Are you kidding me I'd love that! Seriously I'd love that! Have you ever
experienced a blood pressure cuff that squeezed again before it had even
completely let up because there was an error like you had it too low on
your arm or something? That's happened to me numerous times, but the
last time it did that, it squeezed so hard and it seemed to take a long
time before it stopped, and I don't think it's considered claustrophobia
because when you're claustrophobic, you feel scared in a confined space,
but I felt like I would never get my arm out ever again. I got so scared
my mom had to come over and press on the power button I guess it is, so
the air would go out and the cuff would let up. If there would be an
app, that would be fantastic! Please, let me know! Thanks.

Hello, all:

Is there an app I can use with an IPhone that would help check blood

as accurate as my primary care doctor's whose monitor doesn't speak
audibly. This is quite frustrating since my blood pressure can fluctuate.

The other question is would I need to purchase an Apple watch or just
use some type of app strictly with the phone?  Thanks in advance.

More or less the same sentiments here. I will add that they do offer titles
that are pretty obscure and that you’re not likely to find in recorded format
anywhere else. The app itself had gotten better, but it’s in general just meh…
I too would not pay for the service now, but being grandfathered in, I do still
use it from time to time.

At the risk of going too deep into thread creep, I would only use Learning Ally
as a very last resort because their readers are poor to terrible for the most
part. IN college, 50 years ago, I had to use them exclusively for audio books
because in the day, they were the only source for text books. I was reading a
book for my Freshman Fiction class, Sons and Lovers by D. H. Lawrence. The
book started out with a fabulous British reader! I swear, in mid paragraph,
but it was probably at a page break, a woman with a very, very strong southern
US accent took over. I had to jump up and stop the player, which BTW was a
real-to-real player and calm my outrage. I won’t repeat what I likely said …

There were at least 6 other readers before finishing the book.

But, without them, I would not have been able to get through college, so I am
grateful. I am also grateful they Grandfathered those of us into the Learning
Ally from Recordings for the Blind because I absolutely wouldn’t pay for the
service even if that was the only source for a book. I’d scan the book myself
first.

OK, back to focusing on BARD, 

I only use Learning Ally when I can't find something somewhere else. There app
is terrible. It doesn’t use the magic tap to start and stop playback, you can't
increase the speed without going into several screen levels deep, and the thing
that's the search says magnifying glass. It's definitely usable and accessible,
but not efficient or nice.

I particularly like the idea of being able to download directly from the search

The improved search results will also be welcome.

Carolyn, I don't use hearing aids, but I've had this issue with VO being
at a very low volume during a phone call.  What I've started doing is
pressing the side button three times to turn VO off once the call is
picked up at the other end, and then immediately press it three times to
restart VO.  Usually VO will come back on at whatever volume I had it
set to when I made the phone call.  It's faster than trying to find the
rotor and not being able to hear VO.

Hope this helps.

I just called our time and temperature, but I could not hear the rotor so that

Caroline, that is of course a good thing, but if this is because a setting on
your phone it is nothing to be addressed by Apple because then it is not a bug
but because of something on your phone.
Unless several others can confirm that this is an issue it may not be a bug.

Have you tried to simply turn the rotor to volume and then flick up to raise
Voiceover volume. I have a feeling that your problem is simply that Voiceover
volume has gotten turned very low.

Hi,
I’m curious what your hearing aids are configured as under Bluetooth settings
on your iPhone. I know the behavior of speakers and headphones change if a
speaker is set to headphones via its configuration so thought I would bring
that up. You can go to iPhone settings, Bluetooth settings, find your hearing
aids and swipe up to find more info double tap, and then choose device type. I
would try to set them as headphones, if not other and see if that changes
anything. If anything, play with the different settings.

So, that is exactly what I did, only when bringing it up, no Voiceover.
Jim tried to help me, but we were in a mess. I called Apple Accessibility and
got a magically helpful lady named Angela. With her thinking out of the box, we
finally got it back; I had to tell Jim what to punch in for my passcode. Then,
VOILA, along came Voiceover. It happened that I had Screen Curtain on, so I
turned it off, and Jim could see that it looked all right. So I had to punch my
24-character Apple ID, finally got it back.

She got us to press Power Button and Volume Down to try to get it back
on. That did work. Actually, then, we waited quite a long time, before bringing
the phone back up. I think she realized that probably my phone was on, but that
I did not know it, so turn off, then give good wait, and bring it up again. I
don’t know what would have happened if Jim hadn’t been here and willing to fool
with it.

