Re: Suggestions Needed Concerning How to accumulate gold in Solara Game, and Questions to anyone who has completed the Game

2013-09-22 Thread Gary Petraccaro
That's not true for my version. In mine, the gold accumulates for any
particular shop until that shop has filled it's quota, at which time the
accumulation for that shop or group of shops stops. That means that if you
have three shops of a type and they say 100 gold every 30 minutes, they
don't make more gold after 30 minutes. If you collect their gold, they
start all over again. If a shop goes for 8 hours, it stops after 8 hours.

Hi, once you have selected say for example jagged obsidian, it will stay
selected until you change it. Yes the gold keeps accumulating automatically.
Now here is something. One of you said that if you take a duplicate out the
other one seems to go out as well. This does not happen with me. I have
heard or read that there may be more than one addition of the game. Perhaps
that has something to do with all of this. Interesting. I am sorry that I am
not a very good explainer. About the gold yes, it does keep accumulating
automatically and as long as you do not select the gold it will keep
mounting up until he gets to a certain limit I believe this depends on how
many shops you have and how much gold you can accumulate. If you keep
flicking the button and it doesn't continue to add up the number that is
there then you know you were at your limit. God bless, Wren

Here's a way I found to accumulate gold. Go to build and open it. Now go

amount of gold from each shop added on. I bought the jagged obsidian which
gives gold plus 75 percent from each shop. Whatever button you select just

Chris, A question. I am at 22. If I want to leave one of each hero at 22
and the others at 21, all is well. However, if you then get to 23 it will
take food and gold to get those at 21 to 23. Do half of your heroes stay

Hi everyone I really love this game. Once the wonderful developers added the
manage shops button, things are much easier. When starting the game you
don't realize that the castle expantions will stop around the 30 level mark
from what I can see the castle is 12 by 24 when I got to this state I had to
delete a lot of little shops that were giving me small amounts of gold and
build the bigger ones. That is the whole idea I think that you will destroy
smaller shops as you progress through the game to make room for the bigger
ones. Some times you half to just camp out and accumulate gold so that you
can use at the later more expensive levels and believe me they get really
expensive both for building shops and training heros. I have but esper to
help me along and to support the developers but you don't need to, you can
play the game all the way through with pretty good results. My only beef
with this fantastic otherwise game is I feel the arena is very unfair.
I have a funny feeling that if you manage to win first place in the arena
more then two times no matter what you do it will not let you even get close
to first place.
I have one in the early stages twice and ever since then even if I up levels
during the week to be the same with other players, even if I change my hero
combinations, even if I battle castles with heros at least three levels down
from me a lot of the times I get a big fat defeat. There have been times
where I did nothing no building no questing no nothing accept fight in the
arena we are talking about approx. 400 fights in a day and no results accept
for defeats. I think that's a little unfair because yes everyone should win
and have a chance but concoring a game with constant play compaired to
someone who may play only once a week makes the game sort of rigged lol,
don't get me wrong I'm not complaining as much as it sounds like I am just
sharing my observations. I otherwise love the game and I can't wait for the
developers to come out with solara 2 or some other game. I hope when I
reach level 50 there will be an option to restart the game, but I have no
idea I'm on level 40.
Anyhow sorry for the long message but just wanted to share my thoughts.

Exactly your right. I find some times the battle button gives me a few more
wins then other times the chalange a close rival gives me more wins, I guess
it depends on what the computer wants to do no matter what we want. The
other thing that baffles me is even if I use the skip button to go through
the fights faster there are some people that I noticed may go up even more
then a 100 points in a few minutes. I too have gone up quite a bit in a few
minutes when using the skip button and getting ratings like +20 but I've
noticed on the first day of battles people going up 1000 points in a very
short amount of time, how do they do it? Why aren't they getting defeats?
Meaning let's say for argument sake someone has a max food of 1000 food and
they keep clicking skip, obviously they are going to move up very quickly
all most like magic but the question remains why aren't they getting
defeats? I've done the same thing by moving really quickly but when I'm
getting victory after victory all of a sudden I'm getting like 5 or 6
defeats in a row and all my hard work goes for nothing. Hope my rambling
makes sense but the truth of the matter is I'm stumped and really trying to
figure it out.

for defeats. I think that's a little unfair because yes everyone should win
and have a chance but concoring a game with constant play compaired to
someone who may play only once a week makes the game sort of rigged lol,
don't get me wrong I'm not complaining as much as it sounds like I am just
sharing my observations. I otherwise love the game and I can't wait for
the
developers to come out with solara 2 or some other game. I hope when I
reach level 50 there will be an option to restart the game, but I have no
idea I'm on level 40.
Anyhow sorry for the long message but just wanted to share my thoughts.

