RE: Alarmed was Re: Calendar event, can I check?

2013-03-10 Thread Rose Combs
It was coming out of the phone ear piece when it was lying flat on the desk.
Never got it to work even after I installed and then reinstalled. No big
deal right now.

BTW, I hate daylight saving time. I thought I had my phone set so it would
not change time since I am Arizona. My alarm went off and I jumped up, ran
for the shower, got dressed and turned on the radio, the wrong stuff was on
and when I check a different clock, it seems I got up an hour early.
considering my phone says it is set on Phoenix time, I don't have a clue why
that happened, my husband's 5 did not change.

I was a bit unhappy to realize I got out from my nice cozy bed an hour
earlier than I needed to.

Why do we keep flipping times anyway, I had three clocks I had to mess
around with in my free hour this morning.

works if you are using the same Apple ID that you did the original

Hi,

I got the extras. To me just being able to import the reminders into
Alarmed is worth the 2 bucks. I think that purchasing the extras is worth a
couple of bucks even if its just to encourage the developer to create other
great Vo accessible apps like this one.

The author of this app says it's great if you need to take medicines on a
pretty tight schedule. With certain drugs they start out with small doses
and increase that over time until the desired amount is reached. Bikeways,
the reverse is true as well and they want you to take the drugs at a
specific time.

Neil, I don't know because I do not have Siri on my iPhone 4. What I like
though is the amount of customization and flexibility the app offers. For
example, like I said in my original post, you could set up reminders to
occur the first Wednesday of the month, every other day, whatever. It's
just so flexible compared to the stock Calendar/Reminders apps.

I tried this app hoping to get my husband to use it for scheduling his
medications. It only talked through the earpiece, and we had no clue what
to do to make it work. I will have to find another noisy solution to keep
him on track and I know there are medication trackers out there, I just
have
not been able to type them all in, would be easy if I could transfer my
Word
file to the phone I suppose but he probably would never read it if I did.
I
don't have dropbox or any other file-sharing apps at this time. They can
be

done, I just have not had a great need since all my work stuff comes to me
in Word, Excel or PDF and I use the computer to access them.

I know, I am woefully behind the times here, not enough hours in most
days.

Hello all
Thank you for your help.
I'm pleased to report the Alarmed app is just what I was after.
I was able to set a super reminder to occur on the first Wednesday of
every

month.
I love this app to bits!
Don't get me wrong, the default calendar/reminder apps are good, but if
you

want more customization and flexibility, the Alarmed app is the way to go.
It is completely free in the app store, with an in-app purchase for the
extras pack should you wish to do that. I did this very thing, because I

this app 100% accessible with VoiceOver.
Thank you once again, and, as the developer said, are you alarmed? Smile.

The developer actually is a really nice guy and you'll get a reply from him
if you contact him. If I remember right, I contacted him because in his
extras package of sounds there is a coocoo clock. I wondered if it could be
made to chime the hour count. He said it was just a wake up sound and not
intended to coocoo the hour but it was something to think about for the

Neil, I don't know because I do not have Siri on my iPhone 4. What I
like though is the amount of customization and flexibility the app

When you create your reminder, there is a super reminder button you want to
press. Then you want todouble tap on repeat. Next flick down, and there is a
picker item that allows you to choose how many days you want to be reminded. I
hope this makes sense. If not, feel free to write me back.

You get more sounds, and super day reminders. You can also auto import your
