Re: Mophie Jiice Pack Operation

2014-04-11 Thread Mike Arrigo
I usually keep mine on all the time. So, your phone will show 100
percent battery until the juice pack's battery is used up, then it will
begin to use its own battery. Some users like to use the iphone battery
and switch on the juice pack when the iphone battery needs to recharge,
either way it ends up the same, your battery life is extended quite a bit.

I purchased the Mophie for my iPhone 5S yesterday. The one I bought is
supposed to provide up to 120% additional battery life. At what point
is it optimal to turn on the Mophie for use? I assume I'll never see a
number of 120%? Does this mean that up to 120 percent is available
before the unit requires charging? Thanks.

Re: Mophie Jiice Pack Operation

2014-04-11 Thread Sherrie
According to the manual leaving the phone in charging mode uses up more
battery so you do not get the maximum benefit from the juice pack. I don't
like leaving mine on charge until it is needed because the phone gets rather
warm when charging and I carry it in a pocket.
But either way it is very useful these days with the battery issues that
came with the last upgrade.

According to the digital manual for my mophie juice pack air that I
downloaded the optimum time to turn on the juice pack is when the phone is
down to 20%. It uses up more power to keep it on charge all the time so
you should charge it up and then turn off the juice pack charger again.
I was glad to find the digital manual because the one that came with it is
microscopic according to my husband.

Re: Mophie Jiice Pack Operation

2014-04-10 Thread Paul Hunt
Hello. According to the user guide, to get the most out of the juice pack, let
your IPhone discharge to twenty percent then switch to the charge mode then let
it charge to eighty percent then turn off the charger mode. Repeat the cycle.
