Be my eyes new service

2023-09-21 Thread Alison May
I asked if this app could also describe photos on my iPhone and followed the directions given. I am absolutely amazed. Below is a description of the day. My current guide dog met his puppy raiser and her new pup. The details really bring the picture alive. The picture shows two adorable dogs sitting on a floor. The floor has dark gray tiles and there is a beige rug where the dogs are sitting. On the left, there is a black Labrador with a shiny coat. It has soulful brown eyes and is wearing a collar with a tag. On the right, there is a German Shepherd puppy. It has a black coat with tan markings on its legs and face. The puppy has bright, curious eyes and floppy ears. It is also wearing a collar with a tag. They are sitting next to each other and seem to be in a kitchen, as there is a glimpse of a cabinet and an oven in the background.Sent from my iPhone by Alison may0777 315 8181On 21 Sep 2023, at 10:17 pm, Feliciano Godoy wrote:

First this isn’t an android list.
Second I would just switch back to iOS.
You wouldn’t have this problem on iOS.  You can attempt contacting Google accessibility but if you have the experience Jonathan Mosen and others who called his show have had good luck.

I could hear VoiceOver when using my headphones but once I took my headphones

however, just turn up volume on the phone! I don't understand why it was ok
with the headphones but not the speaker, and I don't know how it happened, but
at least the problem is solved!g

Headphones for iPhones

2022-03-16 Thread Alison May
I have just purchased two headphones for my iPhone 6 Se, only to discover that
they have lightning connectors and not the standard connectors. I am
considering upgrading my iPhone. Will these new lightning connectors be
compatible with the new iPhone or should I just return them?

Re: Looking for accessible language learning Apps

2022-03-14 Thread Alison May
I have been using duo lingo for the past 18 months in order to learn German. It
is an excellent app which I am using on my iPhone. However I have just come
back from holiday where there were many Germans and I was quite disappointed as
I thought I was approaching fluency and yet, although I could understand what
they were talking about, I couldn't actually converse with them, not as such
anyway. But it is a really good app but I agree, i probably need a German
conversation group as well.

I too am having difficulty removing books which I have read. I have followed
the suggestion about swiping down twice which takes me to the menu, but there
is no option in the menu to delete. There is an option to archive, but I don't
actually know what this means.

Re: Contacting Duolingo

2021-05-10 Thread Alison May
This is what my friend says:
I have contacted Duo Lingo a few times by email and they respond quite promptly.
If you go to your profile, click on settings and scroll down to “give
feedback”, click on that and it will open an email. Fill in your query and
send it off. I usually hear back within 24 hours. Perhaps you could ask them
to call you.
Hope this helps.
