Try making a phone call and then press the Voice button while on the call to unmute. If that doesn't work, leave the headset down flat on a hard surface for 10 seconds to reset it. And finally, if all else fails, use the headset updater to restore factory settings. This should resolve the problem, I think. It just keeps saying mute on or beeping. also, the review said that you press the button once to unmute or hold it down for the voice command interface. Problem here is I don’t have to hold it down for the command interface to come up; I press it and it says say a command immediately. of course, I can’t actually give it one because it is muted. any help would be appreciated. obviously, something isn’t right here. -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list. RE: Plantronix voyager Legend headset question
One other option would be to try holding down both the buttons on the microphone stick portion (near where it swivels) for 10 to 12 seconds. Try it under both power on and power off conditions. This approach worked for me once when the thing seemed dead. Brought it back to life and it’s been working fine since. Have you tried pushing the button and holding it until something else happens? Just ignore the command prompt and keep holding and see what happens. Good luck.
