I also had a little trouble subscribing. It’s a bit confusing with the math
problem. I tried a couple of times and finally got it.

Good luck

David, did you check just above the heading level 1 “Newsletter” after entering
your email, completing the math question and activating the Submit button?

I had no issues and while the form was back asking for email address and math
question after I submitted it, checking the page showed me the following:

You will receive a confirmation e-mail shortly containing further instructions
on how to complete your subscription.

Once again, this is just above the Newsletter heading 1. Could this be maybe
done better? Probably, but I’m not a web developer and I am used to this kind
of behaviour with respect to confirmations so I always look for it. I ooften
start out by doing a Jaws Find search for the word “Thank” since often
confirmations contain “Thanks” or “Thank you”. If that doesn’t result in a hit,
I try “confirm” or even look for buttons since sometimes after a confirmation
message there is an OK or Close button. In this case, there is “close”, but
it’s a link and not a button.

In any case, I also received the promised email within seconds after completing
the form so this all works fine as far as I am concerned. If you don’t see the
email, make sure you check in your Junkmail/Spam folder. Mine clearly said it
was from Applevis and the subject is “Confirmation needed for AppleVis
newsletter subscription”. In the email it says that I subscribed and it gives
the email address I used, then it says to “Use this link to confirm your
subscription” an the “confirm your subscription” is the actual link.

Best regards,

Sieghard

RE: question about air tags

2024-08-21 Thread Sharon S
Hi, my parents have had them in their suitcases for many of their trips with no
issue finding them. Dad has also hidden one in his car to see if it goes
anywhere when he is away. The sort of tag my parents use actually got detected
on my brother’s phone when he was in dad’s car once. He got a message that
there was a tracking device following him.

I am not sure how to answer your question. I imagine it difficult to work. This
device is too tiny and its antenna may not pick up the signals inside a
suitcase. Also if you are looking for your item, you may not be able to hear
the sound if it is hidden inside a suitcase or backpack.

RE: Would This Work?

2023-11-06 Thread Sharon S
Hi, the only other suggestion I have is to restrict the area the cats can have
their balls in. This way you won't be hunting them all over the house, you will
have a good idea where it might be. Otherwise the tags sound like a good idea
to me if they can fit in the balls and not come out while the cats are playing.

They have lots of active toys and I play with them regularly. But I like the
feeder balls because it makes them hunt for their food, which makes them more
satisfied because it plays more to their natural instinct.

Plus at this point they love the feeder balls 😀

Thanks Sieghard for the great loon sounds.

I carved out the three calls from the Bird Note recording.

I think the tremolo in particular would make a great alarm, who wouldn’t wake
up with that call coming out of nowhere, grin.

Hi Alan,

I also prefer using a credit card especially since here in Canada it is now
extremely rare that you can't simply tap the card or of course I can use Apple
Pay with my iPhone or Apple Watch, but I find having a bit of cash in my wallet
is still handy for certain things. One example is when I take a taxi, here in
our small town they now finally have meters, but those only apply when you take
a longer trip out of town, in town any trip is still $12 and I usually give the
driver a bit of a tip, if I want to do this with a card (and they only accept
debit cards at this point due to the much lower fees) I would have to ask the
driver to set it up with a $2 tip or 15% of whatever whereas it's really handy
to have a $10 bill and a couple of Toonies or a $10 and a $5 bill and ask him
for a Dollar change.

And for all you non-Canadians who probably have no idea what a "Toonie" is,
it's our nick name for a 2 Dollar coin. The word is made up from "Loonie" our 1
Dollar coin which was introduced to replace the 1 Dollar bill in 1987 and the
number 2.

The Loonie name comes from the picture of the Common Loon which is on one side
of the coin, this is a water bird which occurs regularly in every single
Canadian province and Territory, in fact, 95% of the world's Loon population
breed in Canada, it's also found in Alaska, northern Minnesota and New England.

The Loon is the provincial bird for the province of Ontario and while Canada
doesn't currently have a national bird, most Canadians think this should be the
one.

The call of the Loon is very distinct and has 3 main variations, Whale (almost
like a wolf howl), Laugh or Tremolo and Yodel.

