RE: Wells Fargo

2013-12-20 Thread Eileen Misrahi
Hi,

I am hoping that you have a fairly current backup either in the cloud or on
your computer. I would roll it back to a time in place where Wells Fargo
worked for you. I haven't updated and I don't have any problems with the
Wells Fargo app on my iPhone4. Is that the only problem you are having
regarding accessibility. I thought I had the online toll-free number handy,
but I don't. Here is the main number for Wells Fargo, so they can direct you
to the online department.

1.800.869.3557

Hopefully, they can assist you and you can inform them the problems you are
having. Good luck.

Best,

Eileen

Re: Wells fargo

2013-12-20 Thread Donna
I use the Wells Fargo app. Where its accessibility with the latest update is
lacking. The app is still usable. With beep is the users sign that a
letter/number has been entered. The app also doesn't indicate when the edit
field has been selected. So when voiceover says username just double tap and
start entering your username. Do the same for entering the password.

Hopefully there will be an update soon to fix the accessibility.

Hope this explaination made sense and was helpful.

Re: Wells fargo

2013-12-20 Thread Donna
EXCUSE ME Robert! I take offense of being called a liar I use the Wells
Fargo app on most days at least once. Being that I can't see to read the
sales receipt, I check my account to make sure that the checkout clerk
didn't try anything funny and tell me one thing for my total purchase, but
enter something else.

To confirm for you that I do use the most up-to-date Wells Fargo app, when
you launch the app, swiping from left to right from the top of the screen (I
use my iPhone) you will hear "Hamburger Menu 36 x 36!

If you keep swiping down the screen to you get to enter your online
username, double tap, then start entering your username, you should hear the
letters being entered followed by a sound if you have keyboard sounds turned
on. Trail your finger down the screen til you hear online password, double
tap, then start entering your password. You should hear the same as when
entering your online username.

Maybe you should try uninstalling the app and reinstalling the app.

Yes, I will agree the previous version of the app was a bit easier to
navigate, but this version can be worked with.

Re: Wells fargo

Hi all, I also use the WellsFargo app. There is an option in the new updated
version that says save username and I think there is one for save password
those options need to be either turned off or turned on I find that even though
it doesn't make much of a sound when you enter in the information it does take
and you can go ahead and get to the entries you need. I am not saying this
works for everyone but this has worked for me. It is deceiving because you
think that the letters are not going in, but they really do seem to be going
where they're supposed to be, because when I go to my login I did get all of my
information. Again I'm not saying this works for everyone I'm just saying that
it does work for me. Everyone please have a very Merry Christmas. God bless,

Yes, always is good take a back up in our computers. iCloude is good for
data that could be in some cases, difficult to store locally, like for
example if I am traveling and I need to restore my iPhone, then I will get
my contacts stored in iCloude. But in the case of apps, the apps are not
stored in iCloude, it just download to our iDevices the apps that we have
registered in our account, and them will be downloaded from the appStore. Of
course that those apps will be the apps that are in the AppStore like the
recent updates. In the case of wells fargo, our problem is with the last
version, so this solution is not the best.
Even though, I think that is possible to get a back up in our computer, and
use iCloude at the same time, right?

Hello,

I was in a local branch this morning on another business matter. Before
leaving, I demonstrated the problem to the banker stating that I haven't
upgraded, but the edit fields are not present and other blind individuals
can't log in, or know that one is entering their user name and password
to sign in. Since I still have the edit fields, I was able to show him
what is missing. I have an appointment on Monday, so hopefully he will
have some info for me. I will post again at that time.

one more question.
If for example, X person , Mr. X. has his backUp in iCloude, and he starts
to takes problems with the wells fargo. You know, the accessibility problems
that this app is getting.
Of course if he try to download the wells fargo from iCloude, the app, will
be downloaded from the appStore, and the problem will be back to the iPhone
of Mr. X.
Now, If Mr. X comes back to his home, and he modify the settings in his
iPhone and computer to create a back up of his iPhone in his computer, then
he will get the the back up of the wells fargo app in his computer, but this
app will be the app with the problem. Right?

But in the directory;
D:\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications\ is where
iTunes store the apps when we have the back up in our computer. What happen
if Mr X, find the the wells fargo app, delete it, then somebody from the
list send by email the file Wells Fargo 2.6.1.ipa, who is the older version,
the accessible app of wells fargo, and Mr. X copy this app in the directory
where the apps are stored?
If Mr. X. after copy this file in the directory, and delete the app wells
fargo in his iPhone, later connect his iPhone to the iTunes, and transfer
the wells fargo app to his iPhone, then is possible that he will get the
accessible version of wells fargo app in his iPhone?

