Hi Walter

You just send an email. I don't understand why
your message did not get through. Try copying the
address below and pasting it into your email in
case there is some hidden character in it.

WAMUG Mailing List wamug@wamug.org.au

If that does not work send me your message I shall send it to the list.

I have sent a copy of this to the list, maybe someone will be able to help?

Re: email address

You may need to check what email address you are sending from. The
list will only accept posts from subscribed email addresses.

For example I have about 4 or 5 email addresses but I only use my .mac
address to subscribe to the list, therefore I can only post to the
list by sending from the .mac account

I'm a little confused. I have posted at least once before, but have

Then I tried to send the question again but it won't go through. The
message is:

it only accepts plain text, and I have sent multipart/alternative
Do I have to select a particular font ?

Best regards

My beef is that I have an iMac G5 which has developed a known
hardware fault ( -110) which requires the logic board to be
replaced (cost to replace is $1,000 + labour). Apple extended it's
warranty to three years to cover this known issue, but I fall
outside of that by a matter of months. The argument I am making is
that as I travel away from home 3 to 6 months each year the machine
has not had normal use over the past 4 years and therefore the
fault has not manifested itself until after the 3 year warranty has
expired.

I had two very nice conversations with Susan Kells who is a
Senior Customer Service Agent for Apple in Australia (by the way,
her service manner was excellent), who admits there is a fault with
the logic board but the best they can offer as my machine is
outside the extended warranty period, is a $125 E-voucher against
the purchase of a new machine. I feel that is a little miserly?!

Any advice or contact details that can be provided so I can plead
my case to a more senior management agent/representative at Apple
would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
David

If you know the person, the *simplest* way of getting their address is
by asking them. If you don't know them, I don't want to know.
