I think the sales person was confused with voice control and voiceover. Hi Richard,

It is my understanding that a walking pad is to be used with a standing desk so 
that you can actually exercise while working on your computer. I have heard 
that they have a maximum speed of 3 1/2 miles an hour. Since they're a lot 
easier than a treadmill I would think they would be much more accessible.

Oh I can add books from Bookshare to my voic Voice Dream reader but I have another problem. If I go to a different app and then go back to the Voice Dream reader and hit play nothing happens. For me, it is one of the best apps out there for reading both ebooks and audio content. I’ll tell you all some of the recent changes the new owners have done for us all. They have recently allowed audio files in M4a format to  properly. When you want to change a reading voice for a bookshare book, you now have a search option  quickly find the voice you want. You also don’t have to pay for these voices either. You did have to pay around $5 per voice before. So please stop complaining and pay the $60 per year if you can. If people pay the money, think of how much better the app will be. I’ve pcht a lot of time into putting audio books and audio dramas on voice dream reader with iTunes to not pay the $60 price. When we found out that voice dream reader might be charging a subscripttion fee this shouldn’t be a surprise !o anyone. You can search for an app by asking Siri to find it in the App Store or you can open the App Store app then go to the lower right hand corner where it says search and do a one finger double tap then go to the top of the page and find the edit field which is a little deceptive because it will say games apps and stories and more. Yes, I had the same problem when I upgraded my phone. I actually deleted the app and reinstalled it. I had turned on notifications in the notification center made sure focus was turned off made sure that the app settings were all on notification and it still didn't work. This will depend on the iPhone you want to use as your backup phone. Newer iPhones have more features to help manage the health of your battery. Typically LI batteries like shallow charges

bottom of the screen. This will bring up your control center. The orientation 
lock is on the left-hand side of your screen. Swipe or explore until you find

I Lyssin to Picard on the Paramount Plus app on my iPhone. The audio 
description is available. Do you have to turn it on in every episode in the 
upper right hand corner of the screen.

The third season is the best! And if you have Paramount+ you can also watch 
strange new worlds which is even better!

If you are running the 3.5 version of chat GPT then it is accessing a database 
that is over two years old! It was anything you hear us from before September 
2021  if you have the paid version which is 4.0 then I think it relies on a 
more recent database you can also correct it and give it information. Of course 
this can be misleading if someone gives incorrect information.

Open scape compared to VoiceVista

I have been using the open scape beta for a couple of days now and I really 
like it! It has many of the great features of Soundscape in addition you can 
even have shortcuts for many of the features. Yesterday I downloaded VoiceVista 
as the new app for Soundscape. It seems much more limited tThan Soundscape and 
Openscape.   

What do you all think?

Hello Paula,Is it the settings for VoiceOver or for the phone? To change the phone settings go to settings, general and then go down to languages and regions. position. Do a one and finger double tap on that and then swipe up and down to

Oh I agree, I use voice dream reader all the time because it is better. The 
Bookshare app is brand new and they know it has bugs but they are going to be 
improving it over time.

Oh many apps of change models. There was one that was very expensive that is 
now free.

I think one thing the new owner should realize is that there are free 
alternatives to voice dream reader. It is my favorite reading app but there’s 
also the dolphin the reader and Capt. and others. Bookshare has also just come 
out with their own reader which I’m sure will be better over time.

Oh this is terrible! Voice dream reader and soundscape are probably my two 
favorite apps Soundscape is going away and now voice dream reader is going to 
be a subscription! I have used it for years well I have to start paying for it? 
Also, how much will it be?

My feeling is that I’ll read a book and any media that is accessible to me. 
when I was growing up the only thing that was available was talking books and 
RFB which is now Learning Ally. That was it. Course you could always have 
somebody read it to you in person but that was a lot more difficult.

I think we have a Goldmine of accessible information now and we shouldn’t take 
it for granted

I  use the AnyList app. It’s great especially for grocery lists. You can even 
share it with someone so when you add the item to your list it shows up on 
their phone. This makes it very handy when someone stops at the store to pick 
things up for you

I disagree, I don’t think it’s disgusting that they are introducing new 
technology for reading books. Having a human narrator is extremely time 
consuming! I listen to books from Bookshare which are not available in any 
other source and I use the speech on my phone to listen to them. When I really 
get into a book I move past the sound of the voice and just absorb the Contant. 
 

If these books become available in this format then I’m all for it
