Is this also the case with the Ipod 5th Generation?

Thanks.

Thanks very much for this.

I did a search using handwriting, and there was no Nike Plus. But then I
followed your advice, found it, and turned it on. It's now there when I
search in handwriting.

Is the app not active until one opens the app, and then it starts counting
steps? Or, does one need to turn it on and off every time one wants to use
it?

Thanks!

I forgot to say that once you turn the app on in settings, it will then
appear in your apps listing as Nike plus iPod. You can't beat the price and
it's already there.

There is a pedometer already built into your iPhone.

Open settings, Nikkei plus iPod. Double tap on Niki plus iPad. You can in
settings within the app select your present weight in either pounds or KG.
You can also select your power song and even your choice of male or female
voices. And the app is totally accessible.

Re: Is There A Talking Pedometer App?

2014-04-21 Thread Jared
With the nike+ipod app can you get speed on how fast you are going? I don't
care about accuracy as long as it's off by the same amount each time. I'm
looking for a baseline so I can determine weather I am increasing my speed
on a tredmill over a set of workouts.

2014-04-20 Thread Alan Paganelli
First you have to go to settings, Nike plus iPod and double tap the on button.
Then double tap sensor button. The mail or female voice you selected will
tell you to walk around to activate the sensor. Make sure you've made all the
choices including entering in your present weight. If you haven't done all
that, I don't think when you exit Nike plus iPod in settings, I don't think
you'll see the work out screen when you go to the Nike plus iPod on what ever
page of apps you find the Nike plus iPod. Note: the Nike plus iPod in
general, settings, is only the informational page. Then there will be an app
on one of your app pages. That's where you'll find the various kinds of
workouts.

There is a start/stop button. There probably are other apps out there that
have more features like keeping a log but you can't beat the price and, it is
totally accessible. Just be careful when running. The faster you run, the
easier it is to get hurt.

Thanks very much for this.

I did a search using handwriting, and there was no Nike Plus. But then I
followed your advice, found it, and turned it on. It’s now there when I search
in handwriting.

Is the app not active until one opens the app, and then it starts counting
steps? Or, does one need to turn it on and off every time one wants to use it?

Thanks!

I forgot to say that once you turn the app on in settings, it will then
appear in your apps listing as Nike plus iPod. You can't beat the price and
it's already there.

When you have the sensor calibrated and then you open the app from what ever
page it's on on your iPhone you'll see the workout screen. There you can
select the kind of workout you want. The app will give you a short
description of each kind of workout. Assuming of course you have hints
enabled in settings.

Take a step and have someone measure it with a tape measure. Or, if you know
of a space that you have already measured, start from one end and count your
steps and divide the distance by the number of steps.

Hey cheers! I didn't know such a feature was built in now. I'm sure in
the past you had to get a third party accessory to get this to work. So
when was this changed?

Happy Easter!

Open settings, Nikkei plus iPod. Double tap on Niki plus iPad. You can
in settings within the app select your present weight in either pounds or
KG. You can also select your power song and even your choice of male or
female voices. And the app is totally accessible.

As an alternative, you can use ITreadMill. You need to set the length of

Re: Is There A Talking Pedometer App?

2014-04-19 Thread brian albriton
It's not technical, but it works. I counted my paces when I was serious about
this sort of thing. Thousand pieces as a mile pace been defined by two steps
equals apace dictation turned pieces into paces but I think you get the idea.
And I'm sure nobody would want to do this. Just thought I would throw that out
there. All that said, it is exciting these kinds of apps and devices are out
there.

Re: Is There A Talking Pedometer App?

2014-04-19 Thread Gadget Girl Anita
Hello. When I purchased my sensor, I got it from Best Buy. It was about $20.
I also purchased a pouch so I could put the sensor in the pouch and attach it
to the laces of any sneakers I decided to wear. It attaches with Velcro. I
thought I'd put that out there so you know you do not have to own Nike sneakers.

Regards,
Gadget Girl Anita

Hi, I just activated the app on my 4s. I got to activated the censor but, how
long before it gets activated? Also, I haven’t found anything that says off
on. Thanks for letting us know about this app. I had no idea of it and wanted

  Thanks!

There is a start/stop button. There probably are other apps out there that
have more features like keeping a log but you can't beat the price and, it is
totally accessible. Just be careful when running. The faster you run, the
easier it is to get hurt.

There is a pedometer already built into your iPhone.

Open settings, Nikkei plus iPod. Double tap on Niki plus iPad. You can in
settings within the app select your present weight in either pounds or KG. You
can also select your power song and even your choice of male or female voices.
And the app is totally accessible.

HTH

Alan

Hi,
I was wondering if there was such a thing as, a VO friendly pedometer app that
will speak distance and calories?
Thanks for any advice.

Regards.
Jim.

I forgot to say that once you turn the app on in settings, it will then appear
in your apps listing as Nike plus iPod. You can't beat the price and it's
already there.