Below are a few facts and then two links, one to an article (it doesn't have
the recording), and two more for different recordings of the Loon calls:

• chick can swim right away, but spends some time on the back of a parent to
rest, conserve heat, and avoid predators

• has many bones that are solid, rather than hollow like those of other birds,
which aid its diving ability

• can stay under water for up to 5 minutes and dive to depths of 60 to 70 m
(196 to 229 feet)

• may have to run as far as several hundred metres (800 to 1000 feet) on the
surface of the water on a calm day before gaining enough speed to take off

• Loons can live up to 30 years, longer than Canada Geese (24 years) and much
longer than ducks (10 years)

• Although no one is sure why, Common loons' eyes are bright red in the summer.
They then change colour in the fall, fading to a dull reddish brown, while

their striking black and white plumage fades to grey.

• Species include the most common and recognizable black and white Common Loon,
the Red-throated Loon, the Pacific Loon, the Arctic Loon and the Yellow-billed
Loon.

Voices: The Common Loon - YouTube

This one I couldn't set up to play automatically, but there are only 3 buttons
on the page once it loads, use the "b" quick nav key until you get to the Play
Biutton:

Hear the Hauntingly Beautiful Call of the Common Loon - BirdNote

And back to the topic of money, our smallest bill is 5 Dollars and just as in
the US we also have a 10, 20, 50 and 100 Dollar bill, all of them are made from
a polymer plastic which is super tough, you can put it through the washer
without ill effect, and all bills are marked with 6-dot braille symbols which
ultimately can wear off as well, but it takes a really long time. A $5 bill has
a single 6-do

Hello,

Debby, thanks for such a positive and helpful response. Your suggestion to
use the rotor to find links and then flick to the link was a big part of
the solution. After doing that I ended up having to take it a bit further
by performing a one-finger triple tap (long press) on the link. I
then found and double tapped the Open Link button after which Safari opened
and presented me with the page on which I was able to allow access.

Thanks again and all the best

No Longer Able to Activate Links in Amazon Security Alert Text Messages

2021-04-17 Thread Sharon Morton
Hello,

For whatever reason, and it's driving me crazy, I can no longer activate
links in security alert text messages from Amazon. Such messages get sent
when Amazon accounts are accessed from unknown devices, and/or when
sensitive account areas, E.G., change password, are accessed. Normally,
it's just a matter of double tapping the link after which a page appears
allowing one to approve or deny the request. On my iPhone SE2 running the
current version of iOS, double tapping such links does absolutely nothing.
I handed my iPhone to a partially sighted friend, who, after I turned off
VoiceOver, was able to activate the link for me.

Needless to say, I feel somewhat foolish having successfully used iOS with
voiceover for several years and now find myself with a very basic problem.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks and all the best

Sharon

Hello, I am coming to the end of a contract with Virgin, and my 6S. I have
been offered a deal with Rogers for an 10 XP. I would like to know what your
opinion is on this phone, compared to an SE 2020. Thanks

RE: Hearing the name of the group

2020-11-17 Thread Sharon S
Hi, this isn't my only group that doesn't have it's name in the subject line so
when looking at mail on my phone I don't know which group some messages are
from. It is only when I et onto my computer where I have messages sorted into
different folders I work out which list things are from. Of course, this isn't
a problem if there is something obvious in the subject but this isn't always
the case.

RE: Siri problem

2020-06-29 Thread Sharon
I liked the Siri male voice the best. However, it would not stay as my default.
When I turned voice over off, and back on, it would always go back to Samantha.
I have now down loaded Alex, and he won the battle.

I have to admit it's not so much the voices that I don't care for, as much as
the way the words are being changed in pronunciation lately. What's up with
that?

I have a few points to make on this thread. First is that Marilyn has nothing
to apologize for, and I hope she doesn’t judge this whole list by a few rude
members. As anyone can tell, this list is full of members who want to help
other blind people. But it also can’t keep mean and self righteous people from
joining the list.

IMHO, the moderator doesn’t need to give this person a second chance before
kicking them off the list. Marilyn made an honest mistake, but anyone who would
tell someone else on the list that they don’t have a brain, is just not someone
who should be given another chance or be allowed on this list.

Finally, I’m on plenty of lists which have nothing to do with blindness and I
don’t find blindness related lists to have a greater number of rude people on
it then your average list. I wish it were the case that blind people would
kinder and more gracious then the general public, but unfortunately this isn’t
the case. I also don’t think that the opposite is true, and that is that the
blindness community is more mean spirited or has more rude people in it then
the general community. I find this to be just another unsubstantiated prejudice
against blind people.