Kudos to Apple for the implementation of the startup and shutdown sounds. I

I agree. I would very much like to have my bard books be able to transfer from
my iPhone 8 to my iPhone 13 pro max. The only reason why I'm keeping my iPhone
8 is because of all the bard books on it.
Once I can get my bard books moved to my newer phone, I'll see if I can sell my
iPhone 8. However, who knows how long it will be before we can get our bard
books on different devices. I'm glad we are getting bard mobile 2.0. This
seems like a step in the wright direction.

RE: My update woe for today.

2022-09-16 Thread Carolyn
I don't know anything to do in settings about it. I will try the rotor, but
anything in the past I've tried, even while phone ringing, only turns up the
volume for the phone call, and of course, some with the screen, but I can't
hear it for the phone call. This problem has been discussed on the Blind
Hearing Aid Users' List; I am not the only person having the problem.

I just called our time and temperature, but I could not hear the rotor so that
I could get volume up. It is clearly a problem, but if there is a way I can fix
it, I'd be glad to. I might give Apple Accessibility a call on it.

don’t know what would have happened if Jim hadn’t been here and willing to fool
with it.

I told her that the Voiceover sound not being easily heard had been a
problem for some time, which was the reason that I turned my phone off. It is
working now, even Evan came back. I’ve heard some say that their phone
defaulted to Samantha.

Incidentally, while in this pickle, I called the phone from our
landline. It rang, but, I could not answer it.

I have just tried with earbuds with Bluetooth off, and stil have to
struggle to hear anything on the screen while on a call.

Hi list,

After I upgraded to iOS 16.0, my iPhone screen gets locked too quickly, even
when it is on, let me put it like that, read all mode. Fore example, if I am
reading a Facebook post, screen gets locked before Voiceover has finished
reading.

Before the upgrade, screen would get locked according to the time set, only
when the iPhone was not active.

I am using iPhone 12 Pro Max.

With best wishes,

Gezim

RE: Smart switches

Subject: RE: Smart switches

Another thing to keep in mind is that if you have a light fixture which has 3
or 4 bulbs then you need that many smart bulbs and that can get expensive in a
hurry considering you would pay $20 or $30 US (more in Canada) for each smart
bulb. A single smart switch here is more economical and as I said, if it is
strictly yourself or your family if they are onboard with this it is one thing,
but it's a pain in the butt if visitors turn your switches off in places like
hallways or public rooms because then your smart bulbs are useless until the
switch is turned on again. And if you plug a regular table lamp or floor
standing lamp into a smnart outlet it's the same thing, somebody turns off the
switch on the lamp and your smart outlet can no longer turn the lamp on or off
until you turn it back on and off with the voice command.
Lastly, Amazon smart plugs may be nice and relatively inexpensive, but in a new
home you really want to try and decide on a system where you can get everything
from one manufacturer, e.g. smart switches, smart wall outlets and so on.
Otherwise you end up with a patchwork of smart devices and while you may be
able to control them all with Alexa or Google you may still need several apps
from the various makes to set them up properly before that all happens.

Hi Amy, I would suggest not changing to smart switches, but instead, change to
smart lights. Then, you could use your smart speaker or your phone to control
all of the lights. If you have table, lamps or lamps that plug in, the.

Amazon has smart plugs which are pretty cheap around Black Friday for maybe
five dollars and you can plug a device into it and use the same spark smart
speaker to turn it on and off. Sent from my iPhone

Hello, all:

Is there an app I can use with an IPhone that would help check blood
pressure. I found two talking blood pressure machines which were not as
accurate as my primary care doctor's whose monitor doesn't speak audibly. This
is quite frustrating since my blood pressure can fluctuate.

The other question is would I need to purchase an Apple watch or just
use some type of app strictly with the phone? Thanks in advance.

Hello all,
To any of you have experience with installing smart switches into your homes? I
have a new home and want to be able to control all lights in my home with a
smart speaker or by iPhone via an app. Suggestions would be greatly
appreciated. I am trying to determine if there is a brand of switch that works
best, and if so, how you control the lights. I have quite a number of lights in
my home. Thanks.

RE: Screen locks too quickly after upgrade

2022-09-16 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I saw this as well, so as someone else also suggested, I went into Settings ->
Display and changed my auto lock time and then changed it back, and it's
working now. The time I can spend on my lock screen before the display shuts
down seems shorter though. Is there any way to set this? Now that I have some
widgets on my lock screen, I'd like to keep it up a bit longer.

