Re: quicktime not working on website (solution)

2005-05-31 Thread Tobes

Followup post - I did this and it resolved the problem ... however
the problem has manifested again, and I now no longer have the plugin
to delete. *heh heh*

A quick Google search was no help. Any solutions gratefully appreciated.

Cheers,
Tobes.

commentators to be unmatched on the PC platform. Just see how much of a

Just catching up on my email from the last few days.

The above is truer than many people not doing video work realize.

Something I always find cute is when PC people try to dismiss Macs as
just being 'good at video'.

It's like saying a particular car or other is good at 'driving'.

I ask you, if they are 'good' at video which is probably the most
fundamental of all capabilities, what are they bad at then?

It's a funny old world indeed.

Mike Adams offered this tip for connecting Macs and Nokia phones:

I think it is interesting to note that iSync does not support the
Nokia 6820 nor the new Nokia 6822, which are both excellent messaging
phones, since they have a built-in keyboard. Well, I've found that they
can be used with a Mac with a software called "Phone Director".
Although the author of this software only supports the Nokia 6320,
6230i and 7280 and does not officially support the Nokia 6820/6822,
I've been using this software without any problems to synchronize both
a Nokia 6820 and a Nokia 6822 using Bluetooth. It's just too bad that
Nokia does not tell its customers about this solution, and indicates
that this phone is only compatible with Windows.

I have yet to see a Widget which allows resizing of its display by
the user. In Stickies, when you enter enough data which would
cause scrolling, the font size starts to shrink within the window.
There is never any scrolling.

The Wikipaedia widget resizes. Latest version here,

It's a nice widget. I'm looking forward to the one that finds the

eMate Power Supply and Manual

2005-05-31 Thread Reg Whitely

Dear WAMUGgers

I am the proud owner of an eMate 300 which I "won" on eBay, delivered
from Colorado USA by pony express, clippership and camel train. It
came with no power supply or manual, which I was aware of when I bid.
Does anyone know where I could get a suitable charger and manual
(I'll search the web for manual)? It has what appears to be a
standard power charger plug, (not the fat ones from iBooks etc),
rated at 7.5v 1.2A Max.

It's a beaut little greeny bluey aqua beastie, looking like a cross
between a baby clamshell iBook and a sea slug! Exciting!

Reg
