Not Transferring, was Re: Transferring music from old to new phone?

2020-05-20 Thread Arnold Schmidt
Being that I now have ITunes Match, and that I stream Apple Music, can I
specificly not transfer the music from this phone to a new one when updating
phone to phone? Can I specify what I want transferred, or is it all or nothing?
If so, I almost could get by with a 64 gig model, although I will probably
still get the 128 model. Thanks for any information.

RE: transferring music from ipod touch

2015-01-08 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi,

No, you can’t transfer directly. You would have to use a program like Copy
Trans which is not free and has accessibility challenges as well. It would be
easiest if somebody could give you the music that is on the iPod on a USB stick
since it’s probably on somebody’s computer and was transferred to the iPod
using iTunes. You could then add the music to your own iTunes library and sync
it to your phone.

RE: transferring music from ipod touch

2015-01-06 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Via iTunes would be the short answer. It would help if you gave a bit more
information especially how the music on your iPhone ended up on your iPhone
since really the only way to get it there if it’s not jailbroken would have
been with iTunes or if you bought the music on your phone from iTunes and it
downloaded to your phone. If that is the case and you sign in to iTunes with
the same Apple Id then that music would be available to be downloaded to your
iPod Touch as well.

RE: Transferring Music to iPhone

2014-07-19 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Scott,

Did you ever get this problem resolved or did you receive any replies from
anyone on the list?

Generally speaking, I use Windows Media player to rip albums but it may be a
better idea to use iTunes to rip them.

In the future, should you use iTunes, set your media importer to MP3. You
can do this from within the Preferences area of iTunes.

Generally speaking, whenever I import an album into iTunes, the first thing
I do is to add all of its songs to a new Playlist. I find that Playlists
are easier to control and manipulate. For example, I like all of the songs
that I rip from an old album I've had for 20 years to be in the same play
order as they were on the CD. Many times I find that I must manually
rearrange songs on a playlist to get this to happen. It's a bit
obsessive-compulsive, I know, but it matters to me.

Hi,
I just ripped seven albums to MP3, using Windows Media Player. I put all of
the MP3 files in a single folder and then imported that folder into my
iTunes library. I then synced my phone with iTunes. Only 3 of the 7 albums
showed up on my phone, even though they all show up In iTunes. I don't do
this type of thing very often (I avoid iTunes when possible) so I have no
idea what I may be doing wrong. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi Reg,

As long as your brother has the songs on his computer he could just give
them to you on a USB stick. You would then copy them into your Music folder
in iTunes Media, add the folder to your library and then you can select the
songs to sync to your device.

Re: Transferring music from an iPad to a Windows pc

2014-03-17 Thread Steve
You can use copytrans manager. That's what I did, but you have to pay for
the program. I think there might be a limited free trial that you can try,
I can't remember for sure.

Subject: Transferring music from an iPad to a Windows pc

Hi all,

My dad formatted his Windows pc and did not backup his iTunes library. He
has some music that has been transferred to his iPad. Can we get it on to
the pc?

It appears to be a difficult process. I did find a tool at
http://www.transphone.net/ios-transfer/ipad-music-to-computer.html

but cannot be sure if the tool is legitimate.

2014-03-17 Thread John Diakogeorgiou
You don't need to be able to see to use this program. I had the same
thing happen to me a while back and it worked just fine.

Hi,
If your Dad is sighted, he can get his music quickly using

CopyTrans
This is not CopyTrans manager, this is just Copy
trans.
get the demo and try it out.

The easy solution to transfer songs, videos, apps, playlists etc from
iPad, iPod and iPhone to PC and iTunes.

Using the "Smart Backup" feature, you will fill up your iTunes library
with one click only and keep it a 100% free from duplicates. If you wish
to back up your iPhone or iPod to PC, to use individual folder
structures or to copy only specific files to iTunes, go for the "Manual
Backup".

CopyTrans supports all iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch models and was
designed for Windows 7, 8, Vista and XP.

Transfers iPhone music, videos, films, apps, pdfs, books, podcats,
playlists, ratings and more.

 Safety and Security

CopyTrans is renowned as a secure and stable application that is, like
all other CopyTrans programs, free from ad, spy or malware.