Subject: Screen locks too quickly after upgrade

With best wishes,
Gezim

Apple Music Help Please.

2022-09-16 Thread janet gross
Hi Everyone,
Since I updated my XR phone to iOS 15.7 a couple of days ago, I can't find any
of my 12 play lists that I created some years ago, and listen to everyday. The
only options I get when I am in the music app, browse, play, search, library,
and I tap on library as I usually did in order to come out of a search that I
might have been in looking for an album or a song, in order to go back to my
play lists. Now, I just can't find any of my play lists though, and I've
worked on this for 2 days, but still no go. Matter of fact, I also keep
seeing the searches I've done some months ago, and I just can't get out of
that! I've done a reboot but still no go.

Thank you all in advance for any suggestions.

Janet

But, after the doctor set it up, I haven’t had to change it other than to try a
slightly different airflow or humidity, and my sighted wife, who has the same
machine, could do that.

My impression is they are all like this now.

Oh, if you have a huge volume of books on your old phone, I can see why
you would like to do an easy transfer. I am not tech savvy so I don't know why
BARD books can't be backupped then transferred to a new phone using I Tunes.
Does it have to do with their formatting? It would take a very long time to
transfer an entire library, wouldn't it?
libray down
As for me, since BARD has a record of all the books "previously downloaded" I
don't fret about it. I don't need to have them all sitting on any given phone.
Luckily BARD downloads don't take that long.

I agree. I would very much like to have my bard books be able to
transfer from my iPhone 8 to my iPhone 13 pro max. The only reason
why I'm keeping my iPhone 8 is because of all the bard books on it.
Once I can get my bard books moved to my newer phone, I'll see if I
can sell my iPhone 8. However, who knows how long it will be before
we can get our bard books on different devices. I'm glad we are
getting bard mobile 2.0. This seems like a step in the wright

You guessed it, the problem for voiceover users has NOT been fixed!

RE: Major problem after updating to 16

But if your bank has to update the app to work properly with Voiceover you have
to at least let them know because otherwise they won't do it.

Hello Davie, and list,

I actually wasn't blaming anyone in particular. All I was trying to figure out,
is what I might do to fix the issue. I could use the App just fine before I did
the update. So this whole thing is frustrating for me.

However, I wasn't blaming anyone. That isn't usually the way I operate.

Thank you,

don’t know what would have happened if Jim hadn’t been here and willing to fool

Such are some of the vagaries of iOS 16.

2022-09-16 Thread Lynn Schneider
Yes, this is quite annoying for sure. I have submitted feedback to YouTube on
this problem, and I hope others will do the same. There is supposedly a
workaround where, when you open the app for the first time, you turn, voiceover
off, and then swipe down with your finger and then re-enable voiceover. This
works unreliably for me. Also, it is very difficult to edit comments. My only
other suggestion is that you leave feedback to YouTube letting them know that
this is a problem for you as a blind person. Good luck.

RE: Smart switches

2022-09-16 Thread Sieghard Weitzel

RE: Smart switches

2022-09-16 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
There are two things you can do: you can either get actual smart wall switches
installed or you can replace all your bulbs with Philips Hue smart bulbs.
The problem with using Philips Hue is that the traditional light switch has to
be switched on, then you can ask Alex, Google or SIRI (Hue supports all of
them) to turn off specific lights, rooms or groups (that of course depends on
your setup and naming of the bulbs and rooms). If you have somebody visiting
who doesn't know how this all works and is willing to also use the voice
commands, chances are they walk into a room and want to turn on the light, of
course the switch is on but the light is off so first they switch the light
off, nothing happens so it is my experience people then push/flick the switch
again and most likely now the light comes on and they are happy. Then they
leave a room or maybe if they are considerate and know that you can't see the
lights they turn off all the lights when they leave and at that point you tell
Alexa to turn on a light but of course it won't work because the switch is off
and there is no power to the smart biulb.

So, going back to smart switches. That is what I would do now, when we got all
our Philips Hue bulbs many years ago these in-wall decora style smart switches
which look like a regular light switch didn't really exist yet. Now they do and
when I did my retail store renovation 2 years ago that is what I put in. The
ones I used are from Leviton and here a sighted person can push them as always,
but you can also control them with Google or Alexa or through various home
automation apps. I am not entirely sure if they support Apple Home Kit or this
new "Matter" standard which is supposed to be coming and supported by almost
everybody.
You can get Leviton smart switches which work via Wi-Fi or you can get a
version which uses the Zigbee wireless protocol to communicate with a hub, in
my case those are the ones we have because this way they integrate with our
alarm panel and app which is Alarm.com.
Lutron also makes a huge selection of smart switches in their Caséta Wireless
selection and here you can also have control for shades and so on. I think
Lutron might be more expensive.
I recently read about some other company which makes a very budget oriented
smart wall switch, but I can't remember the name so you just have to do your
homework.

