Super big thanks to TK and to all who contribute to weewx!Thank you!

Upgraded from 3.8.0 to 3.9.1 last night. Everything is running smoothly.

2019-02-09 Thread Walter Smith
I changed it to HTML_ROOT = /var/www/html/weewx/smartphone and now it works
ok. Before it was overwriting the seasons index.html. The graphs
displayed on the smartphone pages are the older graphs. Is the newer
smartphone skin supposed to use the newer graphs? Also, on a side note, I
still cannot get the Edge browser to display anything. Isn't that weird?
I went so far as to delete all my cookies, temp files, everything. Just
getting a blank screen. Things display OK in Firefox & IE. Using Nginx,
did not change any settings in Nginx. Installed Raspian Stretch Lite V
4.14 about a week ago. Did a clean install of weewx yesterday using
apt-get instructions in userguide. That installed V3.9.1

post the log. Set debug=1, restart weewx, post from startup through the

Re: [weewx-user] Re: V3.9.1

2019-02-09 Thread Thomas Keffer
It looks like the default HTML_ROOT for SmartphoneReport is not the
smartest choice. We have

[[SmartphoneReport]]
# The SmartphoneReport uses the 'Smartphone' skin, and the images and
# files are placed in a dedicated subdirectory.
skin = Smartphone
enable = false
HTML_ROOT = public_html/smartphone

That means you'll find the smart phone report in a subdirectory
public_html/smartphone. In your case, that would be
/var/www/html/public_html/smartphone. See if the reports are in there.

It really should be set to a simple 'smartphone', not 'public_html/smartphone'.

Don't know how that got messed up.

Re: [weewx-user] Re: V3.9.1

2019-02-07 Thread bgrattan
Tom,

I'm not sure why I have this problem because it sounds like we have the
same setup. My son setup a station VP2 + APRS logger + RPI in Norway and
had the same problem. I read about the fix somewhere in the group a few
years ago and have had to use it with each upgrade as the vantage.py is
overwritten by a new version. It was something about the APRS logger
sending constant data where the regular logger waits for requests for data.
The explanation is beyond my expertise.
