Re: [weewx-user] Re: Interceptor setup

2019-06-05 Thread Zsolt Máté
To be honest, I can't find anything related to hostapd in the logs.
sudo cat /var/log/syslog | grep hostapd returns nothing.
If I search my archived logs I can see the handshakes, etc, but nothing in
my latest ones.

You also had a few charts with no observations beneath (the ones with the
double brackets, like the empty [[chart3]]). You can compare this one
attached to the one you had to try and find the differences.

Attached is a graph set that worked for me.

Take a look at the Belchertown Chart Wiki

First, you need to figure out how you would want to interface Weewx i.e.
USB cable or Wireless. The three you looked posted would need a SDR.
Second, you would need to find out if there are weewx drivers to support
the weather station.

Yes. The cable is attached to what is actually a data logger, which
contains 1Mbit of memory. The weather records are actually stored in this
logger, not in the console. The logger has to be compatible with the
console. More about this

Re: [weewx-user] Suggestions for good starter weather station 2019

2019-06-05 Thread p q
If you can find out if the Acurites have a USB connection you can connect
it right up to the Raspi and be in business. If they don't, I don't know
how you'd do it. I have one of the older 5 in 1s and it has a USB output
that I use with a Raspi 2 and Weewx.

By the way, you can pretty much ignore the displays. You're going to get
something much better with Weewx if you set it up the way you like it.

If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't buy a weather station. I'd buy
the sensors and connect them to the PI. Something like this:
https://www.sparkfun.com/products/8942 or
https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/build-your-own-weather-station/
You can get a ton more functionality for less money if you build it
yourself.

[weewx-user] Suggestions for good starter weather station 2019

Hi

I have been thinking about getting a weather station, saw weewx and am
excited about it, but don't know what weather station is compatible good to
start with, just need internal and external temperatures and humility that
is easy to setup to with weewx, Nice lcd display on the station would be
nice, instant eye candy before weewx would be great. Wireless is a plus.
The weather station budget is about $50 or so. Already have a Raspberry or
can spin up a VM to run the software.

Thanks

Thank you for your help.

Just to be sure, could you define "console" dans "logger" ? You mean the
adapter cable we put inside could be a version which is not working with
the weather station ?

I wrote to Davis, but I still didn't get any answer.

others can help you in this thread though.

Do you see any errors in your Linux syslog? Is your website public that I