I am actually thinking of slowly replacing all our in-wall decora style paddle
switches with most likely the Leviton ones since those at my store work well
despite the fact we have Philips Hue bulbs in most of our lights and in the
bathroom I have an actual Hue light fixture, they also do make a lot of stuff.
But we run into this all the time when somebody is visiting then we run around
the house afterwards and turn all the switches back on so we can use Alexa or
the home app to turn them off and have control again. That is why in a new
installation in-wall smart switches is in my opinion the way to go and you can
also add a few smart wall outlets if you think you have things you want to plug
in where you want remote/voice control over whatever appliance is plugged into
that wall socket. You can also get wall sockets which have USB outlets next to
them. If you want coloured lights you could still get a few Philips Hue bulbs
capable of colours.

However, I wasn't blaming anyone. That isn't usually the way I operate.

Onderwerp: Major problem after updating to 16

Hello everyone,

I updated my iPhone 12 Mini yesterday, to IOS 16. It all went very smoothly for
me, which I am very thankful for. I haven't really ran into any problems.
Such as, the different bugs I have read about.

However, I just discovered a huge problem, and I don't know if there is
anything I can do about it.

My banking App is now not as accessible. I can see my accounts, and what money
is available.

However, when I go into an account to view the transactions, I get a lot of
different images, and words such as coupon, and other words. None of it makes
much sense, in all honesty.

I tried turning on screen recognition to see if this would make much of a
difference. I could then see some of the transactions. But this didn't seem to
happen consistently. Also, everything kind of seem ran together.

There are tabs at the bottom of the screen. I can still view these.

However, when I choose one, then all the buttons are images, and words again.
This was nether the case before.

What can I do, if anything?

I will definitely reach out to Apple. As well as my bank.

But might anyone have any thoughts as to how I can possibly use the App, until
it is back closer to the way it was?

This is rather frustrating. But even more, this is an App that I most
definitely need to be able to use, with as much ease as possible.

Thank you,

Terri

RE: How useful to blind users is the Lidar sensor?

2022-09-16 Thread Richard Turner
Here is an article from How To Geek prior to the release of the iPhone 12 Pro
and Pro max, the first models to have LIDAR.

What Is LiDAR?
A LiDAR scanner determines the distance between itself and an object by
monitoring how long it takes a pulse of light (often a laser) to bounce back.
It’s like radar, except instead of radio waves, it uses infrared light.

While radar is designed to be used across great distances, LiDAR works on a
smaller scale, due to the way light is absorbed by objects in its path. By
sending hundreds of thousands of light pulses every second, LiDAR scanners can
work out distances and object sizes with relative accuracy over small distances.

A living room with furniture outlined by dots, showing what the iPhone LIDAR
scanner sees.

This data can then be used to construct 3D models, which is one of the main
uses for LiDAR in construction and engineering projects. You’ve likely heard of
3D laser scans being used to draw up building plans—that’s LiDAR.

LiDAR actually has many uses across many industries. Archaeologists use it to
prepare dig sites and autonomous vehicles rely on it to construct real-time 3D
maps of their surroundings. LiDAR has even been used to create highly realistic
and accurate maps of race tracks in video games, like Project CARS. Police
speed guns also use LiDAR.

And now, just like the iPad Pro in March 2020, a LiDAR scanner has come to
Apple’s premium iPhone 12 Pro.

How the iPhone 12 Pro Uses LiDAR
Apple uses LiDAR a bit differently than a construction site or speed gun. It’s
the same basic principle—bouncing light to determine distance—but on a smaller
scale. The LiDAR scanner in the iPhone 12 Pro (and iPad Pro) has an effective
range of around 16 feet (5 meters).

The primary purpose of LiDAR in the iPhone is to improve augmented reality (AR)
implementation. It will give apps more useful and accurate information about
their surroundings, for smoother, more reliable AR.

If you’re unfamiliar with the technology, AR allows developers to fuse virtual
objects and the real world. It uses your device’s camera and allows you to play
games, apply interactive filters (like those on Snapchat), or preview the
placement of furniture and other objects.

