pairing with multiple devices,

If they are all apple devices and are logged in to using the same apple id as
your phone is that you paired thepods to,

Then your pods will be paired with those devices automatically.

If you wish to pair with other non apple products then you will need to do that
manually.

Hope this quick note helps.

Hello folks,
I ordered apple airpods pro from Amazon. They are on sale for 194 dollars, 55
dollars lower than their original price. I will be receiving them tomorrow.
Do you have any tips on how to pair them with my iPhone? Can i pair them with
more than one device at the same time? Any tips on the right gestures of use.
I appreciate any tips.

Also, if you bring them up under the Bluetooth settings, you can change the
behavior of the stems. For example I have my left switch between the audio
modes, and the right one I have invoking Siri.

Enjoy them ..

Hi Chris,

All you have to do is make sure your phone is unlocked, then open the lid of
the case, then wait for VoiceOver to ask you if you want to connect. It is a
pretty easy process. Once they are paired to your phone, they should work with
all of your devices signed into your iCloud account.

As for gestures, the Airpods have tiny little sticks if you will that hang down
by your ear coming sort of close to your mouth. You squeeze on these things to
do what you want them to do. One squeeze is to start music and answer and hang
up calls and the sort. If you double squeeze, you will fast forward the music.
If you squeeze and hold it for a second, it changes it from noise canceling to
transparency mode.
These are a few things that will get you started.

Have a great day!

Jenn

Hello folks,
I ordered apple airpods pro from Amazon. They are on sale for 194 dollars, 55
dollars lower than their original price. I will be receiving them tomorrow.
Do you have any tips on how to pair them with my iPhone? Can i pair them with
more than one device at the same time? Any tips on the right gestures of use.
I appreciate any tips.

Question regarding Facebook app and how I go live

2020-11-14 Thread Beth G
Hello all,

I rarely post on Facebook these days, and I’ve just now discovered that when I
try to go live which I have to do for a Facebook group I am in, I no longer see
an option to update my status. From what I understand, if I select updating my
status I can then choose to go live or not from there. Can someone tell me how
to post on Facebook and how to go live?

Thank you advance!

Type enough of his old address into the to field to have it come up when you

Subject: no voiceover

I just finished helping a friend set up his new iPhone SE 2020 using quick
start. This entire time voiceover was just fine. When it said it was completed
and rebooted we heard the voiceover clicks but no speech. These are the things
we tried:
3 finger double tap
2 finger flick down from top to bottom while pressing the volume up button
shutting the phone off, waiting then turning it back on triple clicking the
home button when siri was asked to turn on voiceover she said it was already on.

have we left anything out?

Iphone and security cameras or doorbells

2020-11-14 Thread Tessa
Hi,
I'm just wondering if anyone knows of an outdoor security camera or doorbell
with camera that works well with the iphone?
I had a chance to try my parent's ring version but found many of the buttons
weren't spoken with voice over.
Thanks for any suggestions
Tessa

RE: Transferring ringtones from windows7 computer to iPhone

2020-11-14 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Absolutely true, everybody decides how they want to do something, but I am just
saying that if pretty much all you want to do is to transfer ringtones to your
phone then iTunes will do this and it is not a very difficult task.
As for iTunes not transferring ringtones, I have not experienced this before.
But I also admit that I'm not crazy about ringtones to the point where I have
hundreds on my phone, I made a few from songs I like using iTunes and I maybe
have 10 or 20 short tones for things like texts, emails and other notifications
which I found over the years and like.

In my experience Waltr2 has transferred tones to iPhones that iTunes has failed
to transfer.

Also, assuming it is legal for you to do so, Waltr2 will allow you to transfer
tones to friend’s iPhones without the complications that iTunes impose.

It’s all about personal choice and what may suit one person may not be suitable
for others.

Right, I forgot about this, not sure, however, if iTunes is on the machine but
it crashes if Waltr2 would work or not. But I am with you Richard, I'd rather
not spend money for something which one should be able to fix by uninstalling

Re: Searching in the Instacart App

2020-11-14 Thread Caitlyn Furness
After you select the store you want by double tapping on the store name, the
search function is there, a few swipes to the right. Double tap on the search
and the edit box will pop up for you to either dictate your search or type it
in.

Sounds possibly that the voiceover volume is down,

There is I believe a volume option in the rota for voiceover,

Is it possible your friend has headphones they could plug in and try to see
what happens

I just finished helping a friend set up his new iPhone SE 2020 using quick
start. This entire time voiceover was just fine. When it said it was completed
and rebooted we heard the voiceover clicks but no speech. These are the things
we tried:

  3 finger double tap

2 finger flick down from top to bottom while pressing the volume up button

shutting the phone off, waiting then turning it back on

  triple clicking the home button

when siri was asked to turn on voiceover she said it was already on.

  have we left anything out?
