From what I say in the last beta they did,
Version 6 is a Java product.
So it will run pretty much the same on both Mac and windows

My understanding of RSS is that it is a server that responds with
feeds in a specific XML format.

Should be pretty easy to do in WiTango.

Does anyone have some experience with this?

Is it a http feed? Or does it use a different port?

I've got Windows and Mac servers, but *prefer* to code/work on Mac. I've not
had a problem with Mac for editing tafs. That is...until I upgraded to
Leopard and cannot get the ".taf" to be recognized by the Witango Editor
(5.5) no matter what I do. I used to have an applescript to "change
creator", but that doesn't work on Leopard. I've tried changing in 'get
info'. I've tried using 'Default Apps'.And, of course, therefore the editor
says it can't open the files. I may have to install the editor on my
Parallels and "do windows" for a while. Bummer.

How about questions about transitions to other/new technologies?

Do you plan to move existing Witango applications to other technologies?
a) already started
b) starting now
c) 1 to 3 years
d) no need to for now

What do you see as workable transition platform?
a) LAMP / PHP
b) MS visual studio/dot net
c) ...
f) no opinion yet

How often do you use Witango?

- I use WiTango every 3 to 4 months on average. Usually it's to add a feature
to an existing app for an existing client. 1 new WiTango project in the last 2
years. Unfortunately, my clients and complexity of the applications my clients
have requested have gone beyond the capabilities of the WiTango technology. In
many cases, it would take too long to incorporate a feature in WiTango (PDF
generation, image resizing) than in another technology that already has it
incorporated.

 Mikal,
The major issue we have is that we have to make sure that the code
is OK to go open source and the license protects WT's rights.
Without these being finished we cannot release. We were also
advised to not issue any more betas until this was completed. When
the lawyers give us the OK we will get it out.

 Regards

 Phil