RE: Scanning solution

2020-05-18 Thread Sharon S
Hi, could someone please send me a link for where I can buy the Fopydo stand? I
tried going through his site but have received no response. My mum was looking
at buying one for me awhile ago and after asking about the book reading
attachment we heard no more. I have tried sending a message to the selling the
other day to see if I can get a response now but if there is another place to
buy it then I would like to have the link.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks Sieghard for chiming in from a business perspective.

I don't think $20 is too high for that stand.

Before you get a ton of emails, NFB is very much a private nonprofit.

Before anyone else chimes in, all nonprofits who sell things, have to make
enough of a profit to stay in business; maybe not as much as a retailer since
the nonprofit isn't paying property tax, etc., but they have to pay utility
bills, rent or building maintenance if they own their building, etc.

When I was involved in testing the prototypes of the Fopydo stand, I told him
he should charge more; but he was doing it as a service, not as a money maker.

All would have been fine if the post office where he lives would have allowed
him to continue.

He had letters from each customer stating that they are blind and using the
stand to scan printed documents; but that apparently wasn't good enough for
them.

O well.

And if the person who makes this stand and who used to sell it for $12 now
sells it for $12 to NFB you should not expect them to sell it for $15, that is
a 20% margin and no business can survive on that.

As a retailer I have often come across somebody who thought they had this
awesome product and they wanted me to sell it. At the same time they would sell
it themselves for say $50 and then I asked them what I would have to pay for
the product. In many cases they told me the would give me a 10% or 15% discount
for selling their product and they were surprised when I told them that in
retail that unfortunately does not cut it. It is often impossible to explain to
somebody that they would have to sell it to me for $30 if they want me to sell
it for $50 if it should be worth my while or, if they want to sell it to me for
$45 and I would have to sell it for $75 to make a decent margin that they also
should sell it for that price themselves.

Of course if they want me to sell something on consignment where they give me
the product and I only pay them for what I sell I can go a bit lower, but at
the same time I may have competing products which I sell at a 35% or 40% margin
and there is very little incentive for me to try and sell the customer that
other product where I may only make a 25% margin.

And if shipping is involved I don’t blame anybody who charges a handling fee if
they have to stock, pack and ship a product for which they make a $3 profit. I
understand the NFB in the US is a government agency or maybe I’m wrong, here in
Canada we have the CNIB (Canadian Federation for the Blind) and while they are
a government agency, they also sell products for profit at their stores and I
don’t blame them because just as with most government agencies funding is
always a problem and they often have to find ways to make a bit of money to
support their programs.

Tomek charged $12, and shipped free matter without charging anything for

He was not making any money really other than being able to continue buying the

So, on the one hand, if he is still able to make them because the NFB is

Well, in the case of the no touch thermometers, I would not assume they are not
returnable, but of course, one who buys an item without checking first if that
item is returnable, takes a risk.

I always check first before ordering anything online.

I have one of the talking infrared scanning ones. I got it ages ago from the

Are all of the ones mentioned with apps under the tongue or scanning type ones?
I'm frankly surprised the Exergen thermometer which is heavily advertised

Re: adding ring and alert tones to iPhone

Hi,
I guess you hadn't noticed a similar message I had asked. If you want
your ringtones to show up on your phone you have to copy them from
your harddrive on your computer and then you have to bring iTunes up
and go to your iPhone and tab to the summary tab and arrow down and
paste them in the ringtones . For some reason iTunes no longer has a
ringtone section. Hope this helps you.

Hi Sharon,

There is no tones library any more in the media section, only when your phone
is connected in the device section.
Here is what you do:
1. Connect your phone and open iTunes.
2. Find the "iPhone" button and activate it.
3. Use F6 or tab to get into the treeview where you will be on the "Summary"
tab 4. Type "T O" and it will go down to "Tones", it could be the last item or
if not near the bottom of the treeview, but first letter navigation works.
5. Tab a few times until you are in the list of tones.
6. If you want to add a tone go to where you have it saved on your computer, I
assume you are using Windows. Simply copy the tone with Control+C, go back to
iTunes and your list of tones and paste it there with Control+V.

