Is it a to-one or to-many relationship? It doesn't make sense to edit the batch fault on to-one, because it is effectively the same as the entity… Ken On Jan 29, 2013, at 1:14 PM, Chuck Hill wrote: > That should be editable. > > > On 2013-01-29, at 10:08 AM, Pascal Robert wrote: > >> I want to add some batch faulting in a model. Re: Batch Size not settable on relationship?
It is not editable on to-one relationships. You need to set it on the Entity to handle those or use ERXEnterpriseObjectCache or manual batch fetching or pre-fetching. Pt. Amateur. I've had 4k+ selects for the same query (using different values) to load a single page. I swear I could hear ERProfiller laughing it's braces off at me in scorn. Maybe it was just Chuck. Anywho, ERXEnterpriseObjectCache rocked my world! I even modified my EOGen template to make it so I can add one or more ERXEnterpriseObjectCaches to an Entity by simply adding entries in the UserInfo dictionary of the Entity and/or an Attribute. The template then rewrites all the standard fetch methods in the _Entity.java to defaulting to pull data out of the cache instead of creating an EOFetchSpec that goes to the DB.
