airplay with amazon cloud player, impossible?
I finally bought some mp3 albums on Amazon and would love to be able to play these via my iPhone using airplay. But it seems airplay is not an option in the Amazon Cloud Player. Am I missing something or is that really not possible? I know I could synch up through itunes, and get the songs on my phone and play them using airplay via the music app, but what a waste of time and space on the iPhone. Airplay absolutely works with Amazon cloud player and I use it quite frequently. If you are not connected to your wifi the airplay button may be grayed out or if something is not configured correctly with your air play device on the network. What have you tried? I do not think you can get to the air play button in cloud player by swiping. What have you tried and what has been the issue? You can do the following... Go to the app switcher, do a three finger swipe left to right. Twice. There is an air play button, next to the volume control. My device is definitely on the network and there is an airplay button in other apps, so I know it works. So how do you get to airplay. I tried looking in the bottom right corner, where the airplay button is generally found. No joy. And as you said, swiping didn't give me an airplay button. So where is it? Well, I feel pretty stupid, because I just went back in to cloud player and started something playing, intending to try the method that Tom suggested, involving using the app switcher, but I found the airpley button in the cloud player itself, slightly above the corner, on the right side, just where it usually is. I guess I'll blame it on not having had dinner yet when I was trying this the first time.
