Re: fitbit question

2020-08-21 Thread Dacia Luck
I have the Fitbit inspire, and the Fitbit itself isn’t accessible in the sense
that I cannot see what is on the screen. But the Fitbit app is completely
accessible, which is all that really matters to us who are blind. It also even
shows the battery level of the Fitbit. The only time I needed someone who could
see it was to read me the four digit code when I first set it up. But if
someone else has said you could use some thing like seeing ai to see if it
could read it.

Hi, Everyone,

i have the Charge 4 Fitbit and really like it. However, I was able to pair the
device with my phone, but when I wanted to finish the setup, it wanted me to
put in a 4-digit code that was on the device itself. I had to resort to
sighted assistance for that. Also, when a new update comes out, be it the
device or your phone, you need to have your Fitbit close to the phone in order
for it to receive the new update. I didn't realize this at first because on
the Charge 3 that I had before, I didn't need to do this phase. I'm not trying
to discourage anyone from getting one of these, but now, whenever there's an
update, even for my phone, I make sure I have the Fitbit plugged in near the
phone. Hope this helps.

Re: fitbit question

2020-08-20 Thread pegkane52
Hi,
When I was using a Fitbit that no longer is made, I was able to use the app
most of the time. But as far as I know from talking with friends, even though
the app is accessible, the watch or whatever device the person is wearing is
not accessible. The Apple Watch, is fully accessible, not sure about other
watches.

Re: fitbit question

2020-08-20 Thread Stacy Fuehrer
Hello Paul and everyone.
I have a Fitbit, and the Fitbit app itself is pretty accessible, particularly
if all the person wants to do is track walking steps and such.
Most fit bits are pretty easy to pair with the app…
That is about the extent of what I know on this topic.
Hoping others can chime in with more specifics

Thanks, Peggy. Thatseems to be what everyone is sayibg. But I found a prize
for the auction at our convention. QVC had an echo for $69 with the built-in
speaker. Auctioning these things off is easier than making a basket and blind
peole will use them.

2018-09-08 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I had the Charge HR. Although the HR isn't accessible in and of itself,
you can get information off of it and control it from the corresponding
FitBit app on your smart phone. You can use it to set alarms on your
Charge HR and get information off of the HR, such as how many steps you
took and exercises like walking or running. Last I checked, the latest
Charge cost around $150.
