RE: Brother Air Print Laser printer question

2015-03-20 Thread Richard Turner
There is a Brother Utilities that I just brought up but it is not very
accessible.

This is just a straight printer though, rather than the multi-function machine.

I’ll try and get the CD from my wife and investigate more over the weekend.

Hi Richard,

On my Brother MFC 7340 it comes with software called “Control Center 3.” In
there you can select different functions of the device such as scan, file,
image, etc. I’m not sure if this is a feature for the multi-function units or
if all the different types of laser printers have this software. I’m running a
black laser device on both my PC and Mac. I installed Bonjour printer utility
on my husbands PC to enable him to share the printer on my Mac. I hope this
clarifies what I was inquiring about.

Thanks.

I have not needed to dig into any software.

If you are talking about the control panel on a computer for the Brother
itself, I have not checked. My previous model was the HL2140 and it had a
installation for screen reader users that was very helpful.

I am not sure when I'll have time this weekend, but I will try checking out the
CD.

Keith,

I can't really answer your question. But, my wife and I just bought a Brother
HL 2360 Duplex wireless laser printer, black not color.

We got it for both use with our laptops and with the iPhones.

Since we were using it for the computers, I just let my wife run the install
from the CD, which also had a routine for setting up the wireless. It took
maybe 2 or 3 minutes and it works great!

I think, but do not know, that one could set it up without the computer, but I
suspect there would be a step or two that required sight, but I'd contact
Brother directly and find out.

We really like Brother printers. It has a 250 sheet paper tray and prints 32
pages a minute.

HTH,

Richard

Re: Brother Air Print Laser printer question

2015-03-19 Thread Richard Turner
Keith,
I can't really answer your question.
HTH,
Richard
