Re: [WISPA] UBNT repeater
Thanks. I thought I had read somewhere that there was a way to use the UBNT gear as a repeater or extender (not WDS) that involved something like leaving the ssid blank, and the unit would act as a client to the nearest open network but also act as an AP allowing it to repeat (extend) the open network it found. Maybe I dreamt about about it. Re: [WISPA] UBNT repeater
I use UBNT as a repeater by using a NanoM that has a secondary Ether and plug a second radio in it pointing to where I want to go and set it also as an AP, not WDS, with a different channel. Gets me around "corners" as in clumps of trees or whatever. Never had the SSID blank but I have set some SSID to ANY which will allow anyone to connect with zero security. Re: [WISPA] UBNT repeater
If it isn't doing WDS you need to a) plug into the station or b) plug an AP into that same station.