If one has a back up on their computer of a previous version, then the answer
is yes. What one would need to do first is to delete the current version from
the phone. I usually make sure in iTunes that I have turned off "automatic
syncing" in the iTunes preferences. This is so I don't mess up. Next, I connect
my phone and highlight my device, tab to apps, check it with spacebar and then
tab to sync apps and check that. Tab over until you find the list table of all
your apps. You will need to arrow down until you hear Wells Fargo. This will be
unchecked. Check it with the spacebar. Tap to either the sync button (I think)
and enter on it. This will restore the previous version of Wells Fargo back on
the phone. HTH.

well, in my example I have a different situation.
1. Mr. X has his backUp in iCloude. So he has not backUp in his computer.
2. After lunch, Mr. X changed his mind, and he changed the iTunes
configuration, to create a backUp in his computer, and no more in iCloude.
3. The whole apps in his iPhone, and contact info, will be stored now in his

is where iTunes stored the apps installed in the Mr. X iPhone.
5. Now Mr. X delete the wells fargo app in his iPhone.
6. Mr. X has a friend, who sent to him the file
Wells Fargo 2.6.1.ipa
this is the last wells fargo app accessible.
7. Now Mr. X, connect his iPhone to his computer and run iTunes.
8. when Mr. X select apps, then he select or check wells fargo in the list
of app available for his iPhone, and then he click sink.

My question is, in this case, the accessible version of wells fargo app will
be installed in his iPhone?

Hello,

I'm not an expert about this senerio, but I believe if Mr. X. is not signed
into your account or someone else that has the accessible version backed up, I
don't think Mr. X. will be able to put the previous app on his phone. I don't
think you can copy/paste someone else's app into iTunes, but I could be
incorrect. I put out this question to those who are jailbroken on their phones:
Can you install an previous app version that had been purchased from someone
else account and copy/paste onto a jailbreak phone? Unless the previous version
of Wells Fargo was backed up before upgrading, then Mr. X. is out of luck. The
iCloud will only pull from the current app on the app store, as you have
stated. May be others more experience than I can chime in on this topic.

Hi Pablo,

You cannot use an app sent to you by anybody else. Apps are tied to specific
Apple ID's and even free apps cannot be shared. In other words, you cannot
download for example Skype, which is a free app, email the app to me and I
then put it in my mobile applications folder and sync it to my phone.
If this was possible people could get away with sending paid apps to their
friends who could then install or sync them to their device without having
to pay.
Take care,

2013-12-22 Thread Donna
Let's say Mr X has a friend named Mr C. Mr C doesn't have a problem shharing
his iTunes login and password with his best friend. So Mr X deletes the Wells
Fargo app from his iPhone. Mr X best friend Mr C has the accessible version of
the Wells Fargo app backed up. Mr X signs out of his ownApple account on his
iPhone. Mr X then signs into his friend Mr C Apple account using the login
username and password of his best friend Mr C. Mr X goes to the app store from
his iPhone finds the Wells Fargo app from the purchased apps list of his friend
Mr C. Mr X downloads the Wells Fargo app directly onto his iPhone. Once the
download has completed Mr X signs out of his friend Mr C account. Mr X now
signs back into his own Apple account. Mr X should find the accessible Wells
Fargo app among the apps on his iPhone. While smiling Mr X can move the Wells
Fargo app into its place within Mr X chosen folder.

Mr C knows that this will definately work because he and Mrs C does this all
the time. This is their way of having to only pay for the more expensive apps
and share books.

nonono.
Hold on. I am not saying that if Mr. X never had wells fargo app, and Mr.
Sieghard sent to him the wells fargo app, then Mr. X is able to use the
app. Mr. X has to get wells fargo installed, in his account should be
registered wells fargo as an app that he downloaded and installed in his
iPhone. So if he had installed wells fargo app in his iPhone, the last
version, the version that is not accessible pretty well, but he delete it
from his iPhone. Some body else, who has the older version of wells fargo
app, send this file to Mr. X, then he place this file in his iTunes folder,
and sink his iPhone. In his apple account Mr. X has registered wells fargo
app, just he is replacing the version of app in his iPhone. I am not saying
that Mr. X never had installed wells fargo app, He has to got this app in
his iPhone before. Again, I am not saying that some body is sending an app
for free, like you said. I am saying if is possible to replace the version
of an app that the user had stored in their apple account, in iCloude, but
later he needs to downgrade this app using a older version of the app store
somwhere or taht somebody else send it. I think that apple is looking that
Mr. X has the app installed, so is not fraude in this operation.

