James Best Appears In Corydon His Hometown
Hello This information just appeared in our local newspaper today. James Best guitar player Jim Lindsey from the Andy Griffith Show to visit his hometown in Corydon, Indiana: James Best will present two performances of his one-man show, "In His Own Words" at Hayswood Theatre in Corydon Friday, June 4 and Saturday June 5 both at 8 PM. Tickets are $30 each and include a reception with snacks to give attendees an opportunity to meet James Best. Tickets go on sale Monday April 5 at the Blaine Wiseman Visitor center in Corydon, Indiana. Cash or check accepted. Tickets are expected to sell quickly as the theatre only seats 70. A brief ceremony to honor Best will begin Saturday June 5 at 2 PM followed by a book signing at the Gerdon Youth Center in downtown Corydon (formerly Corydon High School), Indiana which was a school James Best attended in the 1940's. Best will autograph copies of his new autobiography, "Best in Hollywood: The Good, the Bad and the Beautiful." Copies of the book will be available for purchase for $25 at the event or can be ordered online at _www.jamesbest.com_ (http://www.jamesbest.com) Autographed photos will also be available for purchase. This is a free event open to the public. Prior to James Best arrival, the Historical Society of Harrison county will host an educational film festival on Monday, May 24 beginning at 4 PM at the Harrison County Community Foundation building in Corydon, Indiana (address is 1523 Foundation Way NE). This will feature a chronological marathon of highlights of Best's movie career, possibly including "The Guitar Player" from "Andy Griffith Show". This event is also free and open to the public. BlueRay DVD
Hi I think that Blue -Ray DVD is comparable to HD DVD (High Definition DVD) but not the same format however. A different type of player. I'm thinking that Blue -Ray DVD players and HD DVD players will play regular DVD's, I hope, is this what the following is trying to say? I found this explanation while searching the Internet: Both Blu-ray and HD DVD players play and upconvert normal DVDs to a pseudo-HD (technically HD resolution, but less detail than true HD disks). Hi, There are several Andy Griifith Show ringtones out there. I couldn't find any MIDI ringtones less than 20 seconds in length. Once at this website, you'll have to click on (save) and then at the prompt click save file, and save the ringtone to your hard drive. It is a zipped file. If you can open the file up, then if you have a ringtone capable phone that plays/accepts WAV sound files and compatable service providers, if you are sure it will work on your phone then you may want to try sending the song to your phone (like email it to your phone or download from your PC to your cellphone). Then you will need to save the song to your phone. I have Verizon and I just emailed the song from my computer as an email attachment to my [EMAIL PROTECTED] (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]) (25 cent charge). Those wanting ringtones on Verizon email PIX capable/enabled cellphones might be able to send an email with attached .wav or .midi sound file straight to your cellphone without having to set up an account at ww.vzwpix.com. Not sure if you have to set up an account or not. To try it just send an email with attached sound file to yourverizoncellphonenumber@ vzwpix.com (300kb max). That is if you don't mind displaying your phone number accross the internet. Mayberry Ringtones Easy w/Verizon phones
Hi everyone out there in Mayberryland, I just discovered an easy way to send Mayberry ringtones to PIX messaging capable/enabled Verizon cellphones. Those with Verizon capable cellphones and interested can try this: go to https://www.vzwpix.com/login.do to set up your account so that your cellphone can receive Pictures, sounds, & more. Once your account is set up you can upload the ringtones from your computer to vzwpix and send it to your cellphone (might be more secure way?) or just email the ringtone to your cellphone from the Internet (your computer). This is much easier than going to some of these ringtone sites on the Internet or better than trying to surf the Internet for ringtones with your cellphones. There is a very small fee not sure how much yet, but pictures have been costing me 25 cents per PIC). So, once you are set up with Verizon's vzwpix place, just try this (this method is the easiest): Save Mayberry sounds to your computer (.wav or .midi sound files with maximum length 30 seconds and 300kb size). Send an email from your computer with the mayberry sound file attached to the email and email the sound file (which can be used as a ringtone) to your Verizon wireless phone [EMAIL PROTECTED] Download the sound and save to your phone. Works good and now I have Mayberry sounds on my cellphone.