If you want to delete tones you have to tab a lot when you are on the Summary
tab and check the "manually manage videos and songs" or something like that.
You can add tones if you leave this unchecked, but only if you check this you
can simply press delete on a tone and it will be removed from your phone.

Ringtones

2017-10-01 Thread sharon mace
Hi,
I am not sure if someone had asked this before and I just missed an
answer, but all my ringtones are missing from my iPhone since I
upgraded to ios 11. I do not see anywhere in the new iTunes to put
them back on my phone. Can someone tell me how I would go about doing
this? Thanks for any help.

Gem IV

2016-06-19 Thread Sharon
Hi,
If you are wanting to get on Gem Iv, you have to go to play.net and log in and
pick gem IV in the games, and if you have a character created you have to check
the box by the character name and go down and pick other options and click the
wizard check box and save that sal file. It has all the log in information that
you will need. It is just like connecting to dragon rhelms.

Requesting recommendations for an app to learn essential Spanish to aid when travelling, and a translation app

2015-07-11 Thread Sharon Ballantyne

Hi All,

I am being sent from Canada to a conference in Lima Peru next month. I will
have benefit of a translator for the conference proceedings.

I am only in Lima for a week but I would like to get some sense of being able
to communicate common courtesies and basic survival phrases. I am totally blind
so need it to be accessible with voice over, not reliant on any visual.

Also, what might you recommend for an English to Spanish translation web site
or app?

I have not yet sorted out if I will even be able to use my phone as Canada has
crazy cell charges and roaming charges that are even more crazy!

Thank-you for any recommendations.

Lastly, kind of unrelated, if anyone has travelled to Lima, I would love to
hear about experiences/advice which you could post me about privately.

sbal...@nexicom.net <mailto:sbal...@nexicom.net>

With thanks and appreciation.

Request for printer information -- MAC computer, iPhone and iPad want a printer that will provide Braille and print and air print from devices??

2015-03-07 Thread Sharon Ballantyne

Hi All:

Can anyone provide any information for a Braille and regular ink print printer.
Someone is looking for a Braille print printer for use with a MAC computer and
has both iPhone and iPad so is hoping to have the air print option.

What kinds of dual Braille and print printer exists for MAC?

What software would be needed for the MAC and what apps might you recommend?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Adding audio books

2014-11-18 Thread Sharon
Hi all,

I am not sure this has been covered, but when I try to add a folder that has
mp3 files of audio books into iTunes it gives me the ding that it has moved
it into my library but I do not see the book in my library. I know if I
combine all the files into 1 big file and then try to transfer it into
iTunes it works just fine, but that is so time consuming. If anyone has any
suggestions on how to make this less tedious I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Hi Sharon and John,

Now that there are interactive notifications removing and adding items is
done from Notification Centre. Pull down with 3 fingers after touching the
status bar to open the Notification Centre. At the bottom you will find an
Edit button. Double tap it and now you will see the items in the
Notification Centre and there is a Delete button to the left. After the
items that are in Notification Centre are those which are not and also apps
are listed which can be inserted into Notification Centre. 2 examples, if
you have these apps installed, are Audible Stats and Dropbox. If you insert
them you will be able to see your listening statistics in Notification
Centre and you will be able to see a list of recently added and changed
files for Dropbox.

Subject: RE: Kings Corner

Picture a square.
The Kings go in the corners.
In the middle spots between the kings are four places where the other cards
are laid out. The center is left empty.
So a potential of 8 piles of cards. Starting in the upper left you might
have, an empty king's spot, to the right a 3 of diamonds, to the right of
that in the upper right-hand corner another empty king's spot. In the
middle right you might have a jack of clubs, in the lower right another
empty king's spot.
In the bottom row middle, you might have a 5 of spades. IN the lower left
might be dealt a king of hearts or it could be another empty spot. Finally,
in the middle left spot you may have a 4 of spades.

It is like solitaire, where you have to place the cards in descending order
alternating between red and black.
So, in my example, starting off you could move the 3 of diamonds onto the 4
of spades. You double tap and hold on the card you want to move, wait for
the tones, then slide your finger on the card where you want to place that
card. Only places where it is legal to drop a card will speak. So, when
you slide the 3 of diamonds onto the 4 of spades, you will hear "4 of
spades" spoken and lift your finger and that pile will now read, 4 of spades
to 3 of diamonds.
You now have an empty spot in the top middle, so you could move one of the 7
cards you were dealt to that location.
The ultimate goal is to run out of cards with as many empty spots as
possible.
On the king's in the corners, you place the queen, then jack etc. in
alternating colors.

