Re: Skype opinions: Mac or iPhone
Yes Sieghard. I was referring to deleting everything in your recent history at once. I know the procedure to delete things one at a time but when you have 94 items like me, it's very time consuming and I don't have the time and the patience to sit at my iPhone for an hour or two and delete every single thing in my recents. It would be nice if the Skype developers showed a bit more love to the iOS platform and let iPhone users delete all recents like you can on the Mac or PC versions. -- Shawn Sent from my white MacBook using SamNet -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group. Answering a Skype Call on iPhone (was RE: Skype opinions: Mac or iPhone)
Hi Mickey, what makes a big difference here, at least for me, is to go into Notification Center, choose "alert Style", and set it to alert, the default is banner. That way, when an incoming call comes in, you get a dialog that pops up with an answer button at the bottom. The one down side to this, and I wish Skype could separate the two somehow, is that you also get an interupting pop-up when someone instant messages you. RE: Skype opinions: Mac or iPhone
Hi Christine, As some others pointed out already, Skype works well on both platforms, I am actually a PC user so I can't comment on the Mac. I use Skype on the PC more than on my iPhone because I am usually working on the computer so having Skype running in the background is no problem. I do prefer to use instant messages on the PC and I would assume it's the same on the Mac because if you do end up sending instant messages back and forth it just is easier and faster to type on the computer although I am not sure how easy it is on a Mac to do stuff like read through previous messages or to review a message that was sent 5 messages ago word by word or maybe to copy and paste text from an IM. Adding a person, for example, I almost prefer to do on the iPhone, it's very simple and straight forward. Re: Skype opinions: Mac or iPhone
Hi, in general, I believe most, if not all apps are easier on the iPhone. This is just do to the scale down nature of the apps. I don't think the skype app for the Mac is hard to use mind you, its just more to learn as far as navigating to get where you want to go. If just wanting to quickly make a skype call, definitely the iPhone app. But, the more complex the task, I lean towards the Mac app. Ricardo Walker rica...@appletothecore.info Twitter:@apple2thecore www.appletothecore.info On Dec 18, 2012, at 6:47 PM, Christine Grassman wrote: > I am finally going to dive in and give Skype a try.