Hello Regina,

Yes, you are correct.
For example, I have two knights. One knight will be at level 33, and the
other I will keep at level 32.

Now, I personally do not use both of one type of hero, like knights, very
much at all.
But if that time does arise, and I need both knights in a quest, then I
would go ahead and upgrade my other knight from 32 to 33 like the other one.

As also stated, if I am not going to be in a quest, and my food is maxed out
and is just sitting there, I will use it to upgrade some of my heroes if I
can.

One other note:
When building and adding to your castle, I would add food shops as much as
you can. Don't worry, food shops also produce gold on top of helping your
food out. Food shops adds to the maximum food you can have.
For example, your food might currently say 500/500 food. The scecond number
is the maximum amount of food you can have, and the first number is the
amount of food you do have.
Say you buy a food shop that says, plus 80 max food. This means that it
would increase your second number of max food from 500 to 580.
Once this food shop is built, you will see your second number increase from
500 to 580. That now means you can now have a maximum of 580 food. If you
have to use food to upgrade your heroes on certain levels, then increasing
your maximum food can really help you later on in the game.

Hope all of this helps!

Chris, A question. I am at 22. If I want to leave one of each hero at 22 and
the others at 21, all is well. However, if you then get to 23 it will take
food and gold to get those at 21 to 23. Do half of your heroes stay just a
step below? I thought of doing this, but didn't know if I would need 2 of
one hero. Really struggling with understanding how to know who fights who
and which heros to use. I think that is why I never have gotten very high in
the arena as even if the fight is with someone maybe at number 5 and most of
their heroes are below my level I will invariably lose.

I am assuming that everybody has their own system of how to earn more gold
and food to help increase their heroes to the next level.
I was at first trying to increase all of my heroes to my current level, and
it did start to become overwhelming and where it took a long time to earn
the gold or food to do so.
So I decided that something had to be done differently, so there is not so

I noticed that:
For one of my heroes to go to an even level, like 32, it cost me gold.
For one of my heroes to go to an odd level, like 33, it cost me food.

So I decided that since for the most part, I only use one of each type of a

So I keep one of each hero up to the current level, and the other hero of

For example, I am on level 33, so for footman, Rusty is level 33, and Cecil
is level 32.

In the end, this means that when I move my heroes up to the next level, half
will require gold, and half will require food to get it done.
This does not put all of the strain on just my gold, or just my food. It
kind of splits it between them.

Now, when a quest requires me to use two of the same type of hero, I will

But this does not actually happen that much for me.

Now, a couple of other things I do to help out the process:
* The first four heroes I upgrade to the next level are the four heroes I
use in the first quest for that level. This allows me to upgrade my heroes,

* I have slowed down my play and given my shops a little time to replenish
my gold. It takes me longer to reach the next level this way, but why be in
a rush? Who am I racing, smiles?
* I have now started keeping me a minimum of gold in the bank. For example,
Once I saved a hundred thousand dollars, I never went below that. And as
time goes I just increase my minimum of gold I keep in the bank. The reason
I do this is because I know that upgrading heroes is going to become more
and more costly, and so I am preparing for that now. At this moment, I am
not able to add more levels to my castle, which would allow me to add more

Hi all,
Do you have duplicate shops in your castles? I was not sure this would be a
fair way to play the game.

Here's a way I found to accumulate gold. Go to build and open it. Now go to
upgrades. In upgrades there are tabs to collect gold plus a certain amount of
gold from each shomp added on. I bought the jagged obsidian which gives gold
plus 75 percent from each shop. Whatever button you select just keep it
selected, and your gold will keep accumulating.

Re: Suggestions Needed Concerning How to accumulate gold in Solara Game, and Questions to anyone who has completed the Game

2013-09-16 Thread Chris Chaffin

Hello,

First and foremost, is your castle totally full of buildings, i.e. shops and
food buildings?
My castle is full to its compacity with buildings, letting me earn the most
in gold and food as I can.

I am assuming that everybody has their own system of how to earn more gold
and food to help increase their heroes to the next level.
I was at first trying to increase all of my heroes to my current level, and
it did start to become overwhelming and where it took a long time to earn
the gold or food to do so.
So I decided that something had to be done differently, so there is not so
much strain on my gold or food when trying to go to the next level.

So this is what I personally did.

I noticed that:
For one of my heroes to go to an even level, like 32, it cost me gold.
For one of my heroes to go to an odd level, like 33, it cost me food.