I hope that helps,
Richard

Re: Choosing Provider

2013-12-26 Thread Sharon Ballantyne
Dear Chris,

I am also in southern Ontario. I think all the three providers have good
coverage in southern Ontario. Look at the packages being offered and perhaps go
with the payment range and coverage depending on what data you are wanting and
phone options.

I am with Bell and have not had any problems but if you do need to call Bell
for something, my experiences is be prepared for a long time on hold.

Virgin is associated with Bell. My daughter just dropped her Bell service and
went with Virgin. She went from an iPhone 4 to the 5S and is really enjoying it.

You might also inquire about support as that may be a helpful factor as well.

Depending on the warranty plan you go with, costs can also bump up.

That sounds like an awesome price point.

can't text on iPhone 4 still running last update of IOS 6

I am not aware of changing any settings or anything but with voice over on I am
unable to text from my iPhone 4. If voice over is turned off, sighted people

keyboard should respond just makes that “thunk” sound.

Do you have any ideas?

Help needed to make ibook read continuously with voice over in iOS 6 and in iOS 7

2013-09-26 Thread Sharon Ballantyne
Hi all,

I have never used ibooks before. My phone is a 4 still on IOS 6. I ordered the
"IOS without the i" and it has opened up in the ibook app. I have seen a page
picker but sliding even in small in cements will skip several pages. How do I
make voice over read the book without having to find the picker each time and
try to change the page?

Will it be different in IOS 7 once I have that upgrade.

Thank-you for your help.

Is there an accessible app for the new DSM V

2013-08-29 Thread Sharon Ballantyne
Hello,

I am searching for a searchable DSM V app. They seem to start at around
twenty-five dollars and range to much higher.

The new DSM V was released in the spring.

I know the e-version is around one hundred fifty dollars but I am not sure how
accessible that would be and I'd love the portability of being able to have it
on my phone.

Applevis doesn't show any reviews.

This is a diagnostic manual that provides categories and criteria across the
mental health spectrum.

I am hoping there might be some on this list who may use this in their field of
work and might direct me to an app that is accessible.

Please e-mail me off list.

With much thanks

Talking Goggles

2013-08-06 Thread Sharon
Hi all,

I was wondering if Talking Goggles has been taken out of the app store? I
was telling someone about the program and they couldn't find it, so I went
looking for it in the app store and I couldn't find it either. Thanks for
the help.

Re: iPhone 4 help for overriding spelling and app swotcher question, related to using seeing Eye app

2013-08-01 Thread Sharon Ballantyne
Hi there,
Thank-you for your kindness in checking this spelling issue.

How do I disable the auto spelling correction feature?

Also do you know if I can check somewhere if I have somehow regarding the
reality that my app switcher is no longer speaking that I have no items left in
the app switcher? I must have done something but I have no idea what.

I really appreciate the clarification about the Seeing Eye app.

iPhone 4 help for overriding spelling and app swotcher question, related to using seeing Eye app

2013-08-01 Thread Sharon Ballantyne
Hi All,

These questions likely apply to general phone use but I am asking in context of
the new Seeing Eye app use.

I am trying to enter an address in the text field and it will not accept what I
type and keeps changing my word to Breaker when the street name is Brealey. How
do I make the auto correct not take over?

Also as Seeing Eye uses data, I am concerned about it running and using data
when I may think it is off but may still be on. I have gone into app switcher
doing double tap of the home button, doing the tap and hold until I hear
editing apps when I can then do the split tap but voice over is not saying
anything to tell me there is nothing left in the app switcher. I am sure it
used to confirm the app switcher was empty.

Advice greatly appreciated.

Re: emoticons?

2013-03-02 Thread Sharon Ballantyne
Yes they are under keyboards. It has been awhile but I think under
international keyboards.

On my iPhone, it becomes a second keyboard option on the keyboard. I think
someone told me the visual is a "world" keyboard. To select it go to the left
of space button.

It is a tap and hold to switch keyboards. Similar to switching between the
letter qwerty keyboard and numbers keyboard which si the next button over to
the left (lower left corner of keyboard).

