Once Voiceover focus is on that button you have to do a double tap and hold. You will hear a sound and you can then talk. The important thing is that Whats App acts like an old 2-way radio which means you have to keep holding your finger on the screen as long as you want to record. To enable the modicons go to settings general international. Once there choose keyboards then add new keyboard. Then choose the emoji keyboard after that the keyboard is added. Now go to a text message that you are typing then choose the next keyboard to switch keyboards then choose the emoji you want to insert in to you're message by double tapping it. isaac isaac.heb...@gmail.com Skype gold_wildcat On Apr 30, 2014, at 12:10 PM, Jan Kleinhans jhkleinh...@telkomsa.net wrote: Hi Yes, I did something wrong, and tried your suggestion during the day, and it worked like a charm. Hi Thank you for that. I would have to play with this, as I have never added additional keyboards. I know whatsapp have their own set of emoji as I read this somewhere, but this method must surely work. Thanks a lot. RE: Voice messages with whatsapp
Hi, Find the button that says Voice Message at the bottom right of the screen. You can do a 4-finger tap to go to the last element of the screen and Voiceover will land right on the button or if you find the text field swipe right once. Once Voiceover focus is on that button you have to do a double tap and hold. You will hear a sound and you can then talk. The important thing is that Whats App acts like an old 2-way radio which means you have to keep holding your finger on the screen as long as you want to record. Once you are done lift your finger and recording will stop and your message will automatically be sent. Listen to a little plonk sound, it indicates your message was sent successfully. Once again, double tap and hold your finger on the screen as long as you are speaking, then lift to stop and send the message. Re: Voice messages with whatsapp
Hi I don't know the answer to that one, but would like to know this as well. If I try to do that with voice over being on, the phone thinks you want to do dictation, which of course is no good at all. It does not seem to allow you to record whatever is happening. On the same subject, are there any accessible imodicons that work in whatsapp, so one can know which ones you are inserting in a message? If I look in the apple store I see a few apps with this, but the one for Ios 7 seems to think that one should wait before installing, as updates should be coming along. Re: Voice messages with whatsapp
Hey guys, OK, here's your voice message issue. I use this app all the time You know how to select a contact, right? Go to your text field. Flick to the right of that. It will say voice message. Do a double tap and hold it. You have to do it as a momentary thing. So do a double tap, when you hear a tone, hold the button, and talk. When you're done, then release. Very simple. If you need any help let me know. Cheers, Jed On 4/29/2014 10:45 PM, Jan Kleinhans wrote: Hi I don't know the answer to that one, but would like to know this as well.
