Hi John,
I will tell you that the answer to west nile power shortages is
getting FEDERO for region. That means local revenue is used according
to the priorities of the people in the region. As a friend of west
niles, it is very painful for me to see all tobacco revenues coming to
Kampala, without a coin back to the region. I have been in texas for
the last one month. Man, each coin here in taxes counts to social
services
So federo is the way to go

I will disagree with you Akua. Christine Munduru is an exemplary
person held in high esteem countrywide. I know well the concept behind
the Science Cafe and i fully support it. It is a harmless initiative
to make a contribution to the welfare of people's health. I will
encourage you Akua to separate personal vendetta against Christine
from an otherwise good forum for constructive ideas. Science cafe is
helping people in Kampala and Entebbe. What makes you Akua think it is
not good for westnilers. Kindly revisit your ideas.

Re: [WestNileNet] State of the Foundation Address

Good text. What role do interested parties to the region, but not
necessarily coming from there shall play? Also building partnership with
like minded groups from other parts of the country to say " promote mutual
development and cultural exchange." A person like me has a history of
100years ties with west nile, from my grand father having made a covenant
with a west niler. so, some of us can play roles like fundraising, good
will ambassador or even lobbying for student scholarship from Kabaka
Education fund or still, even talking to good schools to consider giving
one or two or so bursaries for disadvantaged students from the region. i
know some well wishers who have schools, may be they need to be reached
out to. So, associate interested parties have a role to play as well
