Hi, Meanwhile I did go back to a snapshot from 2008 of this machine - but even now, neither manual install using install_flash_player_32bit.exe nor via wpkg works. Installation shows 100% - Fertig and it's not there. Really strange, but not essential ... I have just checked and the Win2k systems where FP11 fails to install don't have VC++ Redistributables 2008 installed. Might be worth a try. VC++ redists had been on the system, but after all I had success doing the following: Using IE I opened www.adobe.com/software/flash/about, asking a question to install flash player. After clicking on install, the same installation as usual was done. But then, the page showed: [an error occurred while processing this directive] You have version 11,0,1,152 installed After reloading the page, flash player loaded and all was fine. Of course I had to try uninstalling/reinstalling now using AdobeFlashPlayer package. But same again - failed checking ... Using the above method via www.adobe.com/software/flash/about the installation succeeded again. So, there seems to be a certain difference between the distribution exe and the online installation. Hi Falko, This is a really strange situation you are facing, so it seems this could be related to anything :-P Since there is no trace of an error this is more than just odd. Hello Stefan, Nothing - only ... failed checking after installation, which is true, as IE doesn't have Flash Player installed and there is no entry in Systemsteuerung-Software vor Flash Player ActiveX. Perhaps something with this workstation only - may be I have to reinstall XP. it's XP 32 in VMWare guest. Have you checked the AV not blocking the installation if run as SYSTEM user? Yes - no entries in the log, even after deactivation no change. Falko, The issue for my Win2k systems is a problem with the d3d9.dll, which is not found, since those systems are servers I don't care at all. Flash Player 10 was working without problems, so that will be the version on those systems. Using http://wpkg.org/Flash_Player#Combined_32-bit_and_64-bit_Window s_package_for_both.2C_IE_and_others I have the problem, that the install_flash_player_ax_32bit.exe /install does nothing - neither manually nor with wpkg. Running install_flash_player_ax_32bit.exe manually without /install worked - but only once. Next wpkg run does remove it again, that's why I excluded the uninstall... commands. But now, neither manual nor wpkg install succeeds, even after reboot. Any idea? Falko, I have this package running successfully on Win2k, WinXP, Vista and Win7 at home. Hello Stefan, at first: thanx for the package and your contributions for Wpkg. I have this package running successfully on Win2k, WinXP, Vista and Win7 at home. At work it runs fine on Server 2k3, 2k8 and 2k8 R2. There only seems to be a problem with Server 2k. What does the debug log tell you? Nothing - only ... failed checking after installation, which is true, as IE doesn't have Flash Player installed and there is no entry in Systemsteuerung-Software vor Flash Player ActiveX.