Pokémon Go is one example of a successful AR game that allows you to capture
virtual creatures in the real world. With Ikea’s wildly successful Place app,
you can see how most of the company’s catalog would look in your home.

LEGO is one of many companies that has also launched stand-alone products (in
this case, building sets) that can “come alive” via AR features when you have a
compatible smartphone.

While LiDAR is often used to scan buildings and other objects, the scanner on
the iPhone 12 Pro and iPad Pro isn’t accurate enough to scan objects precisely.
Sebastiaan de With, who developed the popular iPhone camera app Halide,
discovered this while building a proof of concept called Esper.

“Unfortunately, the mesh output by the system right now isn’t accurate enough
to send to a 3D printer,” de With wrote on the Halide website. “But it’s a
great starting point for a 3D model, since all the proportions will be very
accurate.”

In reality, LiDAR scanners are likely to improve on two main things: virtual
object placement (like shopping apps) and AR gaming. These are already possible
on non-LiDAR iPhones, but it adds an extra layer of accuracy to things like
dimensions and the precise distance to an object in a room.

You can also expect a more seamless AR experience, particularly when placing
virtual items in the real world. For example, the iPhone 12 Pro should be
better able to identify real-world items in the foreground. This should make
for more realistic interactions between virtual and real objects.

Virtual toys, characters, and scenery in a living room AR Experience on iPad
Pro.

Apple also intends to use LiDAR to improve camera performance in low light.
It’s implemented “focus pixels” in the iPhone XS, which is the company’s brand
of phase-detect autofocus (PDAF). This technology still depends on light, which
is why even the latest autofocus advancements don’t work all that well in the
dark.

By sensing the distance between your iPhone and the subject you’re taking a
picture of, Apple can tell the camera at what distance it should focus to get
the best results. This should make it much easier to take better photos with
your iPhone in the dark, especially when combined with Night mode.

Will LiDAR Become a Big Deal?
Presently, only two Apple devices have a sensor. Both are also priced at a
premium and feature the “Pro” moniker, so LiDAR is a niche feature for now.
However, that doesn’t mean software will be slow to catch on. Apple’s
exhaustive list of software development kits (SDKs) includes ARKit, which was
updated to version 4.0 in June 2020.

This update rolled out new features that leverage LiDAR into ARKit, allowing
developers to take advantage of the

I have an iPhone 10r and I’ve noticed the following when listening to music on
the iPhone.

If the screen is locked, and I pause the song, before, I could swipe down to
adjust the track position to 0 seconds to back to the beginning of the song.

With I O S 16, you can no longer scroll down to adjust the track position, when
the song is paused.

Does anyone know of a workaround?

for example, I enter an apointment in the calendar, and the day before, at a

If I haven't exxplained things too well, accept my apologies.

Announcing BARD Mobile for iOS 2.0

We're excited to tell you that NLS has released version 2.0 of BARD Mobile for
iOS. In this version, the BARD Website option is replaced by a new and powerful
search engine that has the following abilities:

" Search by keyword, title, author, or annotation.

" Search for either braille or audio content.

" Use the Keyword search to search for narrators.

" Search for items in the Music collection, including music
appreciation and instructional materials as well as music scores.

" Access all the options available from books in your wish list,
Recently Added Books, etc., such as downloading directly from the search
results page and viewing all the books by the same author or in the same series.

" Enter an author's or narrator's name in any format and without
quotation marks and get reliable results.

" Enter words from a title without quotation marks and get reliable
results.

" Enter multiple types of information in a Keyword search, such as
part of a title and an author's last name or a title and narrator's name, and
get reliable results.

" Change the type of search after you conduct the original search.

" Sort search results by title, author, or latest (the publication
date).

To conduct a search, choose the Search option at the top of the Get Books
screen, just above Wish List. Keyword is the default search type, and Audio is
the default format. Change these settings if you like, type or dictate search
terms in the search field, and choose Go or Search. To change the format or
type of search from the Search Results page, select the search field at the
top; all the options on the original search page are now available. To sort the
search results, choose Title, Author, or Latest. To access options such as
Download and viewing other books by the same author with VoiceOver, touch the
title of interest, flick up or down to the desired choice, and double-tap. If
you don't use VoiceOver, select the More info button to the right of the title,
and then choose either Download, Add to Wish List, or More Actions.

Additionally, Version 2.0 fixes problems with:

" Rewind controls skipping further than intended.

" Side loading books.

" Downloading and reading non-ASCII foreign language book titles.

