GrubHub App question.
I have been using the GrubHub App, and I love the App; however, I am running into a problem or I could be missing something. I get through the ordering process just fine, but when I place my order, it does not seem to work. Does one have to wait a couple of minutes after placing an order before a receipt for the order comes up in the App? The Triple A batteries are not rechargeable. When I got my keyboard, the batteries that came with it did not last long; however, they could have been sitting in the box for a long time. I changed my batteries in January, and they are still going strong. A few weeks ago, Many of us got the WordCord app and found that there were some aspects of the game that were not working with VoiceOver such as being able to play the 4 and 5-letter games. Well, an update just came out today, and the developer meant what he said when he aimed to make improvements. The game is completely accessible now. I have this keyboard, and I love it. Besides being very easy to use, it is very portable. I take it with me when I need to take notes. I use it mainly to write longer e-mails on my phone, and I also use it to play the many crossword puzzle games on my phone. I highly recommend this keyboard. When you are in the game, there is a list games section that has all of your games that you can play and then a buy clues button. I bought a few packs of clues today, and once they are purchased, it will say that you have purchased the clues. GrubHub does not charge any delivery charges. When you order from a particular restaurant, Grubhub will tell you how much the delivery fee is and what the minimal order needs to be for delivery. The nice thing about the GrubHub app is that it has restaurant menus that are very accessible. Sometimes, when being on my PC and using Internet explorer, I find that there are restaurant menus that are not very accessible, and this App is very useful in this respect. I love Fleksy for doing a quick Tweet, a facebook status update, or writing a quick note. If I need to be more specific, I use BrailleTouch or my blueTooth keyboard. I'm learning how to use the built-in IPhone keyboard, but I type at a snails pace with that keyboard as of right now. I'm glad to have different options to accomplish tasks with my phone. I am very happy that the developers are able to make Fleksy free. I also have no problem with the fact that I bought the full version of Fleksy not too long ago. You can use the BN account to buy nook books. The Nook only reads the Nook books as far as I know. When you are on the BN site, click on my Nook after you log in and you will be in the Nook home page where you can find the nook books. A Safari question.
I have a Safari question. I am attempting to go to a web page on Safari. I type the address in the proper field, but the buttons I am hearing VO saying are clear text, cancel, back, forward, and return to web page. There is supposed to be a go button so I am told, but I am not finding it even when swiping. Is there a step I am missing or is Safari a pain in the butt? Re: Braille Touch Doesn't Work as I expected
The only issue that I am having with Braille Touch, and frankly, I'm not sure if this is even a Braille Touch issue, is that I can't paste text from Braille Touch into a facebook status. Facebook has recently updated the app, so I'm thinking this is a facebook issue. Other than that, for me, Braille Touch is wonderful. Yes, it takes time, practice, and coordination to get the holding position of the phone down, but that is no big deal. Reggie-you actually are on the right track in positioning your hands. Have your right hand close to the home buttone and your left hand closer to the ear slit just as you said. Try to keep your index finger as close to the edge of the screen as possible as this will keep your other fingers from sliding down and hitting the wrong dots. Give this app some time, patience, practice, and play. The positioning is awkward at first, but you will get it. This app is wonderful, and I to am looking forward to grade 2 support in the future and possibly a facebook option in the menu even though that is a work around at this time. I just installed NetFlix on my phone. The app does need to be played with, and it certainly is not perfect, but it can be done. I'm at work right now, so I did not get to explore a whole lot, but I found that if I search for what I want I can just click on a search result and hit play. This is going to come in handy when I am out and about and having to kill time in a bus station, train station, or airport. From the ITunes app on your phone, go to the search tab and type in NFB newsline or national federation for the blind newsline. Basic wireless blue tooth keyboard and the IPhone-4s.
I bought a basic blue tooth wireless keyboard to use with my phone. I'm planning to take it to the ATT store to get help hooking it up; however, does the phone need to be hooked up to my computer and to ITunes in order to hook up the wireless keyboard to the phone? An ITunes question.
Hello! Now that I have an IPhone that will be up and running within the next couple of days I figure it is time to get to know ITunes a little better. I'm using Jaws-11 with ITunes 11, and when I sign into the ITunes store, I'm told that my Apple ID is not linked to the ITunes store. I'm given the option to hit the review button, and when I do so, I get a screen that Jaws is not reading. Is there anything I can do on my PC to make jaws read this screen or should I sit tight and do everything on my phone once it is up and running?
