great, but not anything which makes it unusable or anything like that.

Hi! All:

I just wanted to ask a question. I had heard word over the list whether it was
this list or Blind techies I’m not sure but I thought I would ask on this list
if anybody knows if there is a problem with the most recent update to Facebook
messenger app for the iPhone. The updated version of the iPhone App for
Facebook messenger is 326.1. Anyone who could reply and let me know would be
appreciated by me. I have not downloaded it yet but it is in my app updates. I
did not want to download it unless I knew for sure that it was OK.

Thank you in advance, and have a great weekend.

Facebook messenger app on iPhone now working correctly:

2017-09-23 Thread Michael McKay
Hello! Folks:

I just thought I would touch base with the members of the list, and let them
know that my previous issue with getting kicked out of Facebook messenger has
now seem to have resolved itself and been corrected. As of about anywhere from
12 noon on today Saturday, September 23, 2017, the issue that I had with being
kicked out of Facebook messenger app on my iPhone 6 seems to have corrected
itself. I am no longer being kicked out and I'm able to use the app quite
adequately. I will let you know if anything changes in the future.

Please I need your help - Facebook messenger app and sounds

2016-09-14 Thread Mária Orovčíková

Hello list,

I apologise in advance if this sound as a sily question.

My friend has Iphone 6 S plus with the latest IOs update.

After updating IOS and Facebook messenger from Apstore, the default
sound for incoming messages on FB messenger has changed from "ding"
sound to the sound which you can hear when you get for example twitter
notifications from regular twitter app for Iphone.

Does anyone have this issue and is there anyway how to get it fixed and
change back to the "ding" sound?

I have Iphone 6 and the "ding" sound on FB messenger is still there.

It might not be a big deal, but she is used to the typical FB messenger
sound. :-); that way she can quickly identify she has a new FB message.

Thank you for your help in advance.

With kind regards,

Maria

RE: A Question About The Facebook Messenger App

2014-08-21 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Lucy,

My apology. I was unclear.

One only needs to install the Facebook Messenger App if one wants to, among
other things apparently, send and receive Facebook messages in iOS.

If you select the Messages tab in the Facebook App, as of now, you will no
longer see any messages from within the app. You can only view your
messages either by going to the Facebook website, itself, or by using the
Facebook Messenger app.

RE: facebook messenger app

2014-05-09 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi,

I'm fairly new to this Facebook and Facebook Messenger thing and I was
actually wondering what the purpose of Facebook Messenger is if you have the
main Facebook app which has a Messenger tab and which seems to be exactly
the same, have the same features and so on.

Anyhow, the only way I can delete anything is to touch or swipe to a
conversation, then double tap and hold on the right side of the screen and
swipe across from right to left. After that if you double tap again
anywhere, the following options pop up:

Archive
Mark as Span
Mark as Unread
Cancel

Not sure why you can only archive and not delete, but this is all I can
figure out.

Regards,
Sieghard

It can't be done but here is how you delete individual messages in a
conversation.

1. Open a message.
2. Find the message you want to delete.
3. Rotor to edit.
4. Flick up with one finger to delete and double tap.

and then flicking to delete.

This is similar activity to that of the Messages app.

Facebook Messenger App

2013-01-28 Thread CD
I'm using the Facebook Messenger app to send private messages to people on
facebook. Is there an easy way to delete the messages rom there once I'm
finished with them? Thanks.

RE: Facebook Messenger App

2013-01-28 Thread Kevin W.
I just tried, and it seems that I'm able to delete messages by: taping once
on the message I want to delete, and switching the rotor to custom actions,
and then flicking to delete.

This is similar activity to that of the Messages app.

The roter only gives me characters, words or headings.