Hi Pablo,

You cannot use an app sent to you by anybody else. Apps are tied to
specific

Apple ID's and even free apps cannot be shared. In other words, you cannot
download for example Skype, which is a free app, email the app to me and I
then put it in my mobile applications folder and sync it to my phone.
If this was possible people could get away with sending paid apps to their
friends who could then install or sync them to their device without having
to pay.
Take care,

If one has a back up on their computer of a previous version, then the
answer is yes. What one would need to do first is to delete the current
version from the phone. I usually make sure in iTunes that I have turned
off

"automatic syncing" in the iTunes preferences. This is so I don't mess up.
Next, I connect my phone and highlight my device, tab to apps, check it
with

spacebar and then tab to sync apps and check that. Tab over until you find
the list table of all your apps. You will need to arrow down until you
hear

Wells Fargo. This will be unchecked. Check it with the spacebar. Tap to
either the sync button (I think) and enter on it. This will restore the
previous version of Wells Fargo back on the phone. HTH.

That is where the problem is. As far as I'm aware if someone were to send Mr X
a file with the accessible version of Wells Fargo app the file won't work. But
Mr C the friend of Mr X can share his Apple login and password with Mr X and
then Mr X can download the accessible version of the Wells Fargo app from his

Are you using the most recently updatted version? The update was released
within the past 2 weeks. The update does have some accessibility flaws for some
when they are trying to enter their login info. I like you are having no
trouble with the app. I'm using the most recent updated version of the app.

2013-12-24 Thread Paul Hunt
Hello everyone. The Wells Fargo app is broken and it works. It's broken
because the edit boxes for the login and password do not behave in a
standard way. The first indication is that you can't read what you are
entering into your user id field. The second, and more troubling problem is
that you can't use editing functions like cut and paste. I have my passwords
stored in an app called 1password. To access my apps, I copy the password
from 1password and paste it into the password field of my app. This no
longer works. I used to be so grateful when work arounds solved problems for
me and I still use them when necessary. However, I no longer accept work
arounds as permanent solutions. The bottom line is that the app is broken
and does not work even though we can get past the issue with a work around.
I'm also contacting Wells Fargo about this.
In the meantime, I suggest that everyone avoid using the app. Instead, use
the full website, at https://online.wellsfargo.com. This is not a work
around, it's the standard web site. I usually don't use the app and go right

Yes it works. As people have said before, when your double tap in the fields
you will not get feedback that the characters are going in. I will be trying
to find out who to contact within the company to help restore accessibility
to those fields. Thanks.

Hello. To report the issue to Wells Fargo call (800) 956-4442. Enter your

Hi, this won't work. Any time you download any app from the app store,
regardless of whether your friend has the older app on his device and
you are using his account on yours, you will get the latest. People
shouldn't share apple IDs anyway for this.

The only way to revert back to your older app is for you, and only you
to have a back up of it before you upgraded. Then put that back up in
the Mobile Applications folder, re-sync and hope.

Good luck.

Hi Raul,

Thanks for your post. You stated the answer better than I whenI posted a few
days ago (if it got posted). I'm hoping your post on this hypothetical thread
situation can now be put to rest. I am one who backs up my phone to my computer
periodically, so I have a a version that has not become broken as a backup.
This should be a best practice by all, but I sometimes don't do it myself as
regularly as I would like.

Thanks again for your clear explanation of this on the list.

Cheers,

Re: Wells fargo

2013-12-25 Thread Donna

Raul & All,

I beg to differ. My serino was not a hypothetical one. I share an iTunes
account with my 3 youngest children. My 17 year old son has his own iTunes
account. There are a few games that my son and his sister can go head to
head playing using their seperate devices. To keep from having to pay double
for the games, I log off of the combined iTunes account, log into my son's
account and download the game(s) onto my daughter's device, then log out of
my son's account and back into the shared account. Recently, I updated one
of the games that my two children play head to head. My daughter was having
problems with the updated version. My son had not updated the version on his
iPod. So I deleted the game from my daughter's iPad, logged out of our
shared account, logged into my son's account, was able to download the
prevvious version of the game onto my daughter's iPad, log out of my son's
account, log back into our shared account. This also works for books. The
drawback to this is when there is a necessary update to a game or book, I
will have to log out of our shared iTunes account, sign into my son's
account to download the update, then re-log into our shared account. So I
can't see why this wouldn't work with retreiving a previous version of the
Wells Fargo app from a family member or a dear friend.

You have the option to believe me and save money or not and spend extra on
games, books etc when there is a copy already saved to an idevice within
your household.

I choose to save.

  Hello list,

Thought I'd drop a quick note to mention that There's a new Wells Fargo
banking app update. It seems to have fixed the log in issue finally. There were
some other fixes and enhancements outlined in the update, but most importantly,
logging in with Voiceover can once again be done.
