Re: More on my voice dream voice restoration problem
You might want to try backing up your library using iTunes file sharing. The last few times I tried this, it didn't work, but it used to work before, and you might have better luck than I did. That way, when you reinstall, you can just shove the Voice Dream Reader library file back into the app using iTunes file sharing. I don't know what to tell you. I've not had that problem before. Have you tried writing Winston, the developer of VDR? I think you can find his support email in the app. Thanks, Ari > On Sep 26, 2015, at 10:51 AM, Mary Ottenwrote: > > I went to the VoiceStream website, and read in the frequently asked questions > the recommendations for what to do if you were having problems restoring > previously purchased voices. Re: More on my voice dream voice restoration problem
Yes, I just broke down and wrote to Winston. I have now tried to different Wi-Fi networks, albeit they are both on the same router, and my T-Mobile LTE network. I have gotten this far is 89% on a voice. The FAQ says that when that happens and you retry the download, it is supposed to pick up from that point and then proceed. I never get any further. Most of the time I don't get that far. Winston will probably say reinstall., which would be a bummer, since my installation with the iTunes backup had gone so well in all other respects. Oh well. I still have my iPad mini. But not having the voice is here on the phone is kind of annoying. If anybody has any brilliant ideas I'm here. Smile.
