@Ottomata @Gehel: I tried editing stat1005:/srv/published-datasets/discovery/metrics/wdqs/basic_usage.tsv but couldn't because the file belongs to group analytics-search, not analytics-search-users which sort of makes sense because of how we have it configured right now in statistics::discovery:

Can confirm that my experience (probably on ~20 Sept if that helps narrow it down; Firefox 62 under Ubuntu) was as Magnus describes it. TASK DESCRIPTIONSometimes, when attempting to add another value to an entity, the UI presents an input for a property ID, as if one had started to add a new statement, instead of just an input for the value.

That's a classic disambiguation problem. Most Wikipedia's seem to be

* Hover of the link to get a hovercard in your favorite backup language
* Generate an article placeholder for the user with basic information
in the local language
* Pre-populate the translate extension so you can translate the
article from another language

(probably plenty of other good uses)

Where to store this link? I'm not sure about that. On some
Wikipedia's people have tested with local templates around the red
links. That's not structured data, clutters up the Wikitext, it
doesn't scale and the local communities generally don't seem to like
the approach. That's not the way to go. Maybe a better option would
be to create a new property on Wikidata to store the name of the
future article. Something like Q116510: Pxxx -> (nl)"Friedrich Ris".
Would be easiest because the infrastructure is there and you can just
build tools on top of it, but I'm afraid this will cause a lot of
noise on items. A couple of suggestions wouldn't be a problem, but
what is keeping people from adding the suggestion in 100 languages?

Thanks for looking into it, @Nuria! And for confirming, @elukey @Ottomata! :)

A note for #operations: this is not the first time we've encountered an issue like this. Last year our query for Maps usage stopped working because of partition changes that we weren't told of (T167083), and this is exactly like that. Nobody on #product-analytics is subscribed to ops@lists.wikimedia (because 99.999% of those threads would be irrelevant to us), so I just want to point out that the decisions made by Ops that affect data sources like wmf.webrequest table need to be communicated to analysts who rely on those data sources.

TASK DESCRIPTIONMost of the autocomplete data is coming back looking pretty good, but property search has a significant number of events with mostly null values. Click Index varies, which suggests users are choosing an item from some list, but whatever that list and wherever it came from is not recorded in the schema.

Figure out where these are coming from and fix up the data collection so that we don't have all these null values, and so we know where the data is coming from.

Hello Maarten,

We do Semantic SEO so we heavily rely on the schema.org vocabulary. We're
using a SPARQL approach, our input parameter is a DBpedia URI which we use
to retrieve schema.org types and properties using the following properties
chains:

* wdt:P31* (instance of) /wdt:P279* (subclass of) /wdt:P1709* (equivalent
class) to retrieve the schema.org types
* wdt:P1628 (equivalent property) to retrieve the schema.org properties

The result is quite encouraging, e.g. [1]:

TASK DESCRIPTIONT204109 profiles a 30 seconds API edit request and determines that roughly 10 seconds of that time is spent in the AbuseFilter edit filter hook.
T204109#4602542 looks at how many more elements can possible be ignored when generating the text that is passed to the AbuseFilter.
Ignoring more elements not only speeds up the execution time of the collection of strings, but will also have knock on effects of the time taken to process all of the strings.
