Hi Chris,

Sorry to hear this. Have you checked for any system updates? For the gentleman
who asked about the operating system, I am using TVOS 17.0 21J 354.

Best,

Hi. I just tried it with the Arteck Bluetooth keyboard and it still isn’t
working. If I hold alt and control I can navigate across with the arrow keys
but I can’t move up and down. I don’t have a Logitech keyboard to try. I’ll try
my apple magic keyboard later.

The issue with using the keyboard with one’s Apple TV has been fixed. The arrow

Hi All,

I have been using a Logitech K380 with my Apple TV 4th Generation for about two
years. After going away for a couple weeks, when returning, that keyboard no
longer works. The arrows yield no response and the Return key either does
nothing or launches a different app that I am focused on. Since my keyboard was
out of warranty, I decided to purchase the K780 which I know many use on this
list. The same problems with unresponsive arrow keys are present on that
keyboard. On my iPhone, the return key does not activate an app. Logitech says
it is something Apple software modified. Is anybody successfully using am Apple
TV 4th Generation with either the K380 or K780? If anyone can suggest another
compatible keyboard, that would be appreciated.

Best,

RE: Logitech Keyboard?

2021-02-21 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Yes, I have my iPhone set up on F2, I just pressed F2, then the spacebar which
woke up my iPhone, I typed in my 6-digit PIN on the numeric pad and the iPhone
unlocked.

The K780 is larger and much heavier than the K810/811. Sorry about my mistake
with the number of devices, it's been so long that I used my K811 that I forgot
it can also do 3 devices.
The main thing why I wouldn't want to use it with Jaws is because it doesn't
have a number pad and I just don't like to use Bluetooth on a computer because
of the lag.
For me the K780 is about as good as it gets because it is still more compact
than a full size keyboard, but it has a numeric pad as well as the USB dongle
and it's also very quiet so I am not bothering my wife if she is already
sleeping and I still type away. Only slight drawback is that you have to
install the Logitech Options software in order to restore traditional function
key behaviour.

Hi.

I also have a Logitech K780. My iPhone X can be locked, and it responds to the
keyboard. I have no problem entering my unlock code.

Just letting you know.

I however recommend to use the dongle even if your laptop has Bluetooth as it
is noticeable more responsive when typing then Bluetooth.

If you bought it new, it came with batteries, but there is a plastic tab that
should be slightly sticking out of the battery cover that you have to remove as
it prevents the batteries from making contact so they don’t run down before use.

If you have any sighted assistance, or use Be My Eyes or Aira, you could also
make sure that someone can see that a little light is on to confirm the power

You need to hold that in for several seconds while in the bluetooth settings.
The keyboard will show up toward the end of the bluetooth settings after the

it prevents the batteries from making contact so they don’t run down before use.

If you have any sighted assistance, or use Be My Eyes or Aira, you could also
make sure that someone can see that a little light is on to confirm the power
is on.

well I found my Bluetooth keyboard in my mailbox rather than at my door which
is where packages usually are left. And I don't check mail daily but it has
arrived. And I too can't seem to pair it or have my phone pick it up. I found
the two slim rectangular buttons to the right there's a slider switch on the
back which is either on or off. The battery tab was pulled out. Don't know what
to do with that rotating button at the top I read something that said I had to
set it to channel 1 or 2 or three but maybe it's too early to do that at this

It is the right-hand most of the two rectangular keys that are by themselves on
the just below the slot for an iPad on the top opposite of the dial.
You need to hold that in for several seconds while in the bluetooth settings.
The keyboard will show up toward the end of the bluetooth settings after the

Hello,
Does anyone use a Logitech k480 with their iPhone?
I'm trying to pair mine but I'm missing something.
I moved the dial to where I wanted it set and did the usual settings,
Bluetooth, and it isn't discovering the keyboard.
Am I missing a step?

You may need to hold it longer, and make sure with the other hand, you flick to
where it says Apple Watch, and flick back.
I have paired at least 10 of these keyboards on a wide variety of phones for
clients.
Maybe calling Apple Accessibility and doing a screen share so they could see
when the k480 pops up would get it done.

If it recognizes other devices, then the batteries are fine.
Try turning off Bluetooth on the other devices, and your phone.
Turn off the keyboard.
Reboot the phone.
Turn Bluetooth on the phone again.
Turn the keyboard on.
Then, try the pairing once more.

You haven’t paired it with any other device right?

The dial determines which channel you are pairing your device with. Just
remember which position it is in when you want to use it.
Of the two rectangular buttons hold the farthest right hand one down for
several seconds while you are in the Bluetooth settings.
Put the Voice over focus on where it says To Pair an apple watch.
After about 5 or more seconds, the K480 should show up.
Double tap on it and it should just connect.

Subject: Logitech Keyboard k480 and iPhone

Hello,
Does anyone use a Logitech k480 with their iPhone?
I'm trying to pair mine but I'm missing something.
I moved the dial to where I wanted it set and did the usual settings,
Bluetooth, and it isn't discovering the keyboard.
Am I missing a step?
Tom

Re: Logitech Keyboard k480 and iPhone

2020-05-28 Thread deidre muccio
thanksRichard. It's not happening. My other phones are being picked up, So I
know it can recognize other devices. I did all that you said, maybe the
batteries that came with The keyboard are dead. I Will now have to get new
batteries to see if that's the issue. It's disappointingBecause I was looking
forward to getting going with the new set because I was looking forward to
getting going with the new set up!. there's no way voiceover will do an
acceptable job of things without a keyboard any longer.
OK, now to find another project for the day.

