Then if you have any additional comment to add, follow with that, specifically
things like, you are now hesitant to invest your money while NetNEutrality
rules exist.
That the rules could make it hard for you to stay in business. Etc

Dont get caught up on detail of NetNeutrality. This is not the time to debate
which NetNeutrality methods or components would or wouldn't be good. This is
not a time to change or modify NetNEutrality rules. This is a higher level
hearing to answer. "Should the FCC Rulemaking be reversed or not reversed".

Important: When I was heading legisaltive committee last year, I gathered that
most members were against NetNeutrality, or atleast did not approve of the
NetNEutrality rules released by the FCC. There were a few that did not appose
it or supported NetNeutrality to a limited extend. I argue that if
NetNEutrality rules were to exist, the final rules that should exist, are NOT
the rules released by the FCC that ignored WISPs. Regardless of one's position
on NetNeutrality, I truly believe it is to everyone's benefit to have the
current FCC NetNeutrality rules overturned. At least that would allow a fresh
start, and Congress a chance to get it right via later law making..

In conclusion... I'm pretty sure I will do a good job testifying on behalf of
my company and WISP industry. But we can improved our chances, with support
letters. We have the power to kill NetNeutrality promptly.

2011-03-06 Thread Jerry Richardson
You got me thinkingbeing on a public streetlight I doubt it would pass code
without a UL stamp.

But by the time I get the adapter, both ends of the Bulgin, the cable, and the
power supply I can buy the FP-288 http://www.midsouthglobal.net/FPOwl.htm which
is 24VDC out. Then I can just use the standard RJ45 weatherproof connector kit.

Less hassle to be sure. The only downside is that I can't get to the PSU - have
to replace the whole adapter.

Actually, right after sending the last e-mail, I thought, the weatherproofing
may be the problem. Yes it is all metal inside, but the 2 pieces are not bonded
to each other when you put in the gasket. No way to ensure a low resistance
connection between the box and the back of the antenna.

I am not saying it couldn't be, just that it probably isn't as that is not the
designed usage. And in many places, without a UL or similar rating, the local
electrical inspector won't like it if he finds it.

If you just want to get the cable in use the stuff that comes with the
enclosure. 14/3 should fit in there. If not, any electrical supply
house should have similar device.
If you want a plug/jack, I would go to the nearest electrical supply
house and ask them what they have that will fit the hole.