So I decided that since for the most part, I only use one of each type of a
hero, like footman or archer, for a quest, there was no need to have both of
them up to the current level unless a quest required it.
So I keep one of each hero up to the current level, and the other hero of
each type one level below.
For example, I am on level 33, so for footman, Rusty is level 33, and Cecil

In the end, this means that when I move my heroes up to the next level, half
will require gold, and half will require food to get it done.
This does not put all of the strain on just my gold, or just my food. It
kind of splits it between them.

Now, when a quest requires me to use two of the same type of hero, I will
then at that time upgrade the other hero to the current level also.

But this does not actually happen that much for me.

Now, a couple of other things I do to help out the process:
* The first four heroes I upgrade to the next level are the four heroes I
use in the first quest for that level. This allows me to upgrade my heroes,
plus continue toward the next level at the same time.
* I have slowed down my play and given my shops a little time to replenish
my gold. It takes me longer to reach the next level this way, but why be in

At this moment, I am
not able to add more levels to my castle, which would allow me to add more
shops, giving me more gold coming in, so since my income is not increasing,
but my expenses are, it is only smart to prepare for that extra cost ahead
of time, smiles!

I hope all of this can be helpful.

2013-09-16 Thread Regina Alvarado
Chris, A question. I am at 22. If I want to leave one of each hero at 22 and
the others at 21, all is well. However, if you then get to 23 it will take food
and gold to get those at 21 to 23. Do half of your heroes stay just a step
below? I thought of doing this, but didn't know if I would need 2 of one hero.
Really struggling with understanding how to know who fights who and which heros
to use. I think that is why I never have gotten very high in the arena as even
if the fight is with someone maybe at number 5 and most of their heroes are
below my level I will invariably lose.

Hello,

First and foremost, is your castle totally full of buildings, i.e. shops and

My castle is full to its compacity with buildings, letting me earn the most in
gold and food as I can.

I am assuming that everybody has their own system of how to earn more gold and
food to help increase their heroes to the next level.
I was at first trying to increase all of my heroes to my current level, and it
did start to become overwhelming and where it took a long time to earn the gold
or food to do so.
So I decided that something had to be done differently, so there is not so much
strain on my gold or food when trying to go to the next level.

So I keep one of each hero up to the current level, and the other hero of each
type one level below.
For example, I am on level 33, so for footman, Rusty is level 33, and Cecil is
level 32.

In the end, this means that when I move my heroes up to the next level, half
will require gold, and half will require food to get it done.
This does not put all of the strain on just my gold, or just my food. It kind
of splits it between them.

Now, when a quest requires me to use two of the same type of hero, I will then
at that time upgrade the other hero to the current level also.
But this does not actually happen that much for me.

Now, a couple of other things I do to help out the process:
* The first four heroes I upgrade to the next level are the four heroes I use
in the first quest for that level. This allows me to upgrade my heroes, plus
continue toward the next level at the same time.
* I have slowed down my play and given my shops a little time to replenish my
gold. It takes me longer to reach the next level this way, but why be in a
rush? Who am I racing, smiles?
* I have now started keeping me a minimum of gold in the bank. For example,
Once I saved a hundred thousand dollars, I never went below that. And as time
goes I just increase my minimum of gold I keep in the bank. The reason I do
this is because I know that upgrading heroes is going to become more and more
costly, and so I am preparing for that now. At this moment, I am not able to
add more levels to my castle, which would allow me to add more shops, giving me
more gold coming in, so since my income is not increasing, but my expenses are,
it is only smart to prepare for that extra cost ahead of time, smiles!

I hope all of this can be helpful.

I also do a lot of what Chris suggests. One thing to keep in mind though
is that your food will cap out at your maximum capacity and then just
sit there. If I know I won't be adventuring for a while, I spend
whatever food I can on training. I use this time to train those heroes
waiting on food to a higher level. Note that if I'm thinking I might be
adventuring soon, I save my food for that, assuming I have enough heroes
at the current level to go adventuring.

I build new shops when I can, and try to pick ones that will yield a lot of

You can't accumulate gold. You buy it. I don't bother. I play till I run
out of things, let the game fill up then play again. It lets you get espr
and anything else you need except for gold that way.

LOL. Sorry. Put two games together. When I get gold in Solara, I do quests
and do the enlargement ones so that I can build shops to get gold. I
alternate between training and building. My people are between levels 18

Re: Suggestions Needed Concerning How to accumulate gold in Solara Game, and Questions to anyone who has completed the Game

2013-09-16 Thread Jack Conti
the funny think here is that i never paid with food always gold, at
level 50 and i never understood this smile i only trained a
selected group all the way. in the arena i have lost battles with
four feroes at level 50 to folks at level 47 or so. go figure.