Note that the emotions will all speak when you are selecting them and there are
tons of fun things that can be selected but if you are selecting images to be
sent to an android, they appear as a tray rectangle i the midst of the text,
but as the emoticons when communicating on an apple device. I do not know if
this has been corrected recently.

Hi and welcome to the list. Just so you know, all new members are moderated
until we see they are real people. So, this is why some of your messages
didn't go to the list right away. Also, this is an iOS list which is mainly
about the iPhone and the iPod Touch and the apps which can be used on them.
Perhaps the blindphones list might be better to find out which Nokia apps
you can get. I don't have the information about the blindphones list, but
someone on here will no doubt reply with the information. Or, you can take a
look at the list archives of this list. The link is on every message and it
has a search so you can type a keyword. I know the blindphones list
information has been given before.

Good luck.

I was wondering if anyone uses VIA on there iPhone 5 successfully? Before

Has anyone else taken the plunge and preordered, what capacity did you get,

Help please, canI control contacts going from mountain lion to iPad and iPhone

2012-09-03 Thread Sharon Ballantyne
Hi all,

I recently upgraded my iMac to Mountain Lion IOS 10 and voila all my contacts
all were magically placed on my iPad and iPhone. If I delete from onee, I am
assuming that will delete from every device.

Can I set my iPhone and iPad so some of these contacts do not show up but stay
in my Mac, as several are e-mail contacts only that I don't need on other
devices.

Also can I do something to check for duplicates and merge information because
now some of my contacts are duplicated.

Thank-you so much for suggestions.

word search plus help

2012-08-01 Thread Sharon
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can help me with this game. I know the tips say to
tap the first and last letter of a word when you find it, but how do you
know when the word is highlighted? Also how do you know if you have finished
the game? One other thing, does anyone have any suggestions on finding the
words that may go diagonally? Thanks for any help with this game?

Book Mark for self created audio files, advice needed

2012-07-02 Thread Sharon Ballantyne
Hi All,

I still have not found a suitable recorder that would allow me to preserve
audio recordings (from audio tapes)tone indexing.

I am wondering if I could use the book mark app. I know I would need to still
individually put in the book marks where the tone indexes were but that is okay.

I have hundreds of children's books and I need advice on how you recommend I
create such a library. I would want to be able to replay them on iPhone 4 or
iPad 2. I need to be able to hold the book to read to children and listen with
headphones or earbud. I have done this with an audio tape recorder for many
years. I just don't want to accidentally tilt my i device mid reading or
something and lose my place so I am nervous about what might be the best way.I
am totally blind so use voice over for all of my screen navigation information.

I don't have any music on my i devices so I wondered about just making each
book title its own file.
I have both MAC and PC computer.
Any recommendations about backing up would also be appreciated.

Thanks so much.

Peace, Justice, Grace and Blessings,

Sharon

RE: New Iphone game

2012-06-21 Thread Sharon
Hi,

If you have played any of the storemate games it is similar to how this is
played. You have to do certain jobs and you fight people. You can get a
special job which right now for me is printing counterfit bills and this
helps you jump up from 1 level to another quicker and earn a lot of cash.
The other thing is the FBI can take your cash and a family member, but you
can go after the FBI to get them back.

Hi,

I have been trying to purchase Anna's book tonight. Even with sighted help the
shopping cart keeps saying it is empty after clicking on the book. I have
selected the word download file format so that can't be the issue.

Quantity shows one.

When hitting purchase now the book disappears and the cart is empty.

We are missing something.

Thank-you for any help you can offer.

Re: Displays with the iPad

2012-04-26 Thread Sharon Ballantyne
Hi there,

I am a totally blind teacher who uses an iPad in my elementary school classroom.
I switch between having the projection system connected to my laptop and the
iPad all the time.

You need an adapter to connect the iPad tot he projection. I am sorry i bought
the adapter six months or so ago and do not remember what it is called. It is
super easy to use though. I also plug the iPad into a set of small computer
speakers so I ahve full sound.
We use small group and large group activities. My students use lots of apps
that are not even fully accessible to me but their eyes work, it is mine that
do not, so it is all fine.

My students ahve also been doing searches for youtube videos for short
presentations, for example, we are currently studying the environment and care
of the earth. We project these videos from either the iPad or computer
depending on which device we used to search.

All the best with your presentations.