The update should be available by Friday, September 23rd. We hope you enjoy it.

Hi,
I’m curious what your hearing aids are configured as under Bluetooth settings
on your iPhone.

don’t know what would have happened if Jim hadn’t been here and willing to fool

Such are some of the vagaries of iOS 16.

pressure. I found two talking blood pressure machines which were not as
accurate as my primary care doctor’s whose monitor doesn’t speak audibly. This
is quite frustrating since my blood pressure can fluctuate.

The other question is would I need to purchase an Apple watch or just
use some type of app strictly with the phone? Thanks in advance.

Louise

RE: BARD 2.0 is coming soon!

2022-09-16 Thread Richard Turner

RE: How useful to blind users is the Lidar sensor?

2022-09-16 Thread Richard Turner
It has been marginally useful for some things, but with iOS 16 and the door
detection feature, it should become more useful for people who travel where
they need to find a door into a building or an office.

I think GoodMaps Explore is beginning to incorporate it.

The Image description in the Magnifier now even recognizes light switches on
the wall. If you go to hotels much, this could be useful as well.
Now, Door, image, and people detection may not need LIDAR unless you want to
know how far away the item is; but I'm not sure since I only have the 13 pro,
so I cannot test on something without LIDAR.

Seeing AI and other apps use it, but their image database is pretty small.

HTH,

Hi listers,
I can imagine that the Lidar sensor on the iPhone has great accessibility

lidar, how useful this has been so far? I am very curious.
I hope to hear your opinions on the subject.

I have an iPhone 10r and I’ve noticed the following when listening to music on
the iPhone.

If the screen is locked, and I pause the song, before, I could swipe down to
adjust the track position to 0 seconds to back to the beginning of the song.

With I O S 16, you can no longer scroll down to adjust the track position, when
the song is paused.

Does anyone know of a workaround?

I agree, app developers have had several months to get their apps ready for iOS

Thank you,

Terri

RE: BARD 2.0 is coming soon!

2022-09-16 Thread Richard Turner
I particularly like the idea of being able to download directly from the search
results. Sometimes, I want to download a book immediately, not put it on the
wish list and then download it.

The improved search results will also be welcome.

Thank you,

Terri

I have the Resmed C-PAP machine and their app will give you the readings each
morning, but you cannot make adjustments other than on the machine.

But, after the doctor set it up, I haven’t had to change it other than to try a
slightly different airflow or humidity, and my sighted wife, who has the same
machine, could do that.

My impression is they are all like this now.

Are you sure you are looking in the right place? To bring up the emoji keyboard
you have to find the "Emoji" button, you cannot select it using the button for
"next keyboard"/.

Visually the emoji button is between Numbers and the Spacebar, the "next
keyboard" button is below numbers sort of by itself on the left whereas on the
right on the very bottom is "Dictate".

Just above from left to right is "Numbers", "Emoji", Space" and "Return".

RE: automatic reminders or calendars

2022-09-16 Thread Christopher Chaltain
One option is the Microsoft To Do app. For each task you can set a due date and
a reminder day and time. It won't show up as an event on your calendar though.

I remember doing something similar to this with my Google calendar on line. You
could set different reminders such as an email the day before or an alert 15
minutes before a meeting, with quite a few other options. If this meets your
needs, you may want to check out the Google Calendar app.

Hello Good People,
Looking for a calendar, or reminder app, that will automatically prompt that
there is a task to be acomplished.
for example, I enter an apointment in the calendar, and the day before, at a
specific time, I would like the system to automatically alert me to the event
for next day.
If I haven't exxplained things too well, accept my apologies.
This used to be an onboard feature to an earlier samsung android phone I used
to run.

Thanks.

Hi Joe,

Are you talking about having the phone alert you a day before your event? If
this is the case, then when you create an event in the main calendar app, there
is a section that you can add new alerts to. Please restate if this is not what
you were looking for. Thanks.

Thanks.

automatic reminders or calendars

2022-09-16 Thread Joe Paton
Hello Good People,
Looking for a calendar, or reminder app, that will automatically prompt
that there is a task to be acomplished.
for example, I enter an apointment in the calendar, and the day before,
at a specific time, I would like the system to automatically alert me to
the event for next day.
If I haven't exxplained things too well, accept my apologies.
This used to be an onboard feature to an earlier samsung android phone I
used to run.

Thanks.

Joe

Screen locks too quickly after upgrade

2022-09-16 Thread Gezim Rexha

Gezim