At 05:03 PM 9/16/2013, you wrote:

Hello,

First and foremost, is your castle totally full of buildings, i.e.
shops and food buildings?
My castle is full to its compacity with buildings, letting me earn
the most in gold and food as I can.

I am assuming that everybody has their own system of how to earn
more gold and food to help increase their heroes to the next level.
I was at first trying to increase all of my heroes to my current
level, and it did start to become overwhelming and where it took a
long time to earn the gold or food to do so.
So I decided that something had to be done differently, so there is
not so much strain on my gold or food when trying to go to the next level.

So this is what I personally did.

I noticed that:
For one of my heroes to go to an even level, like 32, it cost me gold.
For one of my heroes to go to an odd level, like 33, it cost me food.

So I decided that since for the most part, I only use one of each
type of a hero, like footman or archer, for a quest, there was no
need to have both of them up to the current level unless a quest required it.
So I keep one of each hero up to the current level, and the other
hero of each type one level below.
For example, I am on level 33, so for footman, Rusty is level 33,
and Cecil is level 32.

In the end, this means that when I move my heroes up to the next
level, half will require gold, and half will require food to get it done.
This does not put all of the strain on just my gold, or just my
food. It kind of splits it between them.

Now, when a quest requires me to use two of the same type of hero, I
will then at that time upgrade the other hero to the current level also.

But this does not actually happen that much for me.

Now, a couple of other things I do to help out the process:
* The first four heroes I upgrade to the next level are the four
heroes I use in the first quest for that level. This allows me to
upgrade my heroes, plus continue toward the next level at the same time.
* I have slowed down my play and given my shops a little time to
replenish my gold. It takes me longer to reach the next level this
way, but why be in a rush? Who am I racing, smiles?
* I have now started keeping me a minimum of gold in the bank. For
example, Once I saved a hundred thousand dollars, I never went below
that. And as time goes I just increase my minimum of gold I keep in
the bank. The reason I do this is because I know that upgrading
heroes is going to become more and more costly, and so I am
preparing for that now. At this moment, I am not able to add more
levels to my castle, which would allow me to add more shops, giving
me more gold coming in, so since my income is not increasing, but my
expenses are, it is only smart to prepare for that extra cost ahead
of time, smiles!

I hope all of this can be helpful.

Chris Chaffin

Re: Suggestions Needed Concerning How to accumulate gold in Solara Game, and Questions to anyone who has completed the Game

2013-09-16 Thread Christopher Chaltain
Yeah, I've heard there are a couple of different variations of the game
out there, and one is where you always train with gold. For me, it
alternated between gold and food.

I've lost battles in the arena to heroes at lower levels too. sometimes
it comes down to hero placement and the make up of your party and
sometimes there's just an element of randomness in the whole thing.

On 09/16/2013 07:32 PM, Jack Conti wrote:

the funny think here is that i never paid with food always gold, at
level 50 and i never understood this smile i only trained a selected

At 05:03 PM 9/16/2013, you wrote:

Hello,

First and foremost, is your castle totally full of buildings, i.e.
shops and food buildings?
My castle is full to its compacity with buildings, letting me earn the
most in gold and food as I can.

I am assuming that everybody has their own system of how to earn more
gold and food to help increase their heroes to the next level.
I was at first trying to increase all of my heroes to my current
level, and it did start to become overwhelming and where it took a
long time to earn the gold or food to do so.
So I decided that something had to be done differently, so there is
not so much strain on my gold or food when trying to go to the next
level.
So this is what I personally did.

I noticed that:
For one of my heroes to go to an even level, like 32, it cost me gold.
For one of my heroes to go to an odd level, like 33, it cost me food.

So I decided that since for the most part, I only use one of each type
of a hero, like footman or archer, for a quest, there was no need to
have both of them up to the current level unless a quest required it.
So I keep one of each hero up to the current level, and the other hero
of each type one level below.
For example, I am on level 33, so for footman, Rusty is level 33, and
Cecil is level 32.

In the end, this means that when I move my heroes up to the next
level, half will require gold, and half will require food to get it done.
This does not put all of the strain on just my gold, or just my food.

For
example, Once I saved a hundred thousand dollars, I never went below
that. And as time goes I just increase my minimum of gold I keep in
the bank. The reason I do this is because I know that upgrading
heroes is going to become more and more costly, and so I am preparing
for that now. At this moment, I am not able to add more levels to my
castle, which would allow me to add more shops, giving me more gold
coming in, so since my income is not increasing, but my expenses are,
it is only smart to prepare for that extra cost ahead of time, smiles!

I hope all of this can be helpful.
