Re: Apple TV wifi connection

2017-04-27 Thread Ronda Brown
Hi Marcus,

Go to this link:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204915?cid=tw_sc_pub_all_twofactorauthentication
Two-factor authentication for Apple ID

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to find the "What if I use
two-factor authentication on a device running older software?" section to find
the solution:

"If you use two-factor authentication with devices running older OS versions,
you might be asked to add your six-digit verification code to the end of your
password when signing in. Get your verification code from a trusted device
running iOS 9 or OS X El Capitan, or have it sent to your trusted phone number.
Then type your password followed by the six-digit verification code directly
into the password field."

Cheers,
Ronni

Ah come on Severin, lash out and purchase a new AppleTV 4 you will not be

Re: Apple TV wifi connection

2017-04-27 Thread Marcus F Harris
Hi, I just read this thread because I can’t get my older Apple TV to “connect
to the server”.
When I start it up and try to access content, it recognises my Apple ID but
refuses the valid ppassword.
However I get a text from Apple stating that “a device needs a second level
passcode with 6 numbers
I tried re-entering the password adding on the 6 numbers. No advance.
I went back to the iMac nd it didn’t recognise the ATV, neither did my iPhone
5s.
There never was aproblem like this.
Anyway, I’m wondering whether I should persevere OR chuck it out and buy a new
ATV4?
What do you recommend?
cheers
