Hi, just an FYI, I believe that Speed Dots is the manufacturer, but AT
Guys is a re-seller. So, in that sense, both you and Alan are correct.

I believe that you can also get some raised line and Braille labeled

Hi Lisa,
I don't think there is all that much difference between the 5 and the
4s, with respect to the physical layout, except the 5 has the larger
screen. So the book you have from NBP should give you the accurate
info. Is there something specific you are looking for that isn't in
the book?\

True, but the gestures and such are the same. My husband has a 5 and I have
a 4S, I can use his phone as easily as I can mine. The screen is a bit
larger which does not bother me, the phone is lighter, the only real reason
I would like a 5. I have had to help my husband do things and thee is
really no difference in using his or my phone.

Hi, all. I've been on this list for a couple of weeks, but I just now
got my phone up and talking. I haven't activated it yet, but I do
have a wireless connection here so I can at least practice other
things besides using it as a phone. I'm using VZW as my wireless provider
as well.

I really need a detailed description of the phone's physical layout
before moving on. I have a really good book from National Braille
press, but it doesn't discuss the iPhone 5, at least not that I can find.

I'm using an Otter Box case, so I can access most everything without
 removing the phone.

Anyone know where I can get this info so it makes more sense from a
 nonvisual perspective?

My newbie friend said he has messages where I have Safari in the dock. Is
this the way the 5 phone is set up? Did they put messages in the dock, and
are they messages as in texting? He would have not moved anything out of the
dock as he still is struggling with just answering the phone. LOL. In
fact, I passed on the info everyone gave me about podcasts, and he sent an
email back to me. All it said was Holy cow! Guess he may be slightly
overwhelmed! Understand that feeling, and thank goodness I am past all that!
