[xmail] Re: POP3 SYNC ERROR

2004-05-07 Thread Jaques Metz
Hi...

I've found the problem... the external server where the mail server
syncronizes the messages doesn't allow more than 4 simultaneous connections
from the same IP address. I don't know if XMail have a configuration that
would syncronize messages from the 1st account, after this syncronize the
2nd account, and so on...

Why this? To do only one connection with the external server...

I hope you understand me...

Thanks a lot!

Jaques

[xmail] Problem with mailproc and procmail

2004-06-18 Thread Jaques Metz
Hi.

I'm trying to use procmail to filter the messages in my mail server, to
delete all kind of files that could be dangerous (.exe, .pif, .com, and so
on), but I'm having trouble to do the mailproc.tab run the procmail
program...

Does anyone use procmail, or there is another way to do this?

PS.: my mailproc.tab has the following line:

"extenal"[TAB]"0"[TAB]"0"[TAB]"/usr/bin/procmail"[TAB]"@@FILE"

Thanks,

Jaques

[xmail] Xmail 1.18 and SPF

2004-10-01 Thread Jaques Metz
Hi, folks... here we go again...
My mail server is running XMail 1.18, and I have set XMail to use the xm-spf.pl filter
for SPF...

Unfortunatelly, xmail appears to ignore the existence of the filters.pre-data.tab...
The question is: Is XMail 1.18 compatible with SPF, or, in other way, does XMail 1.18
read the file filters.pre-data.tab for SMTP filtering?

Thanks,

Jaques Metz

[xmail] Domain Mailbox Quota?

2005-01-13 Thread Jaques Metz
Hello people...
Xmail have mailbox quota per user, but I want to use a mailbox limit per
domain, for example, a domain called "xyzdomain.com" has 10 user accounts that
could only use 100 MB of disk space...

Note: the accounts doesn't have a specific mailbox size, for example, one
account can use 90% of disk space designated to the domain, while the other
accounts have now only 10% of disk space...

Is this possible with XMail?

I hope you undertand me...

Thanks,

Jaques Metz

[xmail] Please Help!!!

2005-08-22 Thread Jaques Metz
Hi...

I have been using XMail 1.18 since July 2004, syncronyzing POP from my external
mail provider.

But the mail provider has changed his configurations, and now I need to login
with fully qualified usernames ([EMAIL PROTECTED], not only username).

There wouldn't be a problem, 'cause in PSYNC you can specify a fully qualified
username, the problem is that I'm using XMail to forward emails through SMTP to
my external mail provider, and the external mail provider is SMTP
authenticated, so, I also need the fully qualified username for SMTP login...

How can I solve this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Jaques Metz

[xmail] Question

2005-08-24 Thread Jaques Metz
Hi, folks.

I've installed XMail 1.21 on a Linux Slackware 10.0, and configured it:

domain: domain.com
POP sync from pop.external-mailserver.com
SMTP fwd to smtp.external-mailserver.com

It's allright, but I have a problem: there are some users that doesn't exist in
XMail but ARE from domain.com. When users in XMail send mail to these users
XMail should forward mail to the external-mailserver, but, since these users
don't exist, XMail reject email, giving the "unknown user" error.

Is there a way to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.
