Re: Repeating tap tap see results
Yes, we understand that the photos aren't stored on the phone by default. However, they are stored "indefinitely" on your servers. I just wanted to make it crystal clear that the answer to Carol's question of whether the photos are "all gone" after processing is NO - the photos are stored indefinitely on TapTapSee's servers. This is in stark contrast to e.g. Snapchat's policy, which states "once all recipients have viewed a [photo], we automatically delete the [photo] from our servers". Re: Repeating tap tap see results
We noticed the problem with TapTapSee on the 3G and 3GS. It will be fixed once the next update comes out. We'll be submitting the update to the AppStore this week and then they take some time to review it. However, I just want to let you know that the problem with TapTapSee on the 3G and 3GS devices has been identified and will be resolved promptly. Carol, Correct. The pictures do not get stored in your phone. Hi Johnathan, Because of the speed of the result, I had the definite impression that this was not from crowd sourcing, but rather some sort of built in OCR used by the search engine. I have taken shots of part of newspapers and got the headlines, not the small print though. So I don't think this is limited by databases, not if it is using an OCR program where suitable. I accidentally took a picture wile feeling around the screen. The picture was of my shirt which I always thought was blue. I find out it is not blue, it's green. Carol, The app utilizes an algorithm database, as well as crowdsourcing. You don't need to upload anything into the app itself. Just try it out for yourself, https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/taptapsee/id567635020?mt=8 Also, you can always direct your questions at TapTapSee directly on Twitter: @TapTapSee <http://Twitter.com/TapTapSee>. RE: Repeating tap tap see results
I only wish I got results, only one I have gotten thus far is can but not what it was a can of. However, I seemed to be doomed with camera anything, Looktel Money Reader is the exception it works at 98% of the time. I really wanted this to work since I am here alone so much of time and end up playing guess what this is, especially when someone else put it away or bought it as my husband will, without ever telling me about it until he wants it that is. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Barbara Wilson Sent: Friday, February 01, 2013 11:27 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Repeating tap tap see results No Carol, you just take a pic and the app does a very good job of identifying the object. No Carol, you just take a pic and the app does a very good job of identifying the object. You don't need to do anything else. I think this app is one of the best I have ever downloaded.
