Lil' hack-together2
As mentioned in my previous post - it's nothing to look at actually:) I try to keep the client as simple as it gets while not loosing the basic functionality. http://satfilm.net.pl/~gammaray/blastwave/blastwave_27042007.png Here a screenie;) Any critique, tips, ideas welcome:) ___ Xmms2-devel mailing list Xmms2-devel@lists.xmms.se http://lists.xmms.se/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/xmms2-devel

Do you plan to have a customizable look like Foobar2k? That's pretty complex, but also a great strength of Foobar2k over, well, all other music players. > Here a screenie;) Any critique, tips, ideas welcome:) By separating mlib/playlist in tabs, you make them exclusive, which might be annoying if you want to use what you find by browsing/searching in the mlib to drag and drop into the playlist. One solution is to have parallel views, though it makes the client larger. I think you should have a look at the collection API for the medialib view, in particular the xmmsc_coll_parse function if you want to have a search field, and xmmsc_coll_* in general too in fact. General question: do you have particular ideas that you want to see in your client, which for instance would not be compatible with existing clients such as Insanity? -- Sébastien Cevey <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | http://sirius.cine7.net/ | GPG: AEE9D6B9 Jabber: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | ICQ: 48895760 | MSN: [EMAIL PROTECTED] " We are all curators, in the post-modern world, whether we want to be or not. When it comes to features/looks of the app, nothing is certain yet as it's in the pre-dev phase, but introducing some foobar2k feats is pretty tempting and I'm considering to implement them. Note: my client is not 'offical', and the earlier posts of mine are NOT an announcement;) I might never show it to the world actually (read: not in it;s current state) :) Maciej -- Maciej Podkomorzy : [EMAIL PROTECTED] | Jabber : [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ Xmms2-devel mailing list Xmms2-devel@lists.xmms.se http://lists.xmms.se/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/xmms2-devel
