Helen gets her back up

2008-03-11 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Speaking of Helen, I always thought she got her back up rather easily.
Especially that color show when she was working with the male teacher that came
to the school. Why where they sitting on the same side of the booth at the
diner anyway? She never did answer that when Andy mentioned it. She just shot
back at Andy and got mad at him for asking that. Then they made up and kissed.
But, I still want to know, why did they sit together on the same side of the
booth?
It's Helen Crump-C-R-U-M-P!

Lost Episode

2008-03-11 Thread jworsham
Hal asked if there were any lost episode of TAGS that might be good for his
community theatre group to use. Well, there is one lost episode that was for
unknown reasons never filmed. It was called The Wandering Minstrel and was
written for the 1962-63 season. The entire script can be found in Richard
Kelly's excellent book, The Andy Griffith Show (1981, John F. Blair Publisher).
It's an interesting story of a character who visits Mayberry frequently and
Andy gets him to settle down and take a real job in town, only to discover that
his happiness is tied to his wandering spirit.

It would be a real treat to see this lost treasure brought to life by a theatre
group!

Lots of luck to you and yours!

Mayberry Room

2008-03-11 Thread Cheri Litton
Hey my fellow Mayberrian Friends,
Well, we are remodeling my Mayberry room and I need some help. I am
desperatly trying to get everything in there to be something or in someway
related to Mayberry. I have a good start. What I need is some way to itemize
the stuff. I want something in the room to be on each episode, that means I
need 249 items. Has anyone ever catagorized something like that? I would love
any ideas. My husband really thinks Im a NUT know. Oh, well, keeps me off the
streets as my mother always told me. Just any little tidbits of help would be
appreciated.
Thanks, and I am so thankful to be a member here. It's a lot of fun.

Yes Brenda Bee, I did see Gorge on the Factor. It was great to see
George still breathing. He looks great for his age. Funny how everyone
ages except us!! Thanks for mentioning that piece on the Factor.

I caught George on the Factor on Friday as well. It was a wonderful segment, as
is all of Mr. O's Television Icons on Friday evenings.

And I agree, George does look very good for his age. I guess that is what
Mayberry living will do for you!

Eagle's Wings

2008-03-11 Thread GARY WEDEMEYER

Hey folks,

I just wanted to remind everyone about the Annual Eagle's Wings weekend coming
up in Tuscaloosa, AL next month. Eagle's Wings is a great organization and
everyone should try to attend.

All of our favorite Mayberry Tribute Artists will be there wowing the crowd.
They will be having an auction on April 26. A silent auction begins at 6pm with
a live auction starting up right after dinner.

We have been working on an item for this years auction. Gibson Guitars
graciously donated a beautiful guitar and we have been getting as many celebs
as possible to sign it. We have been takling photos of the stars for an album
that will accompany the guitar in the auction. So far we have 33 signatures
ranging from Pat Summitt, Head Coach of the Tennessee Lady Volunteers, to
Academy Award winning Actor/Writer/Director Billy Bob Thornton.

I have placed a small video of the signers on my website. You can check it out
here:

http://www.mayberryemporium.net/html/eagle_s_wings.html

We invite as many people as possible to bid on this unique and one-of-a-kind
item. If you can't make it to the auction I'm sure we can arrange an absentee
bid for you. Remember this auction is for Eagle's Wings and all proceeds from
this auction will go directly to them.

Thanks and we will look for you in Tuscaloosa!!
