Hello Marcus,
The process of changing Treasurers is taken a very long
time with Bankwest, however anybody who is using auto renewal should not worry,
it may take a while before you receive confirmation from me.

[WAMUG} WAMUG membership payment - Just wait

2021-01-03 Thread topsmith

 Hello Fellow WAMUGGERS,

Firstly, of all on behalf of the committee I wish everyone a happy and
improved 2021 and I hope your Christmas season was spent with loved
ones and companions.
Now for the serious stuff.Over the years, governments have put in
place recommendations and laws regarding the operations of banks
throughout Australia Some of these are to ensure criminal networks,
ponzi schemers and the like do not find and exploit loopholes that
allow them to launder money, and do other financial 'bad' things.
What has this to do with WAMUG membership payments.?  And no, I am
not writing this from a beach in the Caribbean.
This year  Peter Botman, resigned from his role as WAMUG Treasurer.
Bernard Barnwell has stepped in to fill WAMUG's financial shoes.
This meant there had to be changes made to the signatories for the
WAMUG account and that has not been as easy as we expected. However,
on the plus side we are finding how difficult it is to fiddle the
books and diddle WAMUG out of its finances.
So as things are still in process ,would you please refrain from
sending in any payments until further notice. This gives us the
opportunity to ensure the change-over is completed to the bank's
satisfaction.
Kind regards,
Maureen Smith

Hi all,

All will be sorted out in time. I will bring this matter up at the next
committee meeting. It should not be a difficult matter to send a confirmation
email. I was trying to at least respond personally to those who asked directly
on the list but I have not been able to get the list to this point either.

Hi,
With reference to your query on due date for fees, I hope I am not
speaking out of turn in my reply.

I am not a member of the WAMUG Committee so have not had access to the
meetings but it is my belief that the committee is, or is considering, planning
to make the fees payable at the beginning of the calendar year. If that is the
case, then all fee renewals will be due on 1 January 2011. Committee, please
confirm or deny this.

Thank You Very Much Matt Wamug Membership

2007-06-01 Thread Michael Anderson
As a digest recipient, I have benefited greatly over the years from
the generous contributions of Wamug members. Where-ever possible I
prefer to follow the advice given many times since I joined this list
- Check the archive first! So much valuable sharing has been
contained in the archive, its great to be able to reconnect again.

Matt your continuing contributions behind the scenes, and those of
your associates new and old make Wamug a much valued resource, and
as we know not just in WA.

WAMUG Membership
As I rarely attend Wamug meetings, and yet continue to benefit from
video footage of them, I am aware that my membership is probably in
arrears, and I would like to remedy that situation. So a couple of
quick questions.

Does Wamug run on a calendar or financial year membership (to help
prompt me in the future)?

Is PO Box 514, WEMBLEY 6913, still the correct mail address?

Is $30 still the membership fee?

Alternatively can payment be made directly and notified online using
my previous membership number?

If so to what bank account (BSB Ac number)?

Again many thanks Matt.
Kind regards
Mike Anderson

WAMUG Membership Application???

2004-05-05 Thread Rod Blitvich
On January 21 I posted a WAMUG membership form and cheque.
I have not heard anything.
Am I a member?
Will I receive acknowledgement?

ADSL, Buying a Modem and WAMUG Membership

2003-09-15 Thread Kelly Duffy
Hi all,

A couple of queries.

The first being about the WAMUG membership. Someone
from WAMUG, I have forgotten who seeing as I don't
actually know many people from the group and I have
deleted the email, was going to mail me a membership
form seeing as I can't attend meetings and while I
have helped a couple of people out with questions and
problems on this list I feel I have gained far more
from the group than I have ever put over in the last 3
years or thereabouts so I'd like to join up properly.
I haven't recieved a form so if someone could send me
an application form I would appreciate it.

Secondly, I am looking at getting ADSL. I am sick of
having to use a Yahoo email address because I can't
find a dial-up account that I am satisfied with and
probably half the messages I get that are real get
marked as spam and I seem to get marked as spam to
other people too. I'm looking at a basic Westnet plan,
that seems to be in my budget and I haven't heard
anything bad about them as an ISP. Can anyone
recommend ADSL modems, or does anyone have a second
hand one available for a G4 Tower (466 with 516 RAM)
running OS9.2? Also, if anyone knows of other good and
easy on the budget ISPs for ADSL or a similar
connection then I'd appreciate some advice off list.

Thanks everyone,
Kelly
