Re: xm radio ap
more depth i.e. variety. On the 60's channel, the next box is Rock / Soul: The next flickable box determines the mix between rock and soul. A higher value is more rock, a lower value is more MoTown. On the 50's channel it is more or less DooWop, on the 70's channel it is more Rock on a higher setting or more disco if you lower the setting. On Willy's Roadhouse, it is a regional box that gives you more Texas swing or less Texas swing. On the 50's and 60's channel, The third box is a tempo box. I didn't play with this but a lower value will give more slower songs, a higher value gives livelier songs. On the 70's channel, it is an era select box, where a lower setting plays more early 70's songs and a higher setting plays more late 70's 1975-79 songs. There are different preferences for a lot of the other channels, i.e. Fifties on 5, 70's on 7, classic vinyl etc. They will have different options. Typically, the option to the left of the flickable box is what you will get with a higher value, and the option to the right is what preference you would select if you flick the value to a lower amount. Hope this gives you a headstart. And, by far, the iPhone is a lot easier and more pleasant to use than the Internet Player. Take my advice, I don't use it anyway. Re: xm radio ap
The xm app isn't real easy to use with voice over, but, with some work, it can be done. You just really have to play with it, but, you can definitely listen to xm using it. I think the trial is good for about thirty days. Hmmm, see the unlabelled arrow button opens those options at the bottom of the screen for me, replacing the five tabs. After that, there's an unlabelled arrow button that appears at the bottom that will bring the five tabs back if you double tap it. I haven't tried any of the completely unlabelled buttons (actually there is only one as the others have the button title words written into the button name... if that makes sense) because I was too chicken. lol -Marc On 5/24/12, Marco Migotti wrote: > The button I am refering to is the one that is completely unlabeled. I am using the sirius app from Sirius Canada and it works fine. I like the tabs at the bottom of the screen and all the buttons are accessible. The channels show the artist and title regardless of whether you are listening to that channel or not. The tricky part for me was that the button in the middle top has dual purposes depending on which side of the button you tap. When you launch the app, it does remember the last channel played, but does not play the channel until you tap the play button. When I searched for the Sirius app, there were two options for downloading apps, one from the u.s and the other from Canada. I wonder what the differences might be and whether or not the sights are interchangeable for loging in. Re: XM radio ap.
Wow that really sucks, sorry to hear it's not accessible in the states. You would think they would streamline the app creation process so that there's one app for everyone that gives you the appropriate channels by verifying your region inside the app. That way it could be accessible for everyone -- at least there's music dock for you guys. -Marc On 5/22/12, Les Kriegler wrote: > Well, the app you referenced is not available in the US App Store. Hmmm, that's very strange. Can you find XM Online+ in the app store? That is really weird, the tabs are all there for me -- it's the xm online plus app you're using? Only difference I can think of is that I am in Canada so maybe it's a different app for us? It can't be an older version because, while I did originall download it from my phone a couple of years ago, it had been deleted and I redownloaded it from the app store just yesterday. Re: XM radio ap.
Hi Mark, Thanks. This will help. When initially launched, the app does open in the Categories List, and that's fine. Once choosing a station, though, and then I open the app, it goes back to the last station played. That's the problem I have. Mark, the biggest problem I have is changing channels. I encounter difficulty, for example, in going to the list of categories, which is my preferred method of navigation through this app. Les On May 21, 2012, at 12:11 PM, Marc Rocheleau wrote: > Really, eh? Re: XM radio ap.
Really, eh? I just downloaded and tried out the official XM app and, aside from some unlabelled buttons that were pretty easy to figure out, the app seems very accessible to me. Sure, it's not as accessible as OOTunes but it's very similar to Music Dock aside from the unlabelled buttons. That's just what I've found anyway -- perhaps I haven't tested it enough. -Marc On 5/21/12, Les Kriegler wrote: > Hi Jennifer, > > Musicdoc is the best app, but it doesn't provide access to any of the sports > play by play broadcasts, nor does it allow access to the Radio Classics > channel which you can now get through Sirius XM's app. Having said that, > the app is still not as accessible as it should be, it's better than it was, > however. Re: XM radio ap.
Hi Jennifer, Musicdoc is the best app, but it doesn't provide access to any of the sports play by play broadcasts, nor does it allow access to the Radio Classics channel which you can now get through Sirius XM's app. Having said that, the app is still not as accessible as it should be, it's better than it was, however. The main problem I experience is activating Categories to change channels. I have to unload VoiceOver, and tap on the screen near the home button, but it's not as reliable as I'd like it to be. So in summary, it can be used, but it's not an easy process. Les On May 20, 2012, at 7:09 PM, Marc Rocheleau wrote: > Hey there, > > I don't know about the xm app itself, but you can get music dock. Hey there, I don't know about the xm app itself, but you can get music dock. This app allows you to listen to xm channels and is accessible if you have an online account. Just search for "Music Dock" in the app store, without the quotations of course. You can also access xm channels on OOTunes by searching for "music dock" in that app as well. I haven't tried it yet but hear it streams better there, provided you have an online account -- it'll ask to enter a username and pass word when going to listen to an xm station from what I've heard.
