Before that they were in two sizes - 40GB and 160GB. When it became a superseded product the price dropped from $329 to $199 for the 160GB model. I don't believe they did a 120GB, so if it's new and still sealed, then it's probably the 160GB model. I would think to sell, would be somewhere in the ball park of $130-$150+ as a rough idea. Re: Seeking = $800 Intel Mac
Yep I meant the apple store refurrb shop. Just go to the apple website, choose store and the go almost all the way to the bottom on the left hand side. You get a good product, that may or may not have a blemish, scratch or looks brand new. The best bit is that you still get twelve months warranty from date of purchase and delivery included. I bought an original Imac 17 1.83 almost 5 1/2 years ago and apart from a hard drive issue a couple of months ago that was fixed with a tutorial from Youtube, it is still flying along. the best thing was we paid about $350 less than a new one and still got the same deal. It isn't a free app Paul, there is a one off promotion underway that means existing licence holders can give away a licence that normally costs $40. It is a very highly rated Mac application: http://agilewebsolutions.com/products/1Password/testimonials Reading the reviews is a good way to get a feel for what others think about the security considerations. But in summary you'll find it rated as very secure. Domain Name Registration / Web Hosting
Hello all, I notice that the previous time this was asked was in 2005 so I just wanted to ask the group again for its received wisdom about domain name registration and web hosting. I am looking register a domain name and have the associated web site hosted. The site will be interactive and require an application server such as GlassFish to run JSF, or similar. Mac or Linux box would be preferred. Do you still think it a good idea to register with http://www.netregistry.com.au ? Or are there arguments to register a cheap .com domain name with http://www.namecheap.com ? I don't know if he is still active in the group, but Phillip McGree was recommending http://www.bottle.com.au Does anyone else have an opinion on them? Re: Firefox crashing
Hi Paul No I haven't solved the Firefox problem. Thank you for your suggestion, I have tried that but the problem is I don't understand Terminal or Unix commands. I opened Terminal and got a small window but no ability to paste anything there (paste greyed out). However I tried shell-new command which pasted the command in a new window. Nothing happened when I pressed return so I gave up at that point in case I stuffed something. Currently I am using Safari and have just loaded Chrome to try that.
