Re: Audio from DVD

2006-01-05 Thread subscribe

one i use with great success is mAC3dec

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mac3dec/

use handbrake to RIP the DVD to an MPEG and then run mAC3dec to suck
out the audio to an AIFF - then straight into itunes

DVD Audio Ripper is a free trial (single use) but I believe a crack
can be found, e, allegedly, not that I would do that.

Is there any way of importing the audio only to iTunes?

Don't forget that the WAMUG list is archived. So, be careful what you
write. I think the owners of your DVDs' content (i.e., copyright
holders -- probably large companies) and also the Ripper programme
could choose to pursue the people on this list for illegally
duplicating DVD contents or circumventing software licensing
conditions.

Afternoon,

Wiretap Pro from Ambrosia Software, used to be trial free, but cheap
to purchase at about 20 dollars AU.

Will record anything going through your system, and offers many other
advantages also..

Cheers!

Hi Lloyd,
You could check out Audio Hijack . I understand It lets you record any audio that goes
through your Mac as AIFF.

You can pull any audio from DVD Player. When using Audio Hijack,
you'll either need to use the Start A New File Every X option, or
you'll get one big AIFF file.

With Audio Hijack Pro, you can use the Split button to manually split
the recording into multiple files, as you record.

Cheers,

Ronni