Re: Logitech Keyboard k480 and iPhone

2020-05-27 Thread Richard Turner
When the switch on the back is moved away from the batteries, it is on.
HTH,

Did you hold down the button to put it in pairing mode after turning it on?
It is the right-hand most of the two rectangular keys that are by themselves on
the just below the slot for an iPad on the top opposite of the dial.
You need to hold that in for several seconds while in the bluetooth settings.

RE: Logitech keyboard cover for the iPad, etc.

2012-11-01 Thread Debbie April Yuille
Hi

I just purchased a keyboard cover very similar to it. However I'm not sure
how to connect the cover to the iPad. How is this done. Also can you fold
the iPad over the keyboard when you want to use it as the usual tablet.

Thanks

Debbie

Subject: Logitech keyboard cover for the iPad, etc.

Hello all,

Sorry if this has been posted previously, but I wanted to mention that I use
the Logitech ultrathin keyboard cover for the iPad,and I've been very happy
with it.

First, the keyboard is quite easy to use and has a comfortable feel wehn I
am typing. I can use the onscreen keyboard pretty well, in fact, better than
on the iPhone, but I like the bt keyboard for quickly typing emails, notes,
and so forth.

The battery life is quite good, as the documentation says the battery will
last for six months based on using the iPad for two hours every day. There
are two shortcomings involving the micro USB cable and the batttery
indicator. First, the cable is approximately six inches long, so the
keyboard has to be very close to your computer or to the outlet where the
iPad charger is plugged in to charge the keyboard's battery.

Also, there doesnt' seem to be an indicator on the iPad that notifies one of
the battery status. The status bar across the top of the screen shows
bluetooth connected but no battery indicator.

On another subject, Several have talked about using the Pages program. I
haven't gotten that app, but I plan to do so. In the meantime, I am using a
free app called IA Writer. I'm still experimenting with it, but it works
well with VoiceOver and can be used in conjunction with Dropbox and iCloud.
Files can also be stored on your IOS device.

Files can be exported as plain text, email attachments or sent to a printer.

I wrote a short test file and sent it to my work email. It worked like a
charm, and when I checked, there was the attached file in plain text format.
There is also a way of sending a formatted file, but I haven't tried that
option yet.

I also believe that IA Writer has a spell checker, but I haven't ben able to
find it.

Anyway, I am continuing to experiment with the iPad and apps, and am enjoying
it very much.

Sincerely,

Liz Campbell

Perhaps it only does it with headsets, and not bt keyboards. I suppose it

I am typing. I can use the onscreen keyboard pretty well, in fact,
better than on the iPhone, but I like the bt keyboard for quickly typing
emails, notes, and so forth.

The battery life is quite good, as the documentation says the battery
will last for six months based on using the iPad for two hours every
day. There are two shortcomings involving the micro USB cable and the
batttery indicator. First, the cable is approximately six inches long,
so the keyboard has to be very close to your computer or to the outlet
where the iPad charger is plugged in to charge the keyboard's battery.

Also, there doesnt' seem to be an indicator on the iPad that notifies
one of the battery status. The status bar across the top of the screen
shows bluetooth connected but no battery indicator.

On another subject, Several have talked about using the Pages program. I
haven't gotten that app, but I plan to do so. In the meantime, I am
using a free app called IA Writer. I'm still experimenting with it, but
it works well with VoiceOver and can be used in conjunction with Dropbox
and iCloud. Files can also be stored on your IOS device.

Files can be exported as plain text, email attachments or sent to a printer.

I wrote a short test file and sent it to my work email. It worked like a
charm, and when I checked, there was the attached file in plain text
format. There is also a way of sending a formatted file, but I haven't
tried that option yet.

I also believe that IA Writer has a spell checker, but I haven't ben
able to find it.

Anyway, I am continuing to experiment with the iPad and apps, and am
enjoying it very much.

Sincerely,

Liz Campbell

RE: Logitech keyboard cover for the iPad, etc.

2012-10-31 Thread Daniel Miller
Unfortunately, iOS doesn't report battery indicators for any Bluetooth
devices, except the apple Bluetooth headset, that I don't even think is in
production anymore. I really, really wish it would, however.

Subject: Logitech keyboard cover for the iPad, etc.

Hello all,

Sorry if this has been posted previously, but I wanted to mention that I use
the Logitech ultrathin keyboard cover for the iPad,and I've been very happy
with it.

First, the keyboard is quite easy to use and has a comfortable feel wehn I
am typing. I can use the onscreen keyboard pretty well, in fact, better than
on the iPhone, but I like the bt keyboard for quickly typing emails, notes,
and so forth.

indicator. First, the cable is approximately six inches long, so the

iPad charger is plugged in to charge the keyboard's battery.

the battery status. The status bar across the top of the screen shows
