Re: Mail 5.0 (strange behaviour)
Hi Pedro, I believe that providing the person sending the email has chosen a personal Address Book card using menu item Card = Make This My Card, then if there is a photo on that card it will show up on email for the recipients in Lion Mail.app. If you have an Address Book card for the sender, then the photo on that card will override the photo for their personal Address Book card. Hi CarloIt seems odd that the photo shows up one day and not the next, then shows up again today. I understand the person in question would have a Address book card because of the line of work they do.Also as I mentioned I don't actually have this person in my address book as they are a member of WAMUG and it would be unnecessarycheersPedro(It is a lovely photo though)On 23/08/2011, at 6:18 PM, cm wrote:Hi Pedro,I believe that providing the person sending the email has chosen a personal Address Book card using menu item Card = Make This My Card, then if there is a photo on that card it will show up on email for the recipients in Lion Mail.app.If you have an Address Book card for the sender, then the photo on that card will override the photo for their personal Address Book card.Cheers,CarloOn 2011-08-23, at 16:48, Pedro wrote:Afternoon AllI have finally upgraded the MacBookPro to Lion. Hi Pedro Have a look in Windows menu - Previous Recipients. Does the person show up there. (If it has a picture of a card then it may be hiding somewhere in your address book. If it has nothing to the left, then it may be reading it from there also (perhaps). Yes, I have an iPhone 5 to test here in Australia. Apple sent me one over when I asked nicely,... Lol, ok, no, not really,..hehe,..that's my wishful thinking,...hehe ;) Oh well, hopefully the 5 will show up in a month or two. (according to rumours). Wanted to see if anyone picked it up. Bonus points! (I sent them out for a whole day one day and no one even queried it,..was funny,..lol) OK, so the card is in the list at least. Maybe .mac was downloading it for fun. But yes, I was under the impression also, you had to have the person's VCard (with photo) in the Address Book. Unless it's hiding somewhere, where all the other Previous Recipients hide. Perhaps they hacked your computer and added it, just to perplex you. (and us). :o) Kind regards Daniel On 23/08/2011, at 7:04 PM, Pedro wrote: Hi Daniel iPhone 5 ….. are you serious!
