logging onto flickr with Safari ?
Hi, I have been trying to log on to flickr with Safari. When I do all I get is a blank page. Has anyone else had this problem, or more importantly, a solution? My eternal gratitude for any advice. Ian Bacon.

Re: Laser printer bargain
Thanks for the tip on this, guys. I've been needing a new printer for a while and this one fits the bill perfectly. I got mine at Officeworks for $99 with a 3 year extended warranty for an extra $19.80. About 10 or so left at the Galleria Officeworks. There was also a model with a scanner and fax included for .. I think it was $129. Only two left. cheers Jude The Good Guys in Stock Rd. O'Connor are advertising Brother HL2040 laser printers for $99 (less for cash). Pretty cheap. These are an excellent printer for OSX. When I was in there a week or so ago they also had some Cannon colour Ink Jet printers for about 29 bucks. They are not open Sundays. Cheers, Paul.
Re: new to eyetv
Hi Chris, I'm down in Albany, so we are also still waiting for WIN GWN to leap the digital divide! I was similarly confused when looking at the different Eye TV models and got some advice from Daniel Kerr. In the event, I went for the Hybrid model so I could also import analogue video (VHS tapes etc) and I can confirm that it certainly receives both the digital ABC SBS and the analogue GWN WIN - also the analogue ABC SBS - but why would you ;) However, my understanding from Daniel was that the straight digital Eye TV would also receive the analogue channels (I've included the relevant bits of my query Daniel's response below) so you may want to check with him before you give up on the DTT model. On 29/8/06 7:23 PM, Neil Houghton [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi Daniel, Thanks for the personal response. This product certainly sounds interesting! I'm a little confused in one area though - I thought the straight eyeTV DTT was just a digital TV device - and that was basically the difference of the hybrid - that it can handle both digital and analogue. However you say that: (The standard DTT also does both Analogue and Digital channels as well) How does this work? What is the difference of the hybrid, in this case? snip Hi Neil Thanks for the reply. Sorry if my description was a little confusing. Basically, it's like this. At the moment, on a normal TV you get 7,9,10, SBS and ABC (and maybe a few others). Both the eyeTV DTT Stick and eyeTV DTT Hybrid Stick will get these channels. (analogue), but both units will also get more channels, as they get the Digital ones as well. (You get about 22-28 channels in total.) But the difference with the eyeTV DTT Hybrid is that you can run a video signal into and import old footage as well, ie, you can plug in your VCR and anything you've got on tape you can import through the eyeTV as well. It will also let you plug in a game source as well, eg PlayStation etc. These are the major differences. In terms of the channels they both pick up,..these are the same. Does that make a little more sense? snip Kind Regards Daniel --- Daniel Kerr MacWizardry Phone: 0414 795 960 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web: http://www.macwizardry.com.au Hope that helps Neil -- Neil R. After reading through a few of the archived wamug threads and some sites on the web, I think I need the hybrid unit, is that correct? Once I do an auto tune it only pics up the abc and sbs channels, even though I do received very good signals from win and gwn. Do I need to do something else with the software so it picks up these? Thanks for any advice as I am amazed with this technology and can see my vhs recorded being broken up for scrap real soon!! kind regards chris -- The WA Macintosh User Group Mailing List -- Archives - http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/archives.shtml Guidelines - http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/guidelines.shtml Unsubscribe - mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

using Rosetta
Our new intel iMac needs Office 2004 or I guess I could run 2001 with Rosettathat is, if I could find Rosetta and/or any instructions. Has anyone used Rosetta and can give me a few clues. The Mac version of Office 2004 is $249 which is more than the Teachers' discount price for the iMac. Bah! Kev

Re: using Rosetta
Office 2004 runs using Rosetta as well. Microsoft are planning a universal version of Office, but it hasn't happened yet. As Shay says, you won't be able to tell whether an application is running natively or under Rosetta. Its just business as usual. Try Office 2001 and see what happens.
